Fair point,I moved out from London 10 years after being born and raised there,I'm now in a village in the sticks, best bit about going back to London to see my family ect is........ the road back out

It's a Silent Hill game that looks like a butt ton of walking/walking & stealth horror FPS games. Nothing about it has hooked me. I'll keep the smallest pulse on it.

When I lived in Japan I could walk around feeling safe alone at 3 am in the morning. In London these days I feel unsafe walking around at 3 in the afternoon. It's a scary place now, full of scum and violent crime.
Just the other day I saw two violent phone muggings within hours of each other. When I lived in Bethnel Green back in the 90's it was kinda rough in parts but nothing like it is now.

If it is only a short segment akin to The Evil Within 2 I can tolerate it but a whole game would be whack.

If this is a heavy hide and seek / stealth game, it will be my first ever skipped Silent Hill, absolutely hate that shit. Maybe within the next 5 months it will be more clear what it is, but had dreaded this since first gameplay reveal.
Edit - Seems to be £45 on Steam, so probably even closer to £30 on the usual key sites, might tempt me, but not sure.

I don't know. I'm not bursting with excitement. I don't expect it to be bad but I don't know if it'll be good. I didn't think Sh f was all that great after beating it. This looks ok, but I skipped that mini series they did. The Short Message was "ok". This could be good but I wouldn't say this was the second coming of Silent Hill. I'd rank RE above SH except for SH2 remake they did.
I'm skeptical like any typical SH fan since the OG years. I'm also not getting my hopes up.
Maybe part of SH f was culture shock and no real relatable characters. Perhaps this could be better than f was?

Yea saw plenty of people getting robbed at knife point lots of gang violence and postcode shit when I was in secondary school as it was the rise of the grime music era. I was north London near Bruce grove.It calmed down a bit by the time I started uni like 2010 but 2004-2008 was really bad.
Japan is very safe,would love to visit one day.

It looked like every other UE5 indie stealth horror games on steam.
Protag trauma seems to have to do with war so not having combat is a weird choice (if he fought in a war he knows how to fight).
Maybe there will be some and the devs just hide it from us. I really hope so becasue if not the game will just not be a silent hill.

Defo small world,I lived near the carribean food place 'jerkies' near the barber shops dee ultimate and top cut ect for about 3 years literally down the road from you near the stadium lol.
Moved to Enfield after that and then left for good old suffolk in 2015.

I still think both Konami and Kojima lost by canning the Silent Hill game. Seems like it would've been a good fit.

Back then I was working at the MI5 building in Thames House, then moved to Japan and did contract security for 10 years, now back in Wiltshire near RAF base where I work now.
Wiltshire countryside still feels like oldschool Englad, I love it. A far cry away from London and relatively safe.

What are you bitching about? Silent HIll 2 and Silent Hill f were both fantastic, and Townfall is looking very promising as well.

ILL is on a different level. It is my 2027 game of the year. About Silent hill T, im not sold on FPS version and this does not look like a canon or connected to past Silent hill games. At least Silent hill F has some connections to the lore.

One silent hill a year is crazy pace, even if they are walking simulators...
You might be in your own silent hill, and hell for you is konami churning out endless trash using the ip you love, without you being able to do anything about it. Think about it next time you hear static on a radio.

Also when this game inevitably fails to be as successful as Silent Hill F was, I'll bet my left kidney that the devs won't interpret the reasons correctly.

Harry Mason and James Sunderland are revealed at the end to be actually working for the KKK and Pyramidhead is the head of the KKK all along. And that the
fog in Silent Hill was never actually fog, it was people from the KKK filling the town with smoke from smoke machines, to obstruct black peoples vision and keep them down.
P.S. I mean no ill intent, just how crazy modern western developers are and that these days nothing is too crazy for them to actually believe
