Ghost Trick Phantom Detective

Loving it so far!

I played the Phoenix Wright trilogy on DS and this came recommended to me.

Not sure what to play after this though. I'd love more mystery games. Maybe another Attorney trilogy or I'm up for suggestions.

I love good mystery games!
Ghost Trick is awesome, hope you continue to enjoy!

Backlog, recently completed the Last of Us Part II (after replaying part 1 + DLC again.) And now replaying Red Dead Redemption 2.

As far as new releases go...

4PGP
Apex Rush
Carmageddon: Rogue Shift
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined
Gear.Club Unlimited 3
High on Life 2
KILLER INN
Mario Tennis Fever
RIDE 6
Under the Island
Ys X: Proud Nordics

Probably more that I'm forgetting or will randomly come up. Holding off on Yakuza for now since I recently finished Yakuza 3.

If the reviews are good: Romeo is a Dead Man and RE9.

Yesterday, which is February, I completed Metro Exodus. Moving on to Stalker 2 which I started before, but with these kind of games I end up fucking around instead of doing missions/quests. Same goes for Skyrim that I always launch every now and then. Maybe I ought to actually move towards completing the games.

Finishing Hogwart's Legacy, I estimate main quest only takes 15-20hrs, which is a great length.
Then need to finish Oblivion (only going for faction quests). Then it's the Alters, since I'm close to the end as well.
Then it's jRPG time, probably Persona 5 Royal.

Yakuza 3 Dark Ties (Feb 12th)

High On Life 2 (Feb 13th)

Requiem (Feb 27th)

Like A Dragon: Ishin! (backlog) just started playing this, in anticipation of the Yakuza 3 remake.

I really need to finish Assassin's Creed Shadows (bought it at launch, still haven't done half of the story) and Yakuza Kiwami

Ghost Trick is awesome, hope you continue to enjoy!
I stopped yesterday in a tricky part. Not sure whether to look up a guide or figure it out on my own :messenger_tears_of_joy:
I imagine this is a pretty common place to get stuck. I made some progress in it on my own, and I get the gist of it, it's just whether I care enough or not to keep trial and erroring it :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Hasn't diminished my enjoyment of it though, the story and characters are very cool! Nice art style too, very unique for Capcom.

My hype for RE9 is starting to build. Any time an RE comes out, it feels like an event to me. Not many games feel like that these days but Resident Evil always scratches an itch.

I have High on Life 2 preordered as well. The first game was amazing and played like a long season of Rick and Morty. The preview was still quite funny so hoping this is gold.

I almost forgot Aces of Thunder for PSVR2 on PS5. I will purchase Re9 and Romeo is a dead man, along with Aces.of Thunder on Ps5 this February. I was planning to buy MSFS 2024, but I decided I will wait for the VR mode added before buying it.

Resident Evil Requiem and Reanimal for sure.

2026 I want to spend more time playing the hundred of games I have and never finished.

only new game i'll buy is RE9 but not sure i'll get it at launch.

still playing Pokemon ZA and Tears of the Kingdom. In Pokemon I just beat the gamer girl so i think i'm at rank E. in TOTK i've only just met the little bird guy and about to go do the first dungeon area in the storm. first time i tried playing the game i got to the dungeon but didn't know what to do. restarted it when I got the Switch 2 version so just catching up.

everything else is just the usual: flight sim, arc raiders, valorant, etc.

I am going to finish TloZ: Echoes of Wisdom.
Besides probably The Wolf Among Us and Skinny and Franko both on PlayStation.

Resident Evil 9 from february releases.

Finished it last night, terrific game! Also really loved the ending, nice that it was a happy ending, and the reveal was cute!

Not sure what to play next though, I want another detective game, but really just a point & click game.

I've really enjoyed the following:
Ghost Trick
Darkside Detective 1&2
Kathy Rain

This is some of what I haven't played yet in my library:
Blackwell games
Gabriel Knights
Grim Fandango
Leisure Suit Larry Love for Sail
Phantasmagoria
Excavation of Hob's Barrow
Sam & Max OG & Telltale
Unavowed

I realize these aren't all mystery games, and most people won't even come in this thread, let alone having played the games above, let alone Point & Click being popular here, but if anything is highly recommended out of the games above, I'll let that be my next game.

Grim Fandango is overrated, granted it has a unique art-style, but I would have much preferred the style of Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle..I can't actually say it is an all time great...

I'm probably good for games atm. I'm stacked with VR stuff, and I've started FF7 Rebirth again. I'm not going to lie, it could be my fave single player game this gen. It's cozy and fun, and the music is amazing.

Yeah, some old games are all-timers, others were great for their time but not so great anymore. Day of the Tentacle was one of my favorites in the P&C genre!

Unfortunately we live in point and click world now where to get a sequel to both Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle won't ever happen

Rebirth is awesome, one of the main complaint is literally that people do too many side quests and mini games that are optional and then complain there's too many mini games lmao.
'' Too much content '' basically.
