The worst thing about Days Gone was the script. Garvin is gone for good. Bend can still do the job, and I think Days Gone 2 is the only viable path for them after years lost on multiple failed projects.
 
Wolverine isn't a fan favorite for either men or (especially) women for being emasculated, it's because his super power is having one million times the testosterone.

A great opportunity to course correct and do something right that is painfully easy to get right. Here we are suspending our disbelief that they can even accomplish that.

The kind of gameplay trailer from Wolverine, that's what I would like to see from Intergalactic. It's ok for me.

Different times, it wasn't really like in your face about it so it felt natural, which is good.

But the very foundation of what makes Xmen is what many would consider to be "Woke" today. Multicultural team, Professor X being disabled, team members with mental disorders, Colossus being gay, etc.

Im just hoping and praying that its a beatiful and fun wolverine game without any woke and dei agenda push. I love wolverine comics of te 80's and 90's please dont dissapoint. By the way the presentor hopefully will not be the trans looking person.
 
This is the last chance I will give them before deciding whether or not to sell my PS5 Pro. Haven't been impressed with previous States of Play, so expectations are low, but I want to see what they have to show us.

No PS6. Maybe a tease of the handheld tho. The handheld would be seen as more of a complement to current PS5 on the market and less of a cannibalization on whatever PS5 hardware sales they're aiming for between now and PS6.



No, Xmen was never "woke". It was progressive, but there's a world's difference between the progressivism of the '60s - '90s (even '00s) and the woke-progressivism that started becoming super-popular in the mid-2010s.

The former didn't denigrate entire majority populations just to spread positivity for minority groups, didn't police language due to "micro-aggressions" (obvious stuff was rightfully condemned tho), didn't ignore context when the topic of language was addressed (i.e you weren't automatically called a homophobe by saying a boss killing you in a video game was "gay"), didn't do rampant race-swaps or gender-bending of established characters just to subvert expectations and divide fanbases, didn't actively antagonize fanbases who disliked changes to beloved IP by calling them istaphobes, etc.

There is a world of difference between the progressivism of stuff like X-Men from those decades (of which the vast majority could and did support, because it was natural and non-invasive/non-antagonistic) and the hardline "woke-progressivism" we've seen over the past 10-15 years in media. No room for conflation here.



Can't see anything with Capcom, but Bandai Namco is a possibility. Particularly if they are still sticking with the current publishing agreement for old PS games on other platforms. If not, then less likely because I can't see what Bandai Namco would get out of a deal otherwise.

Kadokawa is possible but it'd be super-recent, like "title card only" type of reveal for now. Don't expect anything ready for release until 2029-2030 in that case.

So, the rumor a few months ago was the "handheld" was not BC and its own device. Having *some* ps5 ports, but many ps4 and older ports. With also getting NS2/Xbox series S ports.

Again, all new software and purchases. Your old library doesn't transfer. Not BC.

Not sure if this is still true. But I do believe this is accurate.

I have to agree. A surprise Days gone 2 announcement would bring out some excitement from the western branch. Even if its years away.

Also, yes. Sony/Nishino should tap Garvin and tell him they got a gig. Same with the gameplay director, Jeff Ross. They had some gameplay ideas that didn't make it and were left on the cutting room floor, apparently.

Sony will not release a handheld that isn't backwards compatible with the PS5 as a bare minimum. It'll be suicide for the device if they require you to purchase your games again. Reliable leakers have not made any such claim.

I played the game and barely remember the story, but I do remember the acting and writing being bad. For me, that was the worst part of the game. Riding the bike and shooting zombies was great, though.

The only good part about the story was the relationship between those two. The rest was mediocre writing. I probably wrote better YGO fanfics when I was 12.

Some folks are just predisposed to accept whatever the gaming journalists feed them to think whenever the review storms come around. Played the game all the way through. It was a great ride. Got the platinum trophy too.

My only nitpick would be that Deacon talks too much to himself and break the immersion while in action. Its the usual "overly talkative character" trait that seems to burden modern Sony games.

just finished another attempted replay (i always make it as far as iron mike, & then bail not too long after), &, yeah, the script is indeed pretty awful. deacon is a deeply disturbed & disturbingly vicious guy, sarah comes off as a blinded by science type airhead, &, despite a few fevered-induced outbursts, it's boozer who's the one who comes across as the relatively clear-headed adult of the 3. i understand they were going for walking dead level 'constant state of stress/duress', but, jeez, it really starts to wear after a couple dozen hours...
