Resident Evil Requiem Showcase - January 15th (2pm PT // 5pm ET // 10pm UK)

I dont need to see anything else from this game I'm already sold and we are already very close to release date. At this point I just want to play the full game.

I WANT to watch it.. but we are so close to release anyway and I've already preordered the game so I think I'll pass. Same with if there's a demo or not.

too many fucking puzzles in this franchise for me. ive retired it.
In other words...

puzzles are not fun and are not fucking scary. they dont belong in a horror game and are a cheap way to pad your game length. Bitch, shoot the fucking door down, you have a shotgun. I dont want to find another way in. Stop wasting my time

Indeed, the puzzles in Resident Evil are pretty boring.

Thinking in this way...you would waste your limited ammo. And you don't always have a shotgun to begin with. And not every door could be opened like that. And horror isn't only about monsters jumping to kill you. And...too much control and power could take out the scariness to begin with. It's just you personally don't like puzzles in general. Totally fair, of course, I understand, but if you think RE franchise has too many puzzles...I see you suffering a lot with most of the survival horror genre, specially with the modern indie revival.

Ok, about the game itself and the showcase...let's see what will they give us. I'm not a fan of the Revelations structure and I like more a horror work not too obssesed to try to please everyone, but it looks obviously better and more atmospheric than that game. Also, I remember they said the Leon part would be scarier than REmake 4, and that game already had a stronger horror element than the original RE4. So yeah, I'm interested to see and hear more about Requiem, we know barely anything about it.

I hope the shooting feels more like RE4Re (satisfying/nice "oomph") than something like RE8 or the remakes of 2 and 3
Can't see why they'd go back like that. Definitely hope they dont go back to RE3's shotgun, that thing might be the worst shotgun i've ever used in a game.

Please avoid padding the game with mindless, heavily scripted "hunter" sequences for large portions of the experience. They quickly become repetitive and undermine the overall pacing and tension.

I am worried about this too. What I have seen, specially Grace's sections, dont look too appealing to me.

While I don't think every single RE game should have a stalker enemy and there are entries without it (RE1, Code Veronica, Zero...), yeah, it's not like this is a weird and unexpected thing from the franchise, even since ps1 era.

On the other hand, there are different ways to do this. You can make it like RE games like REmake 2 and og RE3...or like most of REmake 3. I wouldn't like the later.

Maximum hype. Collectors edition day 1 if they put it out. If not, Deluxe. Don't need to see anything else.

I did, the old guy takes no damage despite bleeding until the game decides you have to kill him.

Exactly like X and Nemesis in RE2 and 3. Are you fucking high? You cannot kill Nemesis early in the game, nor X. They are invincible until the game decides you can later in the game.

What was your last RE title you've played?
I played all of them except the 3ds ones with jilliana.

Last one i enjoyed was 5 which was already a step down from 4 which some people think it was a step back compared to the original trinity.

Let's just say that i fell off the brand with the first person titles.

I liked VII a lot, VIII was good, but I know what you mean about falling off the brand.

I miss the simple story lines of the first 3 games. Just killing zombies and discovering how it all came to be.

Re7 worst sin was the enemy variety, killing black blobs was as exciting as a playthrought of dustborn with electrical nipples pincers turned to max voltage...

8 fixed that a bit butcthe lycans didn't had the charm of the old monsters.

Also the protagonist was a dull ass charisma vacuum.
