Disney, LucasFilm, EA and UbiSoft spend a fortune ensuring that no captivating Star Wars writing can see the light of day in a video game product. It's not small effort to hold all that back either. The filter they've created has a tab in the hundreds of millions range. But as you can see, it's almost impervious to anything resembling quality getting out. Jedi Outcast showed a flash and you saw how quickly they sprang into action to cover it with damp mildew blankets. UbiSoft had to contend with their best studio getting the gig, but in the end they pulled it off and prevented it from having a good story. But it was a close fucking call. Massive had a really good track record and plan for the game.
