Mixed feelings:
  • Wolverine - it's appropriately visceral, but it still came across underwhelming, even a bit boring. Felt like a "style over substance" AAA game.

The problem that game is gonna have is inconsistency, Wolverine is shown able to slice metal like butter, but is difficult for him to do the same against some douchebag with tiny ass metalic arms? I know it's done for gameplay purposes, but they shouldn't have made a reskinned Spider-Man game then, it should be Wolverine tearing hordes of enemies because they're nothing against him and his only "weakness" should be ranged and constant barrage of bullets + whatever mutant villain

I dont recall Cratos coming to this land, if its a purgatory of sorts for God's. If that's the case, Odin would be there, along with everyone else from Ragnarok. Unless, this is for Giants only. I'm curious of how the writing is going to get her out of there since a gate being sealed was mentioned several times

Usually I love to discuss and theories things, but after the dissapointment of ragnarök, I can't be bothered with this shit.

I will most likely wait till this hits ps plus. I won't be surprised if they ask full price for this spin off.
 
I hate to break it to everybody, but if all you pay attention to is the look and sex of the protagonist and the general level of "representation" you are the woke.

So congrats I guess, you allowed the progressives to play you so thoroughly, you turned into them.

You aren't saved. Most of those people who pushed that stuff and was okay with it is still working in those studios. It will simply be sneaked into the games in small pieces or at the end of the game. They will have learned their lessons and do more bait and switch.
 
I missed this live, but I'm watching it now. Wolverine looks sick. Way better than I expected tbh.

Ok... there is definitely something wrong with GAF... or is it just the entire internet?

Dare I say it's officially gotten to a point where I would tell anyone that want sto actually play and enjoy games to stay away from gaming forums... all that we do on here when it comes to games is just talk shit and act all jaded about EVERYTHING.

How old are you?

Im 39 and becoming jaded as hell because all these games offer zero depth and are just fancy movies where you press a button here and there

(the Sony games that is)

It is clearly a certain trend with sony games which we played plenty the last few years. A 20 minute trailer is enough.

I'm 45 and I have been gaming since I was 7... and no, I am not jaded one bit. I also know exactly what to expect and what kinda games appeal to me, and know not to berate everything that doesn't appeal to me.

If you have been gaming for a decent while, then no one has to tell you that there is very little they can do as far as making games around the standard 3d dual analogue stick control scheme. You also know that all these "fancy moves press button here or there" can be said about most games, and doesn't mean that the game actually lacks gameplay depth. But of course we are going to call them the "Sony games." I mean, sure, lets ignore the 3mins of actual gameplay that precede the 5-second QTE finisher because the only thing that happened was the finisher. Or lets act like cutscenes are great as long as they aren't interactive in any way.

Its just a lazy and ultimately false take.

But here is my thing, or my challenge.... over here (and this is why I stay out of actual game threads) all we do is talk about how everything sucks... while that's happening, can whoever is doing that also point out what "doesn't" suck? But more importantly.... should EVERY GAME then be made to be a clone of that suck-free game?

If that happens... you'll be shocked at what or which kinda games you would see... and you will also see the kinda double standards that prevail in this community, especially when games are actually being discussed.

It's honestly tiring... but that's it for me, I am out of this thread, I knew it would be like this anyway, and I stay away from these kinda threads for this reason exactly, I will stick to the tech threads. At least there you wouldn't have to hope anyone understands what it means to be subjective.
