DLC? The game has tons of content already.

Thats so cute lol

I like how you think DLC is based on lack of content or something.

DLC is about money sir....thats it. McDonalds does not make new burgers based on the lack of burgers, they make new to make more money, thats it. Business is not a charity, they are not looking to fix some thing in terms of content, they are looking to make more money, thats it. You can get DLC with a game that has lots of content, you can get DLC from a game with little content...the DLC was not made to solve some "content" issue, it was made to make money. Everyone one of theses games has had DLC since it was able to have DLC, this should have never been a shock to anyone...

Ask me about my fanboy energy!
I remember when there was a 4chan leak about Halo Infinite's campaign which involved time travel and sounded like a teenager wrote that. And then during the multiplayer preview some campaign files were there which leaked the mission objectives and hence a general outline of the story, that was actually real since the harbinger appeared in the campaign preview. I spoiled myself by reading that leak because everyone believed that 4chan leak was real and legit. Turns out that 4chan leak was false and I spoiled myself big parts of the campaign.
Stop believing in bullshit from 4chan.

Lol even the devs themselves don't want to make a game for babies with no progression system but have to, makes sense as those guys are really enthusiasts also. FH1 was so damn good

Yeah dude, I mean... FH5 doesn’t feel like a game that stuff was deliberately cut out of before release. Plenty of games out there where DLC clearly feels like something that should have been in the base game to begin with, but FH5 is already huge as it is. And it’s not even been out a month, so hearing about DLC so early just surprised me a bit, that’s all.

I understand what you are saying, but thats irrelevant to DLC. Its made to make money. Thats literally the easiest way to understand any of this. Nothing about "deliberately cut" or "should have been" etc, the DLC is made to make money period, its not by happenchance, its not based on if the game has less content, its not to give you something in place of something else out of the kindness of their hearts, its to make money.

When we got to the point of entire teams being made solely for post launch content, the notion of this whole "deliberately cut" should have been gone too. We can make that assumption when DLC is a new thing or something like "wooooow folks are buying that horse armor, slow down and cut that new jet pack and save it for this...DLC you call it?" lol When its been here for generations and whole ass teams make post launch content as their primary thing...the idea that something is cut is not only silly, it doesn't even make sense. Why would they need to cut anything if a team is already tasked with that post launch content in the first place? As in..its not an accident, its not happening based on a reaction, its not happening based on not enough content, its happen cause the publisher wants more money and already has a team making new content made to be sold afterwards. So if its already planned or in some planning phase, it means the concept of "should have" will never make sense to something that was literally planned to NEVER be in the main game in the first place.

So lets say this DLC is a different place or a set of new cars or something, if that portion of the team has some new idea they are talking about right now, it means it wasn't going to be in the main game at all, was planned after and even if it was planned during the main game.....its irrelevant as the post launch teams job is to plan content for DLC, not the main game. I'm willing to bet all the money I ever make that they already had a team planning DLC before this game ever released, as why the fuck would they NOT be planning it to have it ready months after launch? To benefit whom? lol When you know its just for money, it makes all this easier to get tbh lol

a dense urban city sounds like a very good idea IMO, because we have enough open spaces in Horizon... and I personally wished for an urban style Horizon for a long time. Like many I would have loved a Tokyo setting with a focus on modification and street racing.

Doesn't playground games have a lot of old bizarre creations talent?

I'm not really sure, I don't now where lots of that team went after it was closed down tbh I also don't think anyone person has dat magic sauce to make PGR...well...PGR. I think its so old, lots of teams can do a better concept, thus the old staff would not be a must. PG as they are currently I feel are better then that team and I never played a single Forza game in my life and played all the PGR titles lol

Simply based on the reception, the fans really like what PG puts out, I don't see anything in what they do that tells me they couldn't pull off a city type thing like PGR. Maybe they want to wait til they do a next gen only one to flex the tech or something.

edit. ok turns out the former staff made a new studio.

I recall something like this happening, but wasn't 100% on it.

The team behind Dirt 5 should make a new PGR/Driveclub.
They belong to Codemasters, who now belong to EA.

As much as i liked PGR at the time, i dont know if all the cone stuff, and some of the various chall;engers, would really work today. I did enjoy the actual racing though.
