Some of these options are clearly biased.

For example, you could replace the "Achievements are stupid" with an already existing opposite term "trophy whore" who plays even shitty unfun stuff just for the achievements and trophies.

Personally for me:

1. The woke/anti-woke.
They would rather discuss politics than games and they are of the same breed and similarly annoying.

2. I don't play single/multi player gamer
We get it, so why the heck are you here discussing it? Go play games the type of games you like.

3. Graphics whore
"I can't play this game, it's lacking puddles" fuck off.

4. The gooner
I get it, I like hot girls. But not every game needs hot girls that are basically sex dolls masquerading as human being. The opposite is equally annoying with games having extremely ugly characters that are most likely the devs poorly disguised fetish.

5. I can't play the game if it isn't 120fps+
I do somewhat get this. Unstable fps can literally cause a migraine. In that aspect I agree. But if a game isn't a perfect 120fps+ doesn't mean the game is bad or that the entire discussion for it should boil down to that.

I submit the

"TOXIC POSITIVITY GAMER"

The dude that virtue signals about everything, claims to not be bothered by forced diversity, LGBT everything, thinks exclusives are bad, pretends to care about developers jobs… but basically just inserts a fake liberal opinion into everything

Exclusives can easily be a bad thing. Imagine all games being exclusives to Switch now under all its limitations. 🤷‍♂️

DIdn't see the defnition "Every Game is Political". That category should include the other side of the coin to include the crowd who cry "woke" anytime a game has a female protagonist or a person of color.

98% of PS5 games have a 60fps mode. The companies have all the data on what gamers choose and it's obvious they choose 60fps. It's a settled issue. Gamers have clearly stated their preference and devs have accomodated.

Yes the "erm akshully it hits 59.7fps for .12 frames if you swing the camera next to a bunch of smoke right here" people are annoying but that's not what we are talking about.
I was not talking about that category either.

For me, all those who only engage with evergreen products- Fortnite, Roblox, Madden, CoD, NBA 2k, GTA5, but then ignore the cornucopia of everything else that exists.

I'm not going to go so far as to say they aren't gamers, as that's a bullshit comment to make. And I like a lot of those products as well. But for fucksake- try playing something else- there's a whole industry out there of great things to play- whether your jam is sports, online games, open world, cozy games, and everything in-between. The big things is I truly believe I'm describing the vast majority gamers under a certain age- maybe 20-25ish, and it's a large part of why the industry is in a bit of crisis now.

So, is it annoying to complain about a game not having something that is in 98% of games?

I mean, complaining is annoying in general but this is a totally standard and expected feature these days.

For some people, yes.

Like i said, i have no horse on this race, i don't find 60 fps elitist that annoying, i build a pc to play always at at least 60 fps so i can be considered a 60 fps elitist myself, except i pay premium to have always the certainty of 60 fps without resolution or details drawbacks so i don't have to hope that developers are capable.

Oh also they aren't the most annoying but one that isn't mentioned IMO is the
"Unrealistic expectations gamers"

Which I'd describe as a sub category of the "modern games suck" gamers, but rather than being fueled by nostalgia they find everything disappointing and bad because it doesn't live up to their crazy expectations. They want games to be made in 2-3 years, but they also need to be at least 40 hours long, no more than $60, need to have crazy high production values with "next gen" graphics while also running at 60fps and high resolutions on a base Ps5 or low end PC

The "gamer" that brings up sales all the time to defend their dust collecting console they haven't touched in a almost a year

I can't say it's the most annoying (it irritates me but, it's their opinion and it's how they feel) but it surprises me how much pushback there has been on remakes. From smaller scale remakes like Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, to bigger ones like Remake 4 and Silent Hill 2 Remake to the more bold Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy series, I've been blown away by the quality of these games. I like the remake trend. We're still getting a flood of sequels that aren't remakes and new IP so I don't feel like that area of gaming is suffering.

The kind of gamer who only pretends to be a gamer while running a multi-billion dollar corporation's gaming division.

You are also forgetting the Gatekeeper Gamer. The one that acts like you have to be hardcore to be called a gamer.

You run into them on MMOs and Souls games.

There's like 1000 things I could have added. That's why we have comments and I've added a few. I feel like the trophy whore guy isn't really as big as the guy that comes into threads or posts somewhere about how stupid trophies are. Those are a 200:1 ratio.

Just to be forward, that statistic is made up.

Missing the 'this should have been third person' gamer.
Category would have been a slashy but I have never seen the opposite where someone will refuse to play a game because it's in third person.

Trophy whores are pretty common.

Most surprising to me was seeing a ton of people who never cared about retro gaming and emulators, finally deciding to get into them only because of Retroachievements becoming a thing. When it was launched i thought it would be a pretty niche sub-category of people in the retro community caring but all the time i see so many requesting Retroachievements support to every single emulator. You see more requests about that compared to actual useful features like VRR support, run ahead, etc, which is the main reason i hate it.

The BIASED gamer, every other console, handheld, or PC setup is trash if it's not the one they own. Facts don't matter. Great first-party games don't matter. If they don't own the system, they'll downplay it, dismiss it, or pretend it's irrelevant. Every flaw in their platform gets a carefully crafted excuse, while every flaw elsewhere is treated like a fatal defect. Even if their system were discontinued, the company shut down, and the CEO sent to prison for life, they'd still argue it was the greatest platform ever made and that everyone else just "doesn't get it."

The "40+ year old that only plays Nintendo games that no one wants to be around"

The adult Nintendo die hard. Like the Disney adults of the gaming sphere.
^these are the "insecure" gamer, who probably just hit 21 and can drink, and they are desperate to show the world how grown up they are.

Imagine thinking PS and XB games are for "real adults" when anyone can get on PSN or XBL and hear a very large majority of people in parties are screaming and singing five year olds in games like Destiny and Call of Duty.

1) The ones who find any tiny, miniscule reason not to play a video game (even a simple as seeing a specific color or font), but will then spend their time joining every single discussion about said game anyway to share opinions they've heard from their favorite streamer or youtuber.

2) The ones who will downplay and go out of their way to find the negatives about nearly every single new game preview (especially during conferences), but then won't offer any alternative games/experiences to check out in exchange (and will usually go radio silent when asked).

Both of the two I've listed can connect sometimes, and I consider them both to be gaming's version of "energy vampires".
