Crimson Desert has sold through 4 million copies worldwide

Word of mouth is spreading. I'll guess from this point it will be 1 million per 3 weeks until GTA 6, which might stop CD's momentum like a giant brick wall.

Also I truly believe this game will be the dark horse RPG of this year, maybe not as many sales as Elden Ring and BG3 but it will have an impact that can't be ignored and it might anger some people when we reach award season (not just critics but casuals who want GTA to sweep).

Very effective for the hemorrhoids

Game is so sick. You really have to give these guys credit for just going for it. Nobody has ambition anymore and every new game I see fits into one of like 5 archetypes.

it's the boss, basically the studio
That's not quite how that works.

There are tons of studios with shitty bosses or a shitty board of directors but good developers underneath.

This would be like blaming all of Sony because Jim Ryan threw us into a Gaas-apocalypse.

Cool story Bob, do we need a thread for evetime this game hits another million? Should I make 21 Tears of the Kingdom threads?

Later today: IGNs 4th or 5th article on why you should dislike the game and how wrong you all are for enjoying it instead of the more profitable live service western garbage or their ideologically approved shit.

If Nintendo announced sales milestones 21 times for Totk then you can rest assured there would be 21 threads.

I haven't played it, but I always thought it looked really cool.

However, the opinions on this game are so divisive. Some are saying it's fantastic, others say it's absolutely trash with a shit story and side quests, input lag like crazy, some terrible graphical effects (pop-in does look terrible in vids, shadows flicker due to foliage rustling etc.)

I am of course assuming it's somewhere in between but where?

Well deserved. This game has an OVERWHELMING amount of content for the price you pay for it, and more elements are STILL being discovered. Well done to Pearl Abyss. Crimson Desert is a game that is MEANT to be explored and it opens up more and more, the more you play it. I'm 15 hours in and I have just been exploring everywhere. There is so much content in this game that it's baffling.

Western media campaign against this game reminds of their campaign against Stellar Blade and Wukong. Once they realize their opinions don't make a difference, then they will start to walk back. Now they talk how great Stellar Blade and Wukong are

Still haven't got around to it, but I'm glad there's a lot of people enjoying it and the sales are still going strong.

Maybe, just maybe we shouldn't listen to reviewers who forced themselves to play a game of this scale just to get their dog-shit review out for the clicks they need to make their pennies.

Agreed. Thing is with this game there's no way any reviewer was close to finishing the game. So to me they're all considered as half-baked reviews or 'progress so far'.

Hopefully this changes people's perception of reviews in general. Gotta think for yourself sometimes.

Funny thing is that there were like 6 IGN reviews from different countries reviewing this. At least IGN France gave it an 8/10.
