I dont get the popularity of Minecraft, at least not the longevity of it's popularity. A 2-3 year fad was what I expected but now I don't get how it's still kicking. It's barely changed at the core. You still primarily do the same things.

This is a dangerous drop like 1 day after imagining the Saturn game we never got.

Though it still probably would have looked better than this...I know Minecraft is all about the blockiness gimmick but it would be nice if the characters looked smoother.

Even LEGO gave Sonic his own special head mold instead of trying to finagle it lol.

Still, what the hell. I might grab this...after some more impressions. I'm intrigued that it might be an OK simple Sonic experience which I could use in 3D.

Bad example you gave. What I meant was is Minecraft still relevant to new players! Because Minecraft was overexposed as the game to play… YouTube, twitch. I was just wondering if there's no "fatigue" from that game.

Just bought for the kids on Switch. Apparently I had $7.50 to redeem from points in my account I had no idea of. So used that and got the price down to $7.50. Not bad at all.

Roblox? Second life? But I don't think it just graphically looks worse, the gameplay looks very stiff too. Sonic just loses all momentum on jumps.

Looks rough as hell. Very unpolished. Still also looks better than what I expected. I would say it even has potential. The levels look cool, but lack smoothness, the capsule movement and camera need some work, getting rings and hit responsiveness need work as well.

Very weird, I thought it'd be some characters and tiles but it seems to be complex and have more work involved than I expected. I would have rather made a new sonic game, even try to innovate and use simple graphics. That would be fine as well.

there has been a wave of Nostalgia for it recently, i guess Minecraft suffered the Pokemon effect
