Forza Horizon 6 - Prologue Gameplay

Literally FH5 with a new theme/paint. Nothing wrong, I'll play it but once it's complete (all dlc, cars etc)

Looks okay, lacking in style/atmosphere/purpose. Hard to get excited about the same thing all over again. Have they announced any meaningful new features?

It looks exactly the same as the last game.
TBH these prologue sequences have been the same shit since FH2. They're played out but the actual game progression promises to be much more traditional in structure ala the first game and the setting is less open dessert area which is welcome.

At least it's not as cringe as FH5's Spanglish with all that "Let's go Papito! Pendejo we are the numero 1 yiiihaa!" Guess not understanding Japanese helps.

But yea is it bad to hope the game flops so Playground could try to make something a bit more fresh?

Midtown Madness 4 would do

It looks excellent and has a higher level of detail than FH5.

The section where you're high up and the valley is shrouded in low-lying clouds is breathtaking.

They're in a league of their own visually.

Looks great visually, but man… these cars look incredibly dull to drive. That's the core issue with racing games — it's hard to truly capture the sensation of speed, the G-forces, and the raw thrill you feel behind the wheel in real life.

I can tell you firsthand, even a stock Nissan GT-R R35 is an absolutely exhilarating experience.

Developers really need to start pushing the envelope — experimenting with more dynamic camera work and innovative perspectives to better translate that real world intensity into gameplay.

Shift 2 was on the right track. Anyone remember that game?

Edit: Driveclub also had the right idea!

I do think they could tone up the G force/camera shake for those who like it, and have a toggle for those that loathe it.

Driveclub did capture that visceral speed sensation better than most racing games. at least with cars and not ships

Looks amazing. Intro is a bit more mild than previous games but it's all good.

What is the rocket launch about? Would have been cool when driving the Toyota, the rocket would lift off in the distance and light up the sky, but it sort of disappears after the reveal.

Sounds petty but not playing any new Forza or Horizon since they ruined the great audio from previous games (Forza 6 was last to have good car sounds, Horizon 3 onwards was shite).

And tbh it's just boring.

Audio sounds much better in this game compared with FH5. I do agree though WTF happened with Horizon 4? The car sounds were genuinely the worst in the series

Looks fun and very pretty. Knowing myself I'll probably be over it after 3 - 5 hours, which is a shame. I just get bored of only driving around with a race here and there.
I really do hope they get rid of the whole cringefestival someday.

Looks nice, definitely getting this when it comes to Ps5

At least it's not as cringe as FH5's Spanglish with all that "Let's go Papito! Pendejo we are the numero 1 yiiihaa!" Guess not understanding Japanese helps.

Racing fans discovering why JRPGs are better in Japanese.
It's not about "japan better", it's the that the cringe dialogue is more tolerable when you can't understand the spoken language.

Can't wait for this.
An actual timed exclusive I can get hyped for.

I wonder if there will be cross save this time? FH5 ON game pass couldn't transfer saves to FH5 steam.

I'm not getting another car racer until either Ridge Racer type 8 comes out or GT 8 on ps6.

Won't watch! Don't want to be spoiled, the intro race is always a cool setup piece.
Favorite racing IP at this point!

Shame they don't offer 40fps, that would be the sweet spot. I played 5 in performance mode because visually I didn't see a big difference with resolution/quality mode, so I guess we'll see with this one.

Man I hate when they push all those other things like that and force it down your throat. And you're talking to a foreigner here that speaks the language. Enjoyed the game but talk about trying too hard
