So now I'm wondering if what is actually going to happen is that Microsoft has struck a deal with Nintendo and Sony for XCLOUD games on these platforms.
There is no way sea of thieves and more modern titles are going to work on switch natively. Maybe switch 2 but Im thinking they can offer all these XBOX games to Sony and Switch players via Cloud easily. Offer Nintendo and Sony a % for the games and now they have a new install base for all their IP's

Lol no

There's no need for Xcloud when the games will probably be released on their digital stores.

Microsoft already have multiplatform GaaS game like CoD, Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV, now they can release games like Grounded, Sea of Thieves and Forza Motorsport and just keep raking in money from Nintendo and Sony owners with seasonal content.

I'm sorry but in what world would Nintendo and Sony fans be there to turn Xbox around?

The walls fell and now all games will be multiplatform with PS5 and PC receiving the same games (possibly the Xbox will disappear) leaving only Nintendo as the only one with exclusive software

Honestly this approach/vision seems much more Microsoft’s forte. All their hardware products have always been a bit out of place and not quite found their footing. They excel at SAAS. 🤷‍♂️ makes little difference, if games I want come to ps5 I’ll play them there, if they don’t, I’ll play em on the seriesX

I hate them
I hate their philosophy.
We all play, we all win, every screen is an xbox.

These are just empty, looser quotes. They can't win so they drag the whole industry with them.
I really think it's time for xbox to die.

They are not competing, they are not bringing anything good into gaming and the industry. They are just hurting it.
360 was a fantastic console. They were really competing. But paid online is still her today and it's their fault. They really lost it in last year or two of 360 and everything after that is a joke.

Sony doesn't need them to compete just as Nintendo doesn't need any competition and still makes good games.
Xbox is such an empty shell of a gaming company and a industry devouring monster, that I am retroactively disliking my 360 and I love that thing.
Goodbye xbox. nobody will miss you.

I love these catch phrases that Microsoft are so good at "every screen is an Xbox" genius stuff! Sarah Bond you have to admire her ball's.

Do you remember how much MS paid for that?
I don't think that's relevant. What is relevant is simply the more software Microsoft put on Nintendo and Sony systems, the more money Xbox makes, especially live service games and Xbox has three great live service games ready to go for both of them.

Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush are two highly rated single player games for those who want that, too.

I’m broadly of the same opinion.

I’ll admit to having a soft spot for MS, simply down to the original X and 360, and I far preferred Gears and Halo to anything Sony offered.

But fuck me they’ve fallen off a cliff. Phil Spencer is a fucking useless buffoon and it’s been years since they released anything good.

Their games are fucking shit. How they’ve managed to make Gears boring is beyond me. The single coolest console game on the planet and it’s a dreary snoozefest.

Gears trilogy is probably my fav trilogy ever. I finished those games so many times on 360.
Halo games on 360?! amazing... until 4.
360 had tons of exclusives and good tech at the time. Remember, ps3 couldn't keep up.

Now they still make gears... but coalition has no idea what gears is. 4 is just a mediocre game and 5 is barely a gears game.
Halo infinite is the worst halo campaign I've ever finished. 3 big levels, hours of corridors, every boss is monke.
And constant promises, diluting the waters, more nonsense quotes. They are soulless corporation and in the first 360 years, they seemed ENTHUSIASTIC and real. Just thing about blades 360 era.... They were so good, people accepted paid online

It's up to Xbox to deliver now. They ought to spew out games given their situation. All the IP's they gulped up over the years it's time they show the world they don't just do their damndest to buy absolutely everything just to kill all competition.
