Yooka-Replaylee - Official Teaser Trailer

I'm all for a remaster.. but they need to do more than visual upgrades.. tighten that game up.
it was a "Good" game not a great game.. it could be great with some tweaks.
The entire launch trailer 3 posts up from yours is a showcase of changes they have made. Did you drop in, check the OP from 2 months ago, then post without wondering why it was bumped?

I didn't realize it was old.. must have missed it the first time

Yooka-Replaylee reviewed by Travis Northup on PC and PlayStation 5, also available on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.

Yooka-Replaylee aims to overhaul a platformer that was rife with frustrating issues, and while it does feel better for it, none of its changes do enough to bring it close to the 3D platforming standards of today. Improvements to the movement of both your camera and character, the upgraded graphics, and the removal of unnecessary annoyances like having to unlock abilities over time are all fantastic changes. But all of the bending that was done to modernize this thing has resulted in an almost equal number of drawbacks, like a story that has been unsatisfyingly chopped up and a search for Pagies that feels a bit too easy given how many are now crammed into each area. So unless your nostalgia for this kind of 3D platformer is particularly strong, there aren't a ton of compelling reasons to revisit this one.

Funny thing to say when a game like Silksong released just one month ago.
And I don't understand why they felt the need to do that. It's perfectly normal in collectathon platformers to have to revisit levels with new abilities.

It would have been hard to revamp YL and turn it into an unmissable game, as the original was very mid. If the changed turned it into an overall better game, it may be worth it when it's €20.
