The trailer they showed September 2021 looked very far along in development. Gameplay from many different environments was shown. I don't see any reason to think it can't make a 2022 release date.

Regardless, Sony already released Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and The Show 22 from first-party studios.

They also have third-party exclusives such as Forspoken, Ghostwire Tokyo and possibly Final Fantasy XVI.

Nintendo has several first-party games like Pokémon Legends, Kirby, Xenoblade 3, Switch Sports and Splatoon 3. And third-party games like Triangle Strategy and Mario + Rabbids.

I don't know if there's been any first-party Xbox games. There's been a couple really good timed indie exclusives with Tunic and Rogue Legacy 2, though.

Overall 2022 isn't great outside of us getting the GOAT in Elden Ring.
