Have you ever been embarrassed by your school's sports team?

So... I'm back living in my hometown and for the past year I've been cheering on my siblings' college alma mater, who won their SWAC Championship last year... And our HS boys basketball team won a regional or state championship (which I also went to) earlier this year.

And this year, I've been getting more into our football team's chances but ... They've been getting MOLLYWHOPPED! I'm embarrassed to even claim them!

Have you ever been embarrassed by your school's teams? Like they lost so bad, jokes are being made about them BY the fans?

My son was in marching band for a year so we went to all the high school football games. They were bad, I'm sure a lot of effort went in to it, but they looked like the only training they had was watching football on TV. Fans were reduced to celebrating first downs, as a touchdown or even field goal was pretty much out of the question.
I should say I wasn't embarrassed because I didn't really care but had second hand embarrassment.

Looking back, I only went to the games of the sports my schools were good at, or the games/events I was playing/participating in. I wasn't embarrassed if my team wasn't doing well; mostly just not interested.

Not at all. Kids playing games in high school now have nothing to do with the me or my experiences I had when I attended/played back in the day. Whether good or bad.
As for college, that's more like your pro team of choice being bad. It sucks, but not embarrassing. Unless you played for that team in the past and they are insanely bad now, like UCLA football, then I kind of get it.

Have never been into team sports so no

I was part of a trophy winning team at school and I expect it's still the only thing in the cabinet all these years later.
