GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
I am perfectly content with never buying another AAA game. I have such a large backlog on Steam and PS. I'll manage.
That's really where I'm at. The price of the consoles isn't really the catch for me (I've already got a 5090 and a Pro), it's the value for the price. This PlayStation generation has been the most underwhelming one I've ever experienced. If they hadn't gotten me at launch with Demon's Souls, I could've easily made it several more years before upgrading. Shit, cross-gen games only really stopped about a year or so ago.I am perfectly content with never buying another AAA game. I have such a large backlog on Steam and PS. I'll manage.
I bought both the Cinco and the SX at launch. I could have easily waited. If it's like this gen I can sit out the first year or even two.

Misread title. I meant to say I'm buying a PS6 at launch most likely.
I'm not trying to be crass in saying this, but the way I see it is that if you have to worry about $1k breaking the bank for a game console that will last 2-3 years then you've got a LOT BIGGER problems in life to worry about.No. I'm not a broke boy. I make good money teaching piano, I've got rental income and dividends from bank shares.
I have really no idea... I have a PS5 Pro, so it should be OK even when a PS6 gets released...
But then it is a question of the price (the new price increases for the PS5 are crazy) and if I get into the hype of the new devices like at the PS5 launch...
I am very happy with the PS5 Pro hardware and I do not really see what they can really improve on it beside making it a bit faster. The PS5 is silent, the controller is great, the patched PSSR2 looks great, most games look more then "good enough" with 60fps...
Not sure what really will be the "buy me" factor of the PS6 beside the games looking slightly better or frame generation boosts 60fps games higher...
