The skins by Embark in general are very lacklustre anyway so I see no reason to even spend a dime.
The skins they had for The Finals might as well have come out of some Sims game really what with how generic they looked. Actually The Sims (4) characters had more personality and style to them lol.

Given that the logo are 4 lines, being the blue one joining the other 3 (green, yellow and red like the skill trees)... do you think later on we'll have a fourth skill tree branch?
Wouldn't be cool a fourth one that enables you to hack some of the smaller ARCs to help you (somewhat like in Horizon Zero Dawn)?

Finally got around to playing it, did the intro and played 1 match.
I dunno man, it's nothing amazing? I must admit, I don't play any extraction or BR shooters...
I ran around, killed another player, found some rusted metal pieces and killed a robot..
Might have to play a bit more but not really feeling it

"I had Jesus_Christ in my game and he was playing church music through his proximity chat last night. Like I could hear him coming before I saw him.
I saw his name pop up and was like no fucking way... Watched him revive a raider I just shot and killed and was literally getting ready to knockout. He then told me my sins were forgiven and just ran off towards the elevator. Im guessing the other guy was just as WTF as I was because we both just looked at each other frozen.
I heard the elevator call start and then we all exfilled. Together. Peacefully. Under the sound of gospel hymns.

I've done 18 hours of the last 24.
Just had an insane PVP run, one dude took a pop at me outside research and admin so he got it and that alerted the horde. At least another 5 or 6 tried to third party, I swear it felt like an orderly line, just about came out on top and got out in the knick of time.
The Venator IV absolutely shreds.

Speaking of, me and my full Venator loadout perished yesterday when getting ambushed within 60 seconds after spawning into the game... two rats had obviously teamed up in solos.
They both were kitted out like me. Felt weird. If the game matchmakes from level of gear, idk how I would feel about that..
I also saw a big streamer getting continuously stream sniped by the same guys round after round yesterday. Didnt even know that was possible.
Edit: I saw someone say it's actually possible to get together on the same server by sharing the on-screen code and somehow jump servers. That sounds concerning..

There is no gear based matchmaking, the dev's considered implementing it but realised it was a bad idea.

What is missing on console is that you can't hover over the items in the quest descriptions and the things needed for upgrades.
On PC you can hover over them and it shows the description and where to find the items.
Seems like a nitpick, but it's pretty good info to have.

Honestly, amazing. Its my preferred way to play.
Not taking anything away from group play which is also great but its harder, more tense and the social aspect is fantastic.
I just did a run on the storm event solo and I'm still emotionally in bits. Got struck by lightning and it bust my shields. getting out was a bitch.

It isn't a nitpick it's a glaring oversight. That info is essential. It's another reason why I have a mouse at my side for the Speranza part. The game is full of odd shortcomings on a controller, which many players who are queuing up to rim this game seem to weirdly not really talk about. It really seems like controller functionality was a cobbled together afterthought in the game; I mean, you can't even change your layout. Game's been in development for donkeys years, so no excuses.
Anyway, I'm level 17 and have managed to get a mate on at last. Duos is more tense than solos, but it's also nice to have a someone backing you up. It's chill, with an edge. With that said, I still feel like my progress is moving along at snail's pace. But that possibly down to my lack of objective focus - I tend to just jump in with no clear goal and just see what happens.

The game is so weirdly different from day to day.. yesterday was honestly my worst time in the game by far, Most of the time I got griefed for no reason, camper rats and trolls everywhere. I'm telling you, before all the kids get home from school are the best times to play.
Basically before 3pm, solo, day raids are the safest and friendliest.
Meanwhile after 3pm, trios, night raids are the most PvP heavy.
Weekends lean on the less friendlier side as well. Granted there's always exceptions. I've had some late night raids with trios where multiple teams were chill in the same building looting.

This game man. I pop in for a quick game before dinner and just had the most wholesome interaction with a couple of randoms getting hassle off a camper. Took him out, rezzed them both let them loot his cold dead body and we extracted together.
I am not normally a nice person but i think being nice might be more rewarding than being a cunt.

I love that I don't have a single care about how the matchmaking works on ps5. I've disabled the cross play, and since I'm a fucking maniac who's already killed a queen and shit on everyone for 99% of my pvp encounters.
Far as I'm concerned it works brilliantly but I'm sure the guys on the other end of my scope don't feel the same.

Btw, positive morning today, i found the blueprint for bettina and anvil in one single run and found all the missing parts to upgrade a couple of working stations that i still had at level 1

Something weird (bug?) going on with controller rumble/vibration...
I'm on Series X and I have no controller vibration. I also had none with the Tech Test. There is no setting for it either. I see others mentioning the rumble is working and I see others that are using Dualsense on PC say it's not working.
I haven't played a shooter without vibration in probably 20 years and it greatly hinders the satisfaction of the gun play without it.

People not checking already opened container\enemies to get the free 200xp points is gonna drive me crazy...
A room with 10 already opened containers is like 2000 free xp in like 30 sec.
One of those loud dildos with 3 openings is 1500 free xp.
Play smart folks, xp is as important as loot.

Last night, on PC, was not friendly. Got in more PVP fights last night then all the previous days combined. Finished out the night on PS5. Five hours sitting at the desk, I needed a break to the couch. Helped a new player drop the battery into the field house thing. Also showed him how to spot Raider Caches and then helped him leave since he got some good gear. My Gunsmith bench is now level 3.I got the last rusted gear and Sentinel drive this morning. This game has hooks in me like WoW did back in the day.
