Afroman. The myth, the legend

Mistake

Member
So this dude had a bad police raid happen on his house in 2022 when an "informant" told them he was trafficking drugs and kidnapping girls to his basement. They stole about 5k and he's been dealing with it since, and by dealing with it I mean relentlessly mocking the cops with his greatest hits as they sue him for defamation. We got things like
"Lemon Pound Cake"

or "Randy Walters is a son of a bitch." The song was such a banger it caused Randy to doubt his marriage

Then there was "Lick em low Lisa" (Nsfw)

The court liked it so much they played the entire thing just for her!

Closing statements were fierce

In the end however, the jury ruled in favor of Afroman

I like how when these one-hit-wonder figures re-emerge years later for one reason or another, they're usually living pretty normal lives. Meanwhile, Afroman is still living the gimmick. Godspeed, you mad bastard.

Now, now don't forget he was a two hit wonder.

Language is a weird thing. The sentence "Afroman has been Milkshake Duck-ed" shouldn't convey anything to my brain. And yet.

To be fair to me security are more to blame for that than him. After events like Dimebag it is hard to fault a music artist for having a knee jerk reaction like that to a fan getting on stage and sneaking up behind them and if it were a guy there probably would have been less outrage. The cringe was more for my bad joke :messenger_hushed:

Afroman has a lot of content about my AO and he's still really big around the southern US, lol. Especially the mid south.

Crooked letter crooked letter hump back hump back Afroman da bomb, bump that. Honestly, it is hard not to love this man. That goes for his music or his personality. He's a national treasure.

Edit: OMG the above gif, lol. Is that AI? Is there context?

He may be a one hit wonder but that doesn't necessarily mean the rest of his songs are bad. I know I know, but this one is special.

I didn't even mean one hit wonder in a bad way. Just that a lot of people who have a hit like that end up just working regular jobs and living a normal life. Good on him for still having fun with things.

It's real.

The gif cut out the best part of the boyfriend or whoever he was jumping up on the stage looking all pissed but one look from Afroman and his hands were up :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Anyway, he got arrested after his set and she got a concussion and a $65k settlement. To this day people are trying to find the security.

But of course he got a song out of that too :messenger_astonished: :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The only thing I will ever know him for, outside of this... is his involvement with the soundtrack for Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back...

This has been hilarious. The deposition videos are soooo funny 😂

The only thing I don't understand is how some of those cops were suing for defamation of some of the songs when they only just released like a week or two ago? Or had they released publicly before that, and then were taken down or something?

In the Licc 'em Lisa music video, there's a clip of Lisa talking about the song, so it must have come out a while back, right? But I can't find any evidence on the internet of that.

It might be that she appears to be talking about the song Licc'em Low Lisa, but is actually talking about another song:

The court also played Afroman's 2022 music video "Why You Disconnecting My Video Camera," where he raps "Lieutenant Licc'em Low Lisa ate my ex-wife just like pizza" as home security footage seems to show Lisa walking through his house during the raid.
I recommend the article at the below link, there's some extra details for people (like me) who'd know nothing about Afroman's recent work if it wasn't for the efforts of the police to have it taken down.

Ah okay, that makes sense for the Lisa song. But then what about the Randy Walters one they talked about in court? That one only came out a few days ago, but it was part of Randy's suit that Afroman stated he had sex with his wife.

I'm just trying to understand the order of events lol.

My first experience with Afroman was when I was in Austria and he was on their MTV rolling joints talking about his song. Then I never heard another thing about him until they raided his house and tried to violate his civil rights. I am glad to see the terrible police were exposed for corruption and publicly humiliated. Suing him was a terrible idea.
