I don't rely on social media opinions to form my views. I prefer to judge things for myself based on what I see and hear. In my opinion, the game does show some elements that feel woke even if it's not as egregious as other games
One of the main points for me is the protagonist. She's portrayed with a very strong, assertive attitude, and at times it feels like the male characters around her are written to appear weak by comparison. That dynamic stands out a lot throughout the game. We have seen the same pattern with other woke games
I also question the historical realism. A female samurai single handedly defeating large numbers of men in that time period doesn't feel especially believable to me. I don't have any issue with women as main characters, that's not the problem. My concern is more about how the character is framed and whether it fits the setting in a convincing way.
Saying there are absolutely no woke elements at all seems dismissive. Even if people disagree, I think it's reasonable to acknowledge that some aspects of the game can be interpreted this way
