I was literally about to run myself a bath.

No Cerny voice in this video..

On the other hand, John seems very pleased:

I initially tested the PS5 Pro version again, but this time with retail code, and, what a difference, the PSSR2 makes. Like, it's genuinely shocking.
It looks so much better. I actually think the Balanced PSS2 mode looks better than the native 4K mode now. Like, it's just really clean comparatively. Very very sharp. So PSSR2 was indeed a big improvement over PSSR1, as you'd hope.

So they are forcing PSSR2 in those games no matter the toggle settings? That would explain why i didn't saw any difference in SH2 or at least, horrible artifacts with PSSR1).

I love how two of them were trying so hard to be offended by the term "Eurojank" and discreetly trying to call out the guy who said it.

They are talking if there will be any further update during this year? Guess no

Cerny said, no releases planned this year (when it comes to Amethyst stuff).

And they don't plan to use that PSSR switch to update to newer PSSR versions (than 2.0), that will be available to developers.

He said no major update as frame generation I guess, it's quite a different matter...

I think he meant Amethyst in general, but I could be wrong.
I don't think Amethyst is exactly the same thing but leave the whole pssr2 stuck to this version sound bizzare even the enhanced ps4 games was refined compared to the launch. I really really hope won't abandon everything because the ps6 is expected next year, would be really a dickhead move.

Next year they will talk mostly about PS6 I think, that's their biggest thing for 2027. They will possibly announce Frame Gen and Ray Regeneration for PS6.

I think Pro owners shouldn't be that upset, PSSR2 will still deliver strong results in games even after PS6 launches.

Thought I would like if someone asked straightly to him if they will continue to support/refine the games with the PSSR2 toggle option at least until the end of this year.

The Enhance feature is only meant for PSSR 1 titles so I'm ok with that and as far as future PSSR updates he implies more recent/future Pro games could have updated network parameters I'm assuming that's upgrades to their ML libraries. Like he said it's early days with their ML libraries and the strategy will evolve.

Why did they even bother with a Series S performance mode in Crimson Desert? Just do a 30 FPS mode and call it a day.
