Uncharted 4 has been played by over 37 million players

To celebrate the game's 5th anniversary, Naughty Dog have announced some statistics about Uncharted 4.

- over 37 million players on PS4 and PS5 since its May 2016 launch
- 13.3 million played the multiplayer
- 9.8 mil pet the lemur
- 9.5 mil used accessibility options
- 7.5 mil played Marco Polo again
and more..

We knew it had sold over 20 million units, but it seems it has sold even more by now. Though some millions of those players likely played used copies and or got the game via PS Plus, or a friend's copy, etc.

Perhaps they can patch the game to run at 60 FPS on PS5?

How many wumpa fruits collected? The silence from Dr Uckmann is deafening.

Seriously though, a great game and congratulations to Naughty Dog.

Was a great end to a great series

I hope they leave the series there but with those kind of sales I don’t see how they can

Maybe a young Drake game. No interest in a game with his daughter, feels like it’s treading on the toes of TLOU too much

Give it another 5 years though and come back with a fresh take on the formula like GOW 2018 and people will be lining up

Yeah there is this, and there is TR as well, A male hero is better fitting for Uncharted and there's already Tomb Raider as adventure game with a female lead.

Never played it because i don't have a Sony console but i saw a video from Kyle Bosman where you're in the house of Nathan Drake. I really liked it.

Awesome shit, hope they return to the series and give it a modern twist with cutting edge graphics. Imagine the set pieces and environments with current tech!

Cleared it recently, lovely environments terrible game design.

Why do they not trust me to play the game on my own, why constantly is there some NPC following me all the time either barking orders or cheesy wisecracks. You guys like this?!! What happened to exploring old abandoned locations alone like the original TR games.

I'd be fine with Shaun Escayg directing another Uncharted game. He directed The Lost Legacy and just rejoined Naughty Dog. Josh Scherr is still there too and he's co-written every entry, like he and Escayg co-wrote Lost Legacy.

They could easily do another 10 hour game that stars Chloe (and Nadine / Sam) and picks up where Lost Legacy ended. I liked it for the simpler Uncharted adventure it was, with no Nate Elena relationship drama lol. Nate's daughter would be a lame idea IMO.

But I think everyone would want to see Naughty Dog make a new IP also, so who knows. I don't want them to do it unless they want to make another Uncharted. If it's forced, it'll suck.

Nathan Drake is an iconic well known character. It’s not Uncharted without him IMO

Chloe was okay for a spin-off but she can’t carry a main entry

I hope they continue the franchise, no idea how they would do it given the ending, but imo the Uncharted series was way better than Last of Us, and Nathan Drake is one of my favorite video game characters of all time. I'm sure whatever Naughty Dog makes will be great, and if they have no interest in doing an Uncharted 5 I don't want them to force themselves to do it, but I just want to see more of those characters if possible.

Disagree. And Claudia Black is a better actor than Nolan North, IMO.

We're never getting another Nathan Drake game from Naughty Dog, they've said that multiple times. Uncharted 4 was his end. Maybe he'd get a cameo tho.

What’s there to disagree about? Ask a casual who Nathan Drake is and many of them will have an answer. Ask them who Chloe Frazer is and they’ll have no idea what you’re on about.

I would be okay with another Chloe spinoff but I would really like a Sully spinoff if they keep making more.

We both know uncharted 2 was the best
I thought so but I replayed all 4 least year and... 2 is amazing but 4 it's just so much deeper in story, gameplay and graphics of course. That ending. Man tears
I loved 3 back in the day but last year I realized it just ended in the middle and what is left of it is unfinished.

How about celebrating with 4k60 or 120 patch nd?

Isn’t naughty dog the only studio in the sony portfolio who hasn’t done shit for any of their games on ps5?

Also, can’t believe it’s been 5 years.

You said because she's not iconic, they can't make another game about her. I disagree that she has to be iconic already. No character is iconic until they become iconic, obviously. Nate wasn't iconic after Uncharted 1.

And when they revealed Chloe in the reveal demo at PSX, the crowd cheared. They knew who she was. She's a well known character for Uncharted fans. Not a huge mainstream icon, sure. But neither was Nate back years ago.

If your standard is "has to be as iconic as Nate" then Uncharted is dead lol. Cause Nate's daughter and Sam Drake are even less iconic than Chloe. And they're not gonna make a game just about Sully.

"Now with the PS5 out, let's celebrate this old game without announcing a 60fps patch that everybpdy has been asking for and the timing for which couldn't have been better" . They're doing it on purpose, they can't be that dense.

They could just as easily have been cheering for Uncharted itself, and PlayStation fans cheering for a PlayStation game at PSX isn’t a barometer of anything

The game hardly rocked the boat with sales figures. It never really charted wel anywhere and Naughty Dog have never spoken about how it sold

If her first game had been a big hit I might agree with you, but continuing on with her after what was likely a sales flop makes no sense

Eh again we just disagree, no biggie.

2 set the precedence for how most big story games are set up till this day. large set pieces, deep story, and fun gameplay. only thing that sucked about the ps3 uncharted games was the gunplay.

after replaying 2 and 4 the cake still goes to 2 for making story games what they are today.

A good Uncharted game, even if it was not as good as the previous 3. It was TLOU2 that I did not enjoy. Just so we are clear, it's not because of any reasons that involve social issues (for either game), so here is a preemptive fuck off if that's the card you are going to try to play.
