Mt wife found us another place to move since her brother is moving next month but I am still not sure if its worth moving just to end up saving only $50..... what do you peeps think?

What do you save the 50 on?

If its only on the rent you have to consider a ton of hidden costs/benefits that could skew those 50 easily.

is it $50 cheaper a month? if so, personally I won't do it. but everyone has different circumstances so you'll have to think it over yourself.

Not taking all the other factors like location, ppssible additional expenses and the likes, it's all about perspective. $50 could be a game per month. After 5 years you could buy yourself a flagship GPU or go on a really nice vacation.
Personally if the place was as nice or better than the one I was currently living in I'd probably do it.

Only you can decide whether it's worth it or not.

On the one hand, it's an extra $600 a year.
On the other hand moving is such a pain I probably wouldn't unless the new place has some nice perks (like it being in a nicer neighborhood and/or closer to work or something like that)

If it were:
$50 per month saved

Exactly the same layout/appliances/furnishings/EVERYTHING

And next door to where I'm currently living

then yes. But anything aside from that there would be more to consider to make it worth it/not worth it.

Is the rent at either place likely to rise? Stay at whichever will be cheapest for longest. Invest the savings and eventually get a mortgage instead.

No, moving is a pretty big time and money investment; I'd only do it if I lived somewhere shitty and the new neighbourhood is a straight upgrade where I would stay for a long time.

Is his wife a fatty?

No idea, but I know mine is thick. My wife is an hour glass fatty if that makes any sense.

Edit: Tried finding an image online to give an example and this nails it.

If it costs you nothing else extra, maybe. Moving sucks though. If you got a few buddies to help it's miles easier but then you are paying for pizza and beer which will easily exceed $50.

Also, is it true that most rental places like to screw over veterans? many people have been telling me to lie about me being a veteran?

Is it $50 a month or $50 a year. What fees are there and likelihood of rent increase. Closer or further from work. Type of neighborhood and all that.

I would probably not for 600 a year in savings.

No because moving will have a cost, we will need the help of friends and family and something will be damaged.
So i wouldn't do it.

Nah. Moving is almost always hell. Sure, it depends on the situation, but I can't imagine a scenario where $50 would be worth it

What are the pros and cons of the new place compared to the old place?

Without knowing what that, it's a meaningless question that nobody can give you a decent answer to.

She's running away from something.

If it's a much better neighborhood, more practical, etc, for sure.

Maybe if they are leftist, they hate the military (and themselves). You can smell them, if it smells like shit when they are around, then just smile and leave. Run.

Moving is one of the most stressful things in life, it's not worth it for $50. Unless there is massive upgrades like location, transport, parking, better area. Comfort and location are worth way more than $50. I think you need more than just saving $50 too move.

Fuck no, I hate moving. Several years ago I rented a house from a guy, "Yall can stay as long as you want!"
Dude ends up selling the property after 4 years, new owner owner says, "Yall can stay as long as you want!"
One year later, house is sold again. New owner wants us out so he can flip the house. We were protected by a lease so I told him I'd break it if he paid me, which he did.
Ended up moving into a 1600 sq ft condo for the same price I was paying for that 2400 sq ft house.
A year later that house is still on the market, I would've stayed and paid and now the property generates zero income.
The moron listed it at 600K, dropped it to 500K over the year and had zero bites.
