The "Photo Realistic Only" Gamer
This is the gamer who will typically say things like "I don't play Fortnite; it's too cartoony". Or they'll enjoy The Order: 1886 over a Gears of War simply because The Order looks more realistic. They tend to hate Nintendo because of the cartoony look of their games. Their favorite games will need to be ultra realistic looking, even if they run at 5 fps on a top tier system.
The "Frame Rate Better Be Stable and over 60" Gamer
These gamers will let you know how crap a game is because it might dip to 59.6fps in a DF video. They will use terms like "unplayable" to talk about a game that's 30fps, and will eventually morph into 60fps is unplayable once they try more 120fps games. They will turn off settings that make the game run 1fps better but looks like a dog turd. Their favorite games are action games, even if they're generic, and games that have an FPS counter and benchmark tool.
The "Gameplay Is King" Gamer
This isn't the gamer that just enjoys good gameplay. This is the kind of gamer that would prefer Zork with no graphics as long as it had deep gameplay mechanics. They fail at understanding these are "video" games, and often will just play the most atrocious looking games because they might let you do something normal people wouldn't care about in a game. Or because the rules are so complex, they feel superior because they get the gameplay and you don't.
The "I Can't Use This Controller" Gamer
These gamers are sometimes fanboys, but other times they're just stupid gamers who have little brainpower to understand how to hold something using their own two hands. This type of gamer will look at the N64 controller and have no clue how to hold it. They will overly pretend they just can't figure it out, like a phone from the 20th century, because they like being stupid. These types also will hold a rival consoles controller and make statements that their thumbs are touching, or the controller is too big. Or this will extend to a mouse/keyboard and they'll say there's too many buttons.
The "All Modern Games Suck" Gamer
This is the gamer that pretends every single modern game, especially AAA games, are all garbage and they'll pull out their microscope to find a thing that's bad in the game or just meh. They usually play older games that have aged horribly and make that the gold standard. Their favorite games include games that have 2 buttons, or are just difficult because that's how some old games kept you glued to their system. They ignore their favorite relic's issue because "bro, it was made in the 80s/90s. Of course it's missing a lot of QoL!". They think every games too easy and complain that FromSoftware games are too difficult.
The "I Don't Waste Time Playing Single/Multi Player" Gamer
A more rare gamer, but they don't touch anything that isn't 100% single player or 100% multiplayer. If it's a perfectly fine single player game, but they added a multiplayer element, they'll find a reason to hate on the game and claim that the dev costs could be used to add more to the perfectly fine single player game. Even a game like Dragon Age Origins, they praise how the game doesn't have co-op like other DND type games because it would somehow ruin the story. Then there's the gamer that hates single player games and won't touch them loves to tell you how they hate single player games and they only like playing games with their buds. Yet, their buds are never playing with them anytime you talk to them.
The "Achievements/Trophies Are Stupid" Gamer
These gamers are especially stupid creatures as they care about strangers liking achievements or trophies, and they claim it ruins a game somehow when you can just turn all of this stuff off in every game. They will typically be the kind that join a discussion about achievements and trophies to tell you how they don't like them and they're a waste of time. They're one of the most vocal of the annoying gamer because they lurk in the shadows, waiting for a thread, only to pop out and all caps a "ACHIEVEMENTS ARE A WASTE OF TIME" in the most pretentious way they can.
The "I Can't Goon To This" Gamer
These really popped up after Gamer Gate happened and they're a form of the "woke" crowd. They typically complain about every female character not looking super hot the entire time. They only play games to look at the chicks they play as. They'll pick the worst character in a fighting game as long as she's hot. They will join discussions to tell you how they are boycotting a game because the female character in a game isn't attractive enough or posing sexy enough. They will tell you how modern MK games don't have enough fappable clothing choices, as if they old games did. Their favorite game is usually Dragon's Crown and they usually sub to a few OF.
The "Every Game Is Political" Gamer
This gamer will find a way to make every single game political. They usually suffer from severe depression and only like really basic gameplay games that don't have much going for it other than talking about depression or calling out someone. They love to tell you how you "missed the point" of a game that you enjoy if you aren't hyper aligned with their game. They don't typically understand that people can enjoy things they don't align with. Their favorite games are walking simulators, but they also never finish games. They almost just seem like they became gamers to talk to gamers about politics.
The "Streamer Slop" Gamer
These gamers only play what their favorite streamer is playing. If it's not some $5 physics game or jump scare game, they don't want any part of it. Recommending anything of any quality won't matter unless their streamer recommends it. They typically will be the ones that pay real money for shout outs in the live channels of streamers.
The "It's Too Mainstream" Gamer
These gamers are just hipsters. They will be the type of gamer that will tell you in the most demeaning way that you're an idiot if you're exited for Grand Theft Auto 6. They will find some nu-retro game that no ones heard of and let you know why that's well worth $40 because the 1 hour of enjoyment was amazing, but 100s of hours in GTA is not worth $60. They are usually talking up some obscure game with more words than the game has code. But if that game gets popular, they move on and let you know that the game is trash or that they played it before it blew up. They'll play a clone version of a game that's popular and tell you why this one is somehow better.
The "Collector" Gamer
These collectors typically only play Super Mario World but never to completion. They suffer from having too many choices of games, but their hobby is only having a game room. They will buy every physical game and never touch them. How do you know? Because they'll tell you that the game is still sealed. They brag about having 5000 games on Steam, but they have only put in 200 hours total in 10 years. I don't even know if these types are gamers.
The "Master Race / Console Warrior" Gamer
The "I will only play that on X system" gamer. We all know them. I'm not defining this. Figure it out.
The "eGirl" Gamer
Hardly a gamer and more of an ad for their OF page, eGirl gamers just have their big melons hanging out while they play some streamer slop. They're different from the normal streamer because they have a tendency to get caught cheating in multiplayer games using wall hacks. They make the most money and dress up as characters in games they've never really played before.
The "I Bought That Skin" Gamer
These are the ones that love multiplayer games so they can show off their skins. They buy every single skin in the game or ecard for sports games. They have bad addictions and should get help immediately. They will usually play every season of games with limited edition skins.

The "New and Shiny" Gamer
They love everything that's new and popular, and they never form their own opinions. They typically live on IGN's every word and obsess over metacritic scores. If IGN said it's good, they're going to praise it. If IGN said it sucks, they won't even give it a shot.
