The other day I watched three episodes of Future Boy Conan (directed by Hayao Miyazaki) because it was referenced in Eizouken. It's good :]

Just finished watching the newest season of Panty and Stocking. Is there any word on when we'll get the next season?

It's been a while since I actually watched an anime. Probably a couple years?

Anyway, I finally decided to watch Rebuild of Evangelion. Well, that was an experience for sure! I'm glad they went in a different direction than the OG series, they bait you into thinking this is mostly a remake but then they change things massively. I enjoyed the whole journey from start to finish, and much like the OG series I have no clue what is going on with the background lore... Not that it matters much, the show is mostly about the characters and their drama, everything else is just some cool background. The soundtrack was a banger, there are so many good tracks, they did a bang up job.

I liked the ending, you can see Anno is not chronically depressed anymore. Good on him, it was nice to see a different ending from what one would expect.

I'm not really keen on the new Evangelion written by Yoko Taro, this feels like the perfect conclusion to Evangelion. And it doesn't invalidate the OG series and EoE since it's a different continuity. Whether you like it or not in the end, this is a must watch for sure.

I love the Rebuild Eva Movies and I'm in the camp of loving the ending

Yes Shinji hooking up with that random girl is weird but kind of makes sense. I can see there being too much baggage between Shinji and Asuka for it to work if they got together. And I'm saying this as a Shinji/Asuka shipper

Since Yoko Taro is heavily involved in the New Eva, I'm much more optimistic about it turning out good

Have they confirmed if it's a show or movie. I'm hoping for 25 to 50 episode show. I love Eva

Finally caught up on my anime backlog. That empty feeling when you're done....
It was a fun journey though, looking forward to the next season!

Man, every new manga I like on the Mangaplus app ends up getting axed.
Was really enjoying Night Light Hounds.

im so happy the chainsaw man manga ended a few weeks ago..shit was trash after a certain point.

Part 2 in general was pretty bland.
I still love part 1 though, and it works well as a standalone story.

Baki Dou Part 2 got a trailer like 2 weeks ago. Should be "coming soon".

I can't wait, Part 1 was fun but left everything hanging and all's setup promising a lot of kino.

Just watched Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust, that was fucking sick even if it was some terrible bootleg nonsense. How is this not mainstream?

Sick ass animation but I think I enjoyed the first movie a little bit more.

In any case both are a mandatory watch, imo

Yeah it is brutal, at least some of them get an ending

Oh, someone recommended I watch that once, but I haven't got around to it yet :pie_open_mouth:. I didn't realize that's where the characters on the right side are from (left side is a character from Eizouken)
It's a chill slice of life, and every time I watch it I get the urge to buy a tent. Lots of the episodes have basic recipes for easy to make campsite meals which adds to my desire for the outdoors.

Oh cool, any idea which studio is making it? The battles would be insane
Meant to be CYGAMES the Uma Musume studio. We'll find out in the next 24 hours.

Personally think Kagurabachi got really bad once he focused so much on Samura. Paneling, artwork and story quality took a nose dive. Part 2 had a good start even though my most anticipated character is just "I make Sushi lol"

Been reading Gash Bell casually for like a month on and off. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I think it's eh. 100 chapters in right now.

Started reading Angel: Highschool Sexual Bad Boys and Girls Story by U-Jin.
I checked, and it seems it's not translated in entirety; actually most U-Jin's works aren't.
Luckily, anime adaptations are, so I will be watching those as well at some point.

I've started watching The Saga of Tanya the Evil, which was recommended in this thread. About half way through the first season. I'd call Tanya pragmatic and opportunistic, not evil.

It is really good. The alternative WWI history is interesting. The author obviously had a keen interest in military history. I am looking forward to watching the movie after finishing season 1.

I finally started Witch Hat Ateiler. I binged watched all five episodes back to back. This show is good that I don't want to wait for the next episode to air and am gonna to start reading the manga soon

I can't remember shit from S1 and movie. And believe me, in my life I watched Tanya twice, still couldn't remember shit about it. My advice is to rewatch it with S2 as soon as that is finished. Don't know about the others, but I have trouble remembering what happened in this anime, for some reason.

I remember there were a lot of explosions and the anime ended on a cliffhanger

other than a few good moments that can be counted on one hand, anything after the 'part 1' was just nonsensical.
But it was a direct sequel?

It doesn't works as a standalone story because Part 2 starts at chapter 92.

Watched jujutsu kaisen season 1. It's bit difficult to keep track of the concepts and exposition. I don't if the plot was good, but still for some reason i didn't mind watching it

Enjoyed the first few episodes of Kill Blue even though/a/ told me it was shit but now its turned into a stupid version of Revolutionary Girl Utena I don't know how to feel.

It turns out Gundam + GNR makes an excellent music video.

GNR was huge when I went to high school (late 1980's and early 1990's). The school radio would play this song every single day as the first song:
