So.... my wife walked in just as I opened this thread.
Asked what I was looking at. Fun conversation.
Any who...
Decided I wanted get back into drawing as a hobby since I felt I was fairly decent when I was younger.
I picked up Betty Edwards "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" and I've been going through it.
The current exercise is a copy of Picasso's "Portrait of Igor Stravinsky" upside down.
Here it is right side up.
Not quite the level of being able to make money drawing furry porn but soon it will be. #Goals2026

I don't find drawing all that relaxing honestly. I'm a bit too much a of a perfectionist and if it's not "perfect" I start getting frustrated. And I can see exactly where I got frustrated on the left hand and it annoys me and I wish to burn it.

I might be one of the few people on this planet that actually enjoys their work.
But I still know the feeling of wanting to travel all the time. Or the feeling after going to a festival for 3 or 4 days and suddenly returning to the real world. That was always heart shattering.

It's good fun to try but really hard to get in to.
What do you do as a job? Nothing specific, just roundabout.
We have been dropped into negotiations since HR wanted that and they are trying real hard to bring us into their tariff deal which gives them all the power over us but none of the benefits the company offers to their employees.
Real funny since once they force it onto us we just leave and take all the stuff they are benefiting from having us away, personell and machinery.

I'm head of library at a university. I love my team and I love a good part of my work. Management shit isn't my favourite though.
