Its ironic that you guys call IGN irrelevant yet make a topic about them. You're also really obsessed about them giving a low score to CD as if that guy who played it is completely wrong and your tastes are universal.
people have different tastes, get over it and stop glorifying reviewers

Which makes sense....they butchered CD like there is no tomorrow! Why should they list them under their "best reviewed games"...which btw seems to be all the other games which released this year. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The article says best games of 2026, some were not reviewed. They took that reviewed part out of the title.

Nevermind, it also says it had score an 8 or higher on their site under the headline.

And I'm having more fun with Pokemon red than with any of this modern crap. If I had to name one memorable game that released this year it'd only be Requiem.

People when IGN gives every hyped game a 9+/10
Sad Baby GIF

It's like a car accident. You can't look away, even when you know that it's wrong to look at..
I don't care about IGN, but i like it (a little bit..) to rant about them.
I mean in general and not limited to such lists.

The same with Jez Corden topics.
I could live happily without them, but i feel the need to read the bullshit.

Negativity attracts us. That is true.

What if the guy who wrote it just didn't like it

It's IGN. Seriously, who gives a shit? At this point, the most punchable craterface possible Dreamcast Guy probably has a stronger following.

Exactly, even games that I don't like or genres I don't play, I can tell if they're high quality.
There are many valid critiques of Crimson Desert. The review outlined them and IMO did so in a far way. The OT is full of discussion about these critiques. Whether or not the positives outweigh the negatives is totally subjective.

The idea that you fire someone because you paid them to review a game and they reviewed it is insane, if liking this one random game is a precondition to employment ata game site, how can that game sites reviews be taken seriously?

There was a time years ago where i agree with everything IGN put out- always aligned with me 90% of the time. Like a really long time ago.
These days- way off with me.

I wouldnt even let review someone a game from a genre where I know he/she doesnt like it. That makes absolute zero sense. Not saying this was the case here.

But me as a gamer I want to know how a game is doing compared to other similar games....you know...having some kind of comparability! I dont want to know if someone had a bad day when writing the review or how he "feels" about the game. Cant be that difficult. Check some of these "similar games" reviews and than let this game run against it and point out what this game does better and what worse....and than you should have a pretty good idea where to score it.

Minishoot looks cool but isn't that game from 2024?

Please some of you on this forum, continue to go into the Crimson Desert OT and try to tell everyone IGN and their ilk don't have an agenda against this game, it becomes more and more funny by the day.

This. A lot of people are bringing the fact that they're being fast addressing feedback, and that a lot of negatives have been changed or fixed and that the game is only getting better. The thing is, the game should've been released with all of those enhancements and fixes, there is no excuse.

It's about to ramp up in just a few weeks with Saros and Pragmata.

Everything is subjective guys, chill. Nothing and no one is accountable. There is no right or wrong anymore is all like ice cream flavors just tastes.
