New Crimson Desert exclusive gameplay January 25th, 2026

Man what a weird feeling I have with this game. On one hand it's an open-world fantasy adventure which should be right up my jam, but on the other the interiors look ugly as fuck

And this is why game studios will invest in graphics and take longer and longer.

People say they dont care about grahics. But then complain when it looks like this, or call something PS2 graphics when its not great.

My bad they played on pc not ps5. It looked very low res (he thought 480p) and rough and blurry and you could see the upscaling artifacts everywhere.

That's weird. All of the footage shown since reveal doesn't showcase the game in any way. Maybe some upscaling? Not sure.

I want to play this on the Pro. I hope it at least hits 60 fps

It was also mentioned in the podcast that it ran very smoothly. Perhaps they wanted to achieve 120 fps or more, which is why they opted for the low resolution.

Lol you can pick up any animals apparently, the part with the pig reminded me of that re4r video with fat ashley...

Lmao

the non locking fights are pulling me away. I undestrand that there are going to be a lot of enemies on screen but free camera fights are messy. i would like to try a demo to know how it feels.

Pretty sure you have a lock on so you decide if you want to lock or not.

Not 100% sure tho.

From google:

Yes, Crimson Desert features a lock-on camera system for combat, which was added and refined based on player feedback, particularly for handling challenging boss fights. The system allows players to lock onto specific enemies, similar to mechanics in games like the Batman: Arkham series, facilitating easier target management during intense encounters.

Well thats cool if true. All gameplay shown was free camera combat.

i have a fear that this will look like ass on consoles with inconsistent frames

i love the amount of debris that flies up on each impact during combat, hope thats not nerfed on console

This is literally an MMORPG for solo players. I love that the outfits we've seen so far are all individual pieces and they can be colored as well and you have to grind for colors. This alone would be worth my money as this is what I am playing Guild Wars 2 for (collecting armors and dyes).

Housing, managing your own camp, cooking, sending people on missions to gather resources for you and keep the areas safe...

I love what I'm seeing in this video and I am looking forward to the arbitrary reasons game bloggers come up with to dock it points left and right. lmao

This Game is creating a lot of hype...if it meets expectations we are witnessing the birth of a new IP on the level of Witcher, Elders Scrolls.

The Game's name is just a part of the continent, we could have new Games of each area in the future similar to Elders Scrolls.

This Game's scope is huge looks like the soon of GTA and The Witcher.

Guy calling the game "generic" can't think of anything except "slop" to say about it, the most generic term of the past year. Nah I'm sure your opinion is valid.
Ngl i would like to play another generic game with generic robotic pterodactyls that you fight in the air like crimson dessert

I don't think the developers are as incompetent as CD Projekt Red.(Cyberpunk PS4 Version)But I'll still wait for performance reviews and tests of the console version.

It's fishy that only the PC version is being shown.

Still not as excited as I should be. Mainly for the reason that I played Black Desert for a while and while the combat was fantastic and the graphics phenomenal for it's time, the story,, questdesgin and writing in general was abysmal. I kinda get the feeling it will be the same with this game. But I hope I'm wrong

agreed: this game is indeed creating a lot of hype...

I hope its not too grindy and mmo-ish.

Man this keeps looking fantastic. I'm sure there's going to be some jank, but this looks like something you can easily get lost in for months.
Not long now until Red Wild: Breath of the Redemption
Whether it ends up working or not I can respect that the Creative Director basically just sat in a room saying this whenever his staff queued up to suggest gameplay mechanics

It almost looks too good to be true. Then again, I just learned about its' existence last week and it's coming out this month, so maybe I'm just in shock.
