At this very moment? Neither; my next gaming purchases hardware-wise will be Steam Machine, Switch 2 and (when prices are better or I get a solid deal), parts to build a SFF desktop running some Linux flavor like Bazzite.
That's all I think I'm going to need, personally speaking. PS6 and PS6 Handheld are interesting in terms of discussing their technology and prospects, but between various lacking features in the UI and usability that SIE still haven't really improved (even compared to systems like PS3 which offered better multimedia functionality as an example), plus their multiplat strategy this gen more or less suggesting everything will be on PC eventually if not Day 1 (it's gonna take a couple more years of not seeing games like Saros, Intergalatic, Wolverine etc. getting ports to convince me they've actually changed that strategy) combined with me not having FOMO? Yeah, there's not much reason for me to "want" a PS6 or PS6 Handheld unless they are offering something revolutionary to the table or do a complete 180 on the lacking features and customer service/refund policy on the platform.
And tighten up security better, too. Still a bit crazy how it seems they haven't fully learned from that infamous PS3 PSN hack 15 years ago, or even the Insomniac ransomware hack more recently. But if you're not going to have genuine exclusives (more 1P games being Day 1 on PC or timed exclusives at best for shortening periods of time doesn't do much for me consider it also means less & less 3P exclusives too), and considering 3P titles are virtually all Day 1 on PC these days too (outside of rare exceptions like GTA6, which I'm personally not that excited for and I think is going to underperform in sales vs. some of the crazy estimates I've seen people mention), just makes my decision easier.
Lastly have to say, SIE's 1P output in general this gen, compared to what it could have been, definitely makes me more cautious of how they'll move. Most of the big sequels have been either heavily or strongly iterative, and played it very safe. The writing/stories in some like Spiderman 2, were not great, and they've had a habit of milking perfectly fine PS4-era games with rather needless remasters or quasi-remakes (e.g HZD Remaster, TLOU2 Remaster etc.), which doesn't put a Spiderman 2 or Intergalatic Remaster for PS6 off the table. Despite what some people here would like to tell me, a big chunk of the GAAS push this gen has absolutely come at the expense of non-GAAS titles; funding money is not infinite nor is the amount of manpower at studios. Plus the literal time it takes to make a GAAS title could've been allotted towards a non-GAAS title too.
SIE need more AA titles among their portfolio and they don't all have to have the budget of an Astrobot, but it seems movement on getting more internal AA games going is still rather slow. At least, based off what we know publicly.
