It benefits me because I get a free game lol. It also benefits me because they might sell off the rights to Splinter Cell to a better company who will actually put out new games.

It's not just a "made-up war". I've had both OG Black Flag AND it's remake since the last Splinter Cell. Fuck that, these guys can go. I'm not going to buy a game off fake good-will points and the hopes that a corporation will start doing better lmfao. That's legit senseless and naive.

Is this on PC or PS5 or what? The framerate and physics on the remake looks pretty bad...

Probably a matter of preference, but the overly saturated colors kinda make it look like a pixar cartoon or something.

That said, there are plenty of improvements too.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag is one of the best games I've ever played. Battling other ships at sea was my favorite part of the game. Catching up to them, disabling their sails, firing grapeshot, and boarding them. All of this is set against stunning graphics and an incredible atmosphere.

Combat look like the same shite counter to win heavy on fatality animations, kill multiple enemy at once with barely a chellenge tripe of the old games tbh.

It's gonna be more fluid but you can only polish a turd that much...

The pirate angle is the whole hook of this game, if you hate old ac and dont care about pirates, this one is not gonna change your mind most probably.

Someone said there's no RPG systems? I never played the original but what does that mean exactly? No skill tree and the like?

I like the rain in the original more. Also as many of us predicted the chase for realistic lightning left some dramatic effects behind that, like the shadows of the original engine, are better for the title. The industry will keep pushing forward in that retarded direction, tho.

Popular game. Considered the best on the franchise by plenty of people, that's why.

You can ask that about any remake. Mostly the answer is that the original didn't age well (enough).

AC where you one shot people by sticking a (hidden) blade in a targets neck. Why would I need a big emphasis on stats. Just makes it annoyingly grindy to get better shit so enemies do not become sponges.

True. But to me it's even going from a woman to looking like a girl going to prom. She's not filling out the bra so you see the angles of the fabric too much.
 
Combat looks terrible. Floaty animations, barely any feedback on hit and the usual "simon-says" shit with enemies emitting a bleep right before the attack to let you know that you have to press the dodge button. Pass.
