What is, that the game is failing as predicted? Otherwise it wouldn't have such a massive drop off. Most streamers are not liking it and lets be real here, in 5 days they not gonna fix shit. This is how the game is going to release and at $40, it will join the Concorde and Highguard graveyard, deservedly so.

Its cool as fans, that theres like only 5 of you replying to this thread but if you look at factual evidence, this game is going down fast and most people have no interest in it. Last time i checked, if no people, live service dies instantly.

Not to mention they were giving out a ton of free game codes to randoms to artificially populate the space lol. Desperation at its finest.

I wasn't a fan of LMGs, but every weapon mod I found was LMG specific, so I learned to embrace them lol.

Is Marathon untouchable from criticism? Plenty of games here got criticized, Marathon gets no pass if its a sorry excuse to take people's money for minimum effort. Produce a quality product like RE9 and you will have more fans than haters.

Nah I just can't launch the game at all not sure if its due to my ancient hardware or maybe some bug. There's more people complaining about it on the bungie forums.

The legendary i7 2600K (overclocked) yeah its old as shit. But from my understanding and after reading the forums a bit more, there seems to be people with CPU's that should run the game having the same issue so maybe that's not the problem at all.

Yea it's not that bad. The only one I agree with is that some of the fonts need to go and make them more uniform. Other than that it's pretty easy to navigate once you put in a few hours.

What you wrote isnt criticism, its just a drive by flaming post. That's why people have issues with it. Its justified to hate Marathon but give actual reasons other than because streamers dont play it. Maybe explain which part of Marathon do you feel is Bungie's attempt at stealing people's money with minimum effort.

Played a few games.
Honestly, the gameplay feels good and I like the unique art style (yes, even the menus), but I just find extraction shooters incredibly boring.
I also feel like the TTK is too fast. Waking around collecting shit for 10 minutes and then getting killed in a quick firefight just isn't fun for me. If you get caught by surprise it also feels like you get no time to even react.

Playing this just made me wish we'd get a Halo style game from Bungie with a cool campaign and a straightforward pvp multiplier. Not that I think that would be particularly success, it's just what I'd personally like

What kind of specs do you have for your PC? I'm AMD with a 5700X3D CPU and a 7800XT GPU, I capped my frame rate to 120, seems I was fluctuating between 125 and 150 at times at 1440p.

Unlocked the next level, Outpost, but not available in Beta. Took about 10-12hrs for me. I wish that it was available immediately. Videos of it look amazing. It was the best received map of the playtests too. All maps should be available to play at night. Fits so well with the universe


Between that and the end game level being a "Raid-like" and is supposedly very unique within the extraction genre. Sounds promising

The game defaults to dlaa I believe, change to performance mode or balanced dlss in the settings on pc. The cog on the bottom right.

That has been the overwhelming criticism about this game.... I don't think it's a big deal. People get used to different design languages after all. The real issue is that they feel too much and there is too little meaningful info, or that they are not efficient enough.

I also think the world map displays too little information. It could be interesting if the game starts with fog of war and every time you "recon" the more information displays, like the actual layout of the buildings and the items within it - when you zoom in-. (before deploying) in this way you could plan accordingly, creates a better sensation of "infiltration"... More strategy.

There is a difference between disliking a game and having meaningful discussion about it, and whatever the fucking Chorizo over here is doing where he just driveway posts tweets and then when somebody calls him out for doing it for the 200th time he just says but I played the game and you guys don't care. Very few of his posts have anything meaningful to them or provide anything to discussion and all are negative. I'm not saying you can only say good things about something but if you really don't have anything at all constructive and you really are just going to shit on a game 24/7 then why are you spending so much time finding all these tweets just to post in a thread when you know it annoys people? But I tried it, the sense of mystery is exactly what has been missing from D2 for years now, the PVE is actually challenging and it feels like a high stakes D2 Patrol minus hogging the loot and gear. It feels like an evolution of the Destiny formula in a sense. And if they actually keep the promise of raid maps evolving over time when runners solve puzzles ala D2 dungeons/raids, this could turn out to be something really special.
