Crimson Deserts Specs for PC & Consoles revealed

Keep in mind guys, pc ultra specs are not maxed, there is still preset above ultra, DF confirmed that.
Console wise i think ps5pr0 balanced aka 40fps mode will likely be most optimal way to play, provided its stable 40fps, not "target 40" where it dips to 30 in any heavier scenario.

And rip series S with its soap mode of 720p 40fps no rt or 1080p30 no rt either, trully a peasant way to play, no wonder xbox series owners stopped buying games for the most part :messenger_astonished:

4K@60 with RayTracing on AlderLake and an RTX 4080?
Maybe I can even mash in DLAA.............

Bespoke Engines for the frikken WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

PS5 Pro version looks like a massive win over standard version.

Both PSSR2 and upgraded RT hardware are doing the hard work here.

PS5 pro aging like wine right now ;)

No ML hardware/support on base consoles makes them age like yogurt.

I think it's a big mistake on MS side that they didn't bother to utilize supposedly 50 TOPS ML processing power of XSX.

There were rumors that tried to do something but gave up?

I think even some basic support for XeSS would really help SX here. But I guess they stopped giving a fuck long time ago...

I mean even Steam deck can make use of the INT8 FSR4, I'm sure they could've come up with something if they tried.

How about a lite version of FSR4 like they do the lite DLSS on Switch 2?

The gap between base PS5 vs PS5 PRO is so HUGE that it sounds almost unreal.

So in the Quality mode, PS5 PRO is running the game at more than DOUBLE the resolution (native 4K vs 1440P) with higher RT setting.

How is this even possible? I thought the PRO only had about 45% more rendering power (in actual games only about 20~30%)

Sounds like the game is awfully underutilized on the base systems.

You read the PS5 Pro specs wrong, that's why

It's 45% faster in raster, BUT RT is 2x-3x better than base model AND you have ML upscaling that is not possibile on the base console

If you add up these 3 factors together, the difference is much higher than the raster metric alone

Because despite what GAF haters would have you believe, the PS5 Pro is a very nice piece of kit.

PC users, don't forget that Ultra aren't the highest settings.
They've always showcased the game with Ultra Settings (included all the recent previews), but there's a "cinematic" setting after that.

And in recent previews, global illumination was set on "High". So there's room for Ultra and Cinematic, so I expect even better graphics at launch. It's pretty reassuring that the game runs at 4K60 without DLSS or framegen, with only a 9070XT.

Its really not. The game just extremely optimized.
except it is. fantastic console overall and PSSR2 update is a big improvement

outside of a few outliers that ran poorly on launch, there isn't a better experience out there for the price tag.

Noice, I am very close to that ultra bracket (4070ti Super is like 5-10% slower than a 5070ti), but I only have a 1440p ultra wide monitor. I already expected it, but the game should fly on my PC with DLSSQ.

However I am still willing to cap to 40fps if the "cinematic" settings eliminate the LOD pop-in and the game still feels decent to play!

This also makes me curious about Apple Silicon performance. I may try this out on my M3 Pro MBP.

Both the PS5 and Series X launched in 2020 for $399 (PS5). At that price point, it's honestly hard to complain about the performance they've delivered—and are still delivering. People like to criticize this generation, but the truth is that both Sony and Microsoft released excellent machines, aside from the Series S.

PC for me this time round, my 5070Ti will make this look glorious.

Also seems like it might be possible to get it running on the Steam Deck with very low settings. With lossless scaling I think it'll be playable!

I wish! But I'm sure there will be little details, like static NPCs, that keep it from being a perfect 10 for me, probably landing around a 9/10 at best.
Let them be static if they want to be lol.

Good combat with a high sky-ceiling.
Lots of exploration with meaningful rewards.
Challenging puzzles in fucking 2026.
