I did that aswell but my game doesn't look as vivid...that second pic gave me a small seizureHe used his phone to make pictures of his TV while playing
That's why they look more colourful

Did you just indirectly called my phone cheap? The phone model probably boost quality as well. I have a potato phone and the pictures dont look great tbh
I used the windows tool to calibrate my hdr but i didn't played with that slider,i thought it was for sdr content...isn't 50% the default value? On Windows 11, you can make any game look more colorful in HDR without using any reshade or mods. I just remembered it lol.
HDR calibration tool on the last screen allows to change color saturation, game like Crimson Desert looks amazing with it at 50%. I have two color profiles for it

Almost all games now are borderless so it should work with them.

Btw why do you say borderless? Does the color profile doesn't work in fullscreen?
Btw i'm playing the game in sdr, hdr in this game is broken or just meh on my end.
Why would i use a windows slider to make colors unnaturally more vivid instead of just doing something from the oled tv side tho?It should work with HDR and SDR content showed in HDR container (so for example desktop). Default is 0% and this is "creators intent", TBH not all games look good with oversaturated colors, but CD for sure is one of them.
Fullscreen in modern games is a scam, it's borderless but with a different name (and sometimes options to change refresh rate in game)![]()
Why would i use a windows slider to make colors unnaturally more vivid instead of just doing something from the oled tv side tho?
My tv has 2 game modes, an accurate one and a more gamey one with colder color temp and more vivid colors that is of course not as accurate, maybe i should try this mode for crimson...
I feel like you have so many ways to just amp the colors between nvidia sliders, windows sliders, tv sliders, reshade etc.
Some games have different problems\perfomances when switching from fullscreen to borderless so even if i already knew what you said, in some games these 2 modes are not interchangeable, are you saying that when fullscreen work, the hdr color profile doesn't kick in?
I used to think the same but a lot of my favorite moments this gen have come during those transition time of days. Especially when devs add volumetric effects and weather in the mix. For example, I did not like night time lighting in AC Shadows at all. But then they start adding fog, rain, wind, and other atmospheric effects that created some stunning visuals. Static time of day wouldnt have allowed for those permutations.I was never the biggest fan of dynamic TOD, I prefer AC Unity system with few good looking fixed TOD options (Second Son was also like that?).
Dragons Dogma 2 did this. It's unplayable. Crimson Desert tries to do it, but they dont go all the way with it like DD2 did. The moon acts like a sun on most nights. The sun comes up at like 3AM like we are on the north pole or something. They are just doing night time poorly. like you said, other games have done it well.Ugh, bad nighttime lighting is a plague on open world games. It almost always looks like shit. There's so few games that get it right.
I just wish devs would have some balls and make it actually fucking dark. I can't speak for CD (haven't played it), but most games just slap a blue filter on and call it a day.
Yes. Vivid mode is fucking killer for this game. How the fuck does his game look so colorfull? Is he playing in vivid mode

What a fraud this guy always was. Im glad i never fell for his shit. The fact that this fucking loser contributed to a good percentage of UE5 hate when it was one of the few engines that was actually trying to push next gen tech is devastating.

Absolutely. That guy can get fucked real hard in court if it ever got to that extent. The hardware tech conversations have been extremely toxic & radical in so many ways, it's really not fun to discuss them anymore with this type of animosity surrounding them. Tech illiteracy have soared incredibly high too.
Is it me or this one look sneakingly good for an AA?
I'm sorry but this is one of the best looking games of 2026. Its not like the highs are above other games highs. its that they are able to hold onto their highs while also being one of the biggest game of all time in size. Whats really amazing is the density and diversity of assets mingled together and all interacting like they were natural. usually when games are this game you end up with Death Stranding 2 where you just see an empty wasteland of the exact same asset. Like compare this video with Death stranding 2. Its literally night and day. Man established AAA studio have completely shat themselves this gen.
and for people saying UE5 could do this.
Not a chance in hell, and i'm a ue5 dev.
The amount of low resolution, stuttering it would take to do a world as big as CD and at the same density and fidelity is simply not possible in UE5 without a HUGE sacrifice in performance. even doing what CD is doing in a small level would lead to a huge sacrifice in performance.
Compared to this repetition of assets, no diversity, no density, doesn't look natural at all
While checking out some ReShade mods for Crimson Desert, I'm finally getting close to a visual presentation of my liking.
I'm using the MXAO shader to add some nice and cheap ambient occlusion, and by fiddling with qUINT_lightroom.fx, I transformed the cold bluish image into a warm, Mediterranean tone.
The question remains how other areas will look like with these settings... hmm.

edit: 'Nighttime' also looks more pleasing with these warm ReShade settings, IMO. The horrible green glowing grass is gone as well, yeah!:

So the new patch fixes pretty much everything. Dlaa at 4k flickering at the top of the screen is fixed. Dlss + ray reconstruction issues are fixed. I am not seeing as much pop in though it's still there when i just look at the ground. Overall it's a much cleaner looking game with ray reconstruction on, but the rt noise issues are still there. Thankfully they only impact interiors.
Still need to see if rain is as bad as before but the game definitely looks cleaner and sharper. I had a few battles at night in the last few story missions and it was hard to see anything due to the pixelation caused by some spirit effects.
Did anyone else here notice the dlss rr fixes?
I sincerely doubt w4 is going for a sandbox game with huge amount of physics and destruction experience.well, witcher 4 is trying to do this exact game. We will find out next year how close it comes to this level of ambition which I agree is unlike anything attempted so far this generation.
I do think that Ubisoft has created better looking open worlds that may not feel as lively, but Crimson Desert feels massive and dense in a way those games dont.
So this shit is still happening, it is disgustingly bad, it straight up almost ruin the combat for me.So the new patch fixes pretty much everything. I think he is jelous of our relationship, me and slimy are an open couple but he can get possessive at timesI know that you dont want to talk or interact with me for some reason but I am still in good faith going to recommend you this mod for the game to look right when raining, it removes the noise and low res issues under this weather condition
There is an option called Noise removal. It will fix it

I havent tried the new patch yet.

Their strong point is gonna be the narrative, they are not gonna drift away from what made w3 great to chase what crimson does, i dont think they are even capable of doing it if their past work is anything to go by.
I doubt you are gonna be able to do 1\20 of the things you can do with kliff.
The funny thing is that crimson also has elements of skyrim and witcher 3.For sure they won't go with sandbox route, and they don't need to - not all open world RPG games have to be similar.
Crimson Desert seems like a hybrid of Bethesda style RPG (sandbox, but it doesn't save positions of items) and RDR2 (life simulation).

What reshade are you using? Can you share your shaders?
They won't. Pearl Abyss had 10 years of trial and error with the mechanics in Black Desert, where they could release a patch with experimental mechanics and gather feedback. CDPR doesn't have that kind of background. They shouldn't be compared, it's not like they just wake up one morning and decide to create untested mechanics without a place to test them. It's not that they wouldn't be capable, but it's simply not their scope, and they don't have the time or space for it.I sincerely doubt w4 is going for a sandbox game with huge amount of physics and destruction experience.

Forget about train physics for a minute and see how much details one frame of CD has over RDR2. I'm really tired of people thinking that RDR2 looks much better than in reality, maybe in their imagination and memories...
It's a last looking game made with PS4/X1 in mind, and it looks exactly like that.
I doubt their city simulation is gonna be even close to gta6 if their past games are anything to go by.The Witcher 4 (on PC ofc) looks to represent a generational leap forward in graphics & animation beyond games this generation, yes even ahead of GTA 6 (only in pure graphical quality, not animations).
They're already working closely with Nvidia on pushing the graphics way beyond what we see today.
- Path Tracing for starters.
- They're already tapping into Neural Rendering tech, Mega Geometry is one of them.
- They already demonstrated double Motion Matching tech & very realistic fur rendering & physics.
- Uses UE5 latest version, we're already seeing demos with trillions of polygons using Nanite for everything including foliage!
- We may see an advanced form of DLSS 5 used for its environmental shading & lighting which will provide a huge boost to graphics fidelity.
It's insanely ambitious & I know it'll be unmatched for years! Let's hope all of this comes to fruition smoothly…

Bojji with dlss swapper now i have new versions for dlss, rr and framegen, vers 310.6, have you switched and noticed any difference?
Are you using rr profile E or D?I switched them for crimson desert.
And now I don't know if it's the new patch or DLSS files but I think lighting with cinematic and DLSS 4.5 (RR off) is definitely more stable now indoors.
New frame gen adds preset B, but so far DLSS swapper had not been updated to support it.
Are you using rr profile E or D?
And do you let crimson handle what profile to use for dlss or you are forcing something via apps?
In theory the game should already use K for dl4, M for 4.5 and there is a specific 4.5 L, right?
The only useful things to change seems the RR profile, initially they went D, then they Patched E, and then they returned to D because E was causing artifacts? is this the correct chronology of events?
Dude how can you play without RR? game look far worse without it...and believe me i tried native, dlaa and quality with RR off but they all look worse...
I guess you fixed some of that with reshade and mods...I don't mess with profiles in this game because it has all of them in menu (as you said), K, L, M...
After recent update they still use preset E for RR, so maybe they changes something about the game, it looks less noisy now.
I play with RR off because it's way to expensive combines with max lighting. It looks much worse but in the end - gameplay is the king I guess.
I guess you fixed some of that with reshade and mods...
What combo of dlss and settings are you using?
So dlss 4.5 quality is not disturbingly sharp in this game umm...Right now cinematic preset and DLSS 4.5 quality with 4k output.
No mods.
So dlss 4.5 quality is not too sharp in this game umm...
Framegen on i guess...
what gpu do you have? 5080 or 4070ti?Frame gen off, dlss 4.5 provides the best sharpness (better than RR 4.0).
I aim at 60fps output without any frame gen.
