What game are you currently playing?

Played through Dark Pictures: Little Hope as it was leaving PS+. Much better than Man of Medan with a bit more of a classic spooky setting. There's a lot that I like with these type of games but the Dark Pictures anthology clearly has less polish than Until Dawn. The actions and results often feel quite chopped together rather than seamless. Like all these games, not sure how much impact your choices actually have on story. I replayed the ending twice, changing my choices without it actually leading to any signifcant change.
Hopefully House of Ashes comes to subscriptions at some point. Have heard it's the best in the series.

Star Wars Outlaws

Boy it sounds great. And the cities are dense and beautiful.
The problem is that I played a lot of Avatar, and this is a very dumbed down Avatar. It's like those memes of what happens when a PC series is ported to consoles.

Avatar is basically Crysis in the open world of Far Cry Primal. It has many gadgets and systems which translate into tons of options. The AI is vicious. The freedom of movement is unparalleled. Infiltrating one of the many gigantic facilities is intimidating.

Outlaws is cut from the same cloth but has... Almost none of that lol. The world is probably just as big - but has fewer travel options and fewer systems that feed into each other. The bases are huge - and patrolled by like ten stupid dudes, with barely any enemy variety. There are fewer tools in my arsenal. Everywhere I look I see the Avatar template but almost none of the variety that makes that game so fun.

Avatar makes you feel smart because it gives you a fuckton of toys and possibilities to combine them, and makes you face overwhelming odds. Outlaws makes you choose the back entrance (zero enemies) or the front entrance (two enemies) and puts an exploding barrel there as an optional tool.

If you fuck up stealth, Avatar has that Far Cry 2 style of improvisation where things go completely nuts and you might end up accidentally torching the entire outpost and yourself. Outlaws has a shitty blaster (I appreciate the commitment!) and if you're lucky you find a shitty weapon on the ground.

Anyway I played 12 hours and I guess I'll focus on the main quests because it's not bad, it's just kinda boring. It has all the bones of a good game but it's too damn simple.

Kinda just waiting for 007 really.

I tried installing Far Cry 3 but it soft froze every time on the logo screen at launch. Apparently the solution might be to set my entire pc to use less cores lol. Fuck that. C'mon Ubisoft. Uninstalling for now if I can't get it working soon.

All 4 Dark Pictures games were already in the Plus sub. House of Ashes and Devil in Me left earlier for some reason. Man of Medan was in Essential, so anyone that has gotten it back then should be able to play it forever as long they have an active sub. Only PS4 though, while the games while in the Extra tier were also PS5.
Maybe it comes back some day. Together with Quarry and the current sci-fi game as a package deal.

Maquette
Finished it after having it installed and started forever ago. The puzzles were okay, but also clumsy with how easy it can be to just not see one item and thus not get the problem/ next step and then naturally struggling how to solve it. The story was depressingly real with how much the nagging of a female, expecting only the highs of love, and dragging down her partner's mood with her own impossible expectations, can sabotage the joy of any relationship. No idea though why you want to tell this in the end rather unrelated backstory inside this brightly colored puzzle game. Felt utterly mismatched in tone.

Fresh file on House Flipper. I actually have two new, but this is my main. Hotfish Services is the name of my company.

I may also go back to Powerwash Simulator, and this weekend I want to start the new Lego Batman game.

I'm looking for a game to play before 007 and Mina come out in a week and I decided not to start Crimson Desert because I don't want to learn a game that apparently has a steep learning curve only to stop cold to play two other games and fall out of the flow and rhythm of the game. So I'll start it after. I decided to start Nobody Saves the World.

Anyone have thoughts on this game?

Been rotating Street Fighter 6 and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate this week. Maining Ryu in both lol. Having a lot of fun.

Second run through RE2R with Clair. It seems like Leon route is more polished? Game is stressful as hell but that's more of my fault as I can't tolerate horror games but I guess this is exposure therapy in a way.

Advance Wars 1+2 on Switch 2: I have the first campaign beaten, about 10 missions into the second. It's a shame WayForward never got a chance to patch the game, it was about two patches from greatness. I'm still having fun with it, but to be honest it just makes me miss Dual Strike on the DS, that was my favorite AW game by far.

On the PS5 Pro I'm still churning through FF7 Rebirth, trying to 100% as much of the game as I can (so far the only thing I realize I'm never getting a trophy for is the piano mini game, I played about three rounds of that and realized it wasn't happening for me lol). I'm about 73 hours in and am sending a point of no return coming up so I've cleaned up almost all the side quests I can find. I still have two more that I know of left but both seem to require higher leveled characters so I'm grinding out unfinished challenges in the Chadley Combat Simulator. I really wanted to beat this game before I leave to go on vacation on Sunday but I don't see that happening with work, packing and kids in the mix.

So I bought a month of Game Pass on PC and tried Subnautica 2 and Forza Horizon 6.

Both games are decent, but I got bored pretty quickly after a few hours. I guess they're just not really my type of games but I still wanted to give them a try

Next I'm going to try Lego Batman and 007. Hopefully those can keep me interested for longer. I am a big fan of Batman in general and I loved the modern Hitman Trilogy so I have high hopes for these two games

Pure coincidence but yesterday I restarted Far Cry 4 on my XSX.
I want to get back into it as I barely played when it first released.

I crashed as the prologue ended and my save was corrupted 😆

Oh well I'll try again tonight.

That sucks! Hopefully it's just a freak coincidence and not something that just happens every time :pie_open_mouth: .

While I was trying to fix 3 I did read that their engine in that period wasn't very good compared to how it was before and how it would be in the future, so now we have issues trying to run those games.

Also I never realized until now that the same actor, Michael Mando, who plays Vaas in Fary Cry 3 also plays Nacho in Better Call Saul :pie_open_mouth: . Cool.

Also he's from Quebec City so he apparently did the French version of Vaas himself, too.

I'm still very early in the game and looking to get to the point where you are on good terms with all the factions...(Some way to go yet..) I haven't brought the game but playing it on Gamepass, but progress on that is on hold, as Forza Horizon 6 arrived...!! Unfortuantely what you had mentioned of it having the bones of a good game, it will never get the chance to build up on as the sequel got cancelled...I would have like to have seen in the sequel you being able to hop onto any abandoned bike instead of only being allowed to use your own designated one...Also the sequel could have had Maul in it in some capacity...

Okay RE2R second run is done. 10 hours with Leon and 9 hours with Clair which seems like a lot but took my time.

30 hours into Cyberpunk 2077. If the writing wasn't so good, there would've been nothing to scavenge out of this product.

Here's 48 minutes of bullshit for example. Not a goddamn clue why they realized this video considering it was mostly nonsense.

Arietta of Spirits
A cute, fun Zelda-like adventure game. Quite casual in everything that it does. Enjoying it so far.

Pokemon Pokopia
I've opened my first gate and wandered through. Bit of a dark zone but I've lightened things up with lots of mushroom lamps. Met a Meowth who is fortunately much nicer than the Team Rocket one.

Final Fantasy V
Made it to the Ship Graveyard; I love a spooky little area in my JRPGS.

I enjoyed CP 2077 even for someone like me who doesn't enjoy WRPGs but also this game is the most unpolished game ever experienced….even after all the patch there so many bugs and bad game mechanics that just takes you out of the experience.

If wasn't for its setting and story I don't think I would play this, the moment to moment gameplay is really unfun.

I suck at first person shooters, I was wondering how hard is the shooting parts. Also suck at driving segments. I have the game and plan to play it eventually. I've wanting a game like this for a long time. I wish they included the third person gameplay mechanics but I heard they cut that out due to investors wanting the game to be out faster

The shooting isn't bad but I HATE the melee combat in this game. An enemy can be far way swing his sword in air but I'm still taking damage. Melee combat in this game can feel so clusterfuck and janky.

Yeah I also really hope the next game is 3rd person. Why the fuck is the point give us high detail character creating but 90% of the game we just see hands.

How are the driving sections in the game? Is there an auto drive feature?

Destiny 2. Will be with the community till it ends. This is honestly the best time to play, if you're new join us on June 9.

Nothing at the moment. Beat Re9/Nioh3/Pragmata/Saros all during their launch window and now life feels empty without any new game. Hopefully, 007 turns out to be good next week.

Same here. Completed my backlog and am now finally at the point (or at least I thought) where I can just enjoy the new games…. Only to realize that most new games are slop.

Modern gaming is such a drag.

Balatro is on sale on Android and I just time travelled 4 hours into the future wtf

I HAD STUFF TO DO
I've been playing Balatro for 18 months straight now. It's basically all I play on Switch. Glad I bought a Switch OLED to almost exclusively play a $15 indie game with NES graphics. Enjoy not having the rest of your life.

Bought Diablo 2 Resurrected as it's currently on sales on Steam and dabble around with the new Warlock class. It's pretty cool.
Mostly I'm just passing time though. Know Diablo 2 in and out and none of the new games peaks my interest.

Gran Turismo 7 on my brand new Ps5 pro

I can't stop playing, this shit is phenomenal

I play it almost everyday it's so awesome and addictive, had to force myself to play it less recently cause i have to go back to my solo games.

I don't think I ever jumped off of a GT game faster than GT7. I really miss the days of GT1 & GT2. But I also think racing games can't hold my attention anymore, at least not on the big screen. I don't mind Mario Kart while watching my Dodgers play.

Sounds like a good problem to have

Does this game have 24-hour races?

I'm trying to recreate the classic Gran Turismo weekend lookbacks with my old friends. Multiple TVs with consoles, a BBQ, pitching in for food and racing all day. I'd love to set that up again.

Try it on psvr2. Its fantastic.

Yeah each their own, i can't play any Mario specially spin off mario more than 5 minutes without getting bored altho this was fun back in the day in Super Famicom era and it wasn't even in my top 10 favorite game. But i can go 10 hours non stop on games like God Of War or Tekken.

I just randomly rewatched this trailer which makes me want to replay Armored Core VI again.

When you fully finished the game this trailer hits different and even Walter talks about this event in the actual game.

God I LOVED this game! You don't expect it since you never see characters faces but this game had best character story in any FROM game.

Do you guys play in cockpit mode or third mode where you see the car? I always love driving non-cockpit but the way the cars move in this are pretty meh.

Been playing nothing but FH6 like a madman last few days so will take today to get something else in.

Either DMC5 (after seeing the shitty season 2 of that netflix anime) or another game similar to something I posted about earlier, i-e A Space for the Unbound, this one is a Philippine developer's take on what reads like almost exactly the same concept called Until Then.
