Wouldn't be at all shocked if it was held back and used as marketing. "Season 2, the arbitrator returns"
Calm down. It will be launched after 2-3months. Its not like u will create anything in forge. Polished campaign and multiplayer is more important. Are you fucking kidding me!? Theyve had 5 fucking years, plus an extra one since the launch of halo 5. The game was literally delayed an entire fucking year so they could release a complete product. Jesus christ, what the fuck is going on over there? No campaign to show yet either? How could this be coming in hot after an entire fucking year delay? Covid does not cut it as an excuse at this point
Trolls and Sony fanboys will use it to bash Halo infinite but real sensible mature fans wont mind waiting for coop. I always play Halo solo first then try coop later on Legendary.won't affect most people.
This sucks if that comes to pass.
i really dont get this mentality. just play mp for a few months. just sounds like people being petty. unless you are seriously only getting halo for the 6 hour campaignNo co-op is a non starter for me. Guess I'll play later on, still excited for the game though.
I thought some outlets do end up changing their review. Specifically thinking about DriveClub here. I dont know about other games.Nobody should be surprised if Halo will get a bunch of 7/10 scores because of this, which will paint it as an average game for the eternity even if they update it in a few months.
Lots of people still think Sea of Thieves is an average game because of this:

Critics only rate the day 0 version, they don't know what to do with GaaS games yet, they never return for a second review after an update so the day 0 state is still the most important period in a game's life.
And yes, reviews matters, especially in combination with angry fans which we clearly see will happen here. A snowball of negativity is difficult to stop.
They should delay it.
Let Call of Duty and Battlefield fight it out this year. Release it in March 2022.
But Halo 5 had 4 player co-op and you yet you call it crap?I am not a Sony boy lolol. Far from it. To deal with it, I may no play it for a while. It's been a 20-year tradition to play Halo coop with some of my best friends. After the crap 5 was, they keep taking the luster off of the series.
Driveclub still have a 71 metascore so I don't think it matters unless everybody go back to re-review a game.I thought some outlets do end up changing their review. Specifically thinking about DriveClub here. I dont know about other games.
Its HALO though and ahould get some benefit.
It depends on your needs and how you play Halo. For many, it matters a lot and they'll wait and also for many, it doesn't matter and they do it after or never. Both are valid, I think and I understand people who are genuinely frustrated by it.Not sure how much those two modes matter to most people but co-op is pretty damn important for me so this really is a shame.
I think perhaps the most surprising thing about Halo Infinite for me is that if people didn't kick up such a fuss at the launch event the game would have been out for approaching a year now.
Wasn't with you till today, thought they understood after all the talk of splitscreen as co op leading upthe only crap I see is the damn excuses made, I am maybe the biggest Halo fan on this forum, and FUCK these shitty developers for not being able to deliver A FINISHED FUCKING PRODUCT after 6 years of development and a FULL YEAR delay.
people like you are the issue shit like this even still happens. just ignore the bad things because god forbid someone says something bad about your favourite piece of plastic...
343 Industries HAD 4 FUCKING CHANCES NOW to deliver a good product, they failed at all 4 of them. Call of Halo 4 was their first strike, Master Glitch Collection was their second strike, Halo Advanced Warfare 5 was the third one and now, even tho Microsoft should have fire each of their shitty asses after MCC and Halo 5 they still kept that absolutely terribly managed shithole of a studio running and now they AGAIN fail to deliver a finished game with the features intact that every Bungie Halo launched with DAY FUCKING ONE!
Launching a Halo game without Coop is like releasing a fighting game without local VS, IT'S SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE.
Halo 5's playerbase died after 3 months PRECISELY because of missing features like forge and multiple modes that were franchise staples.
so once again,
FUCK 343 INDUSTRIES
So the rumors of it coming in somewhat pieces last year were true.........
Surprised we have not heard anything of the campaign coming in sections/chapters.
Come on it's not just Sony fans, some are literally affected by this and some are just tired of seeing yet another big release stumble on the finish line. You're just fine with this because it doesn't affect you, but the next time it might be the multiplayer or campaign that gets delayed. It's time devs stop doing these "We'll fix it later" releases.Such an overreaction to anything halo related in this thread. It's ridiculous. Sony fanboys try and use it as a beating stick. People are desperate to see this game fail. Which is sad for the developers.
It's really not a big deal. I can't wait to play the campaign solo soon and the amazing MP.
Look at how much content this game will have and how many variations of the game need to launch. Throw in a global pandemic and delays are bound to happen. I'd much rather the solo campaign and multiplayer launched this year than delay the entire game to add in these features.Come on it's not just Sony fans, some are literally affected by this and some are just tired of seeing yet another big release stumble on the finish line. And why is it so important to release it in 2021 anyway?
Why? What is the incentive for the publisher to do it that way (i.e.: full base game of old plus big DLC's in a GaaS game given away for free as part of a wider subscription service)?I'm actually all for this. All games should be free live service games in 2021. Give us the base game for free (well, with the GP sub price)[…]
It's not making the game worse, with a delay they have more time to polish up the solo campaign and multiplayer as well, maybe they don't need to patch it up after launch like every other dev does now.Look at how much content this game will have and how many variations of the game need to launch. Also there is the case that can be made at some point axing the previous generation versions the more they sell XSX|S consoles…It's not making the game worse, with a delay they have more time to polish up the solo campaign and multiplayer as well, maybe they don't need to patch it up after launch like every other dev does now.
Appreciate the response bro, it was a very soothing and ensuring one that calmed me down some. Seeing those dirty milkers in your avi helped a little too.I hear you, but not only has game development gotten more complex with time, but Infinite has a pretty different design scope compared to 4 and 5. It's a lot less linear than those games were, for starters.
The way I'm looking at this is, they decided to focus so much on revamping the single-player campaign and polishing that and the arena MP so much that they just did not have as much time to get co-op campaign and Forge ready in time to the same standard. Hence the extra time they need.
Overall I still trust the game's in great shape and headed towards the right path but I agree 343i still has a LOT of trust to earn back and delaying co-op and Forge ain't exactly helping them do so. I hope they do a preview of the campaign in the near future sometime close enough that shows some amazing stuff campaign-wise that many have been wanting since the original trilogy.
They were quoted as saying it will be a live game that could last 10 years. They are going to continue to update the game going forward. It's not like they have cancelled the features. It's not making the game worse, with a delay they have more time to polish up the solo campaign and multiplayer as well, maybe they don't need to patch it up after launch like every other dev does now.
They won't rebuild the game for only Series consoles and PC at this point so I don't see a problem with the XB1 version. Also there is the case that can be made at some point axing the previous generation versions the more they sell XSX|S consoles…
It's releasing 2021 mate, what you talking about?Klobrille with ridiculous bad hit rate.

Only half the gameIt's releasing 2021 mate, what you talking about?
Campaign + multiplayer = half the game now?Only half the game
Stop talking nonsense, how is Forge and co-op half the game? Co-op missing is something I'll miss but as long as the campaign is polished I can wait. Forge is more for the hardcore.Only half the game
Told you all, this clown knows nothing.Klobrille with ridiculous bad hit rate.

So singlpelayer games are always only 25% of a real game by your logic?Only half the game

I get away with zero trolling because I basically never troll. My avatar can't hurt you (she might eat you though). It's amazing how much trollingBernd Lauert gets away with. He's obsessed with PlayStation fans.
The fact that keeps acting like a victim of "PS fanboy" persecution every time there's negative Xbox news is hilariously hypocritical.
