When Sony trademarked PS6 and beyond was that just wishful thinking... Will Sony's added focus on moblie gaming eventually put an end to their Console dominance, Will Nintendo be the last Console producer, will Microsoft release a Fire Stick type unit in the future.... 🤷‍♂️

Or could this just all be an over reaction to assumptions based on hearsay and misinformation. 🤷‍♂️

Find out tomorrow.

Is there something we can do to remove Jim Ryan and Hermen Hulst? The only idea i have is kill both of them but that's not halal in my religion so i can't do that, is there another thing to do to remove both of them?

Remove those two and Please give us Shawn back!!

I wonder if there needs to be some kind of intervention.

Sony have not stopped with the bad news/PR for a long time and it just seems to keep coming every week. It's like clockwork. Screenshot this next week and it will be proof.

It's like when someone loses a foot they think oh let's chop the leg too. 🤣
Please Sony. Don't die on us now. 😤

While I share some concern about the direction of the current Playstation division as in too many corporate hacks and big brands and too few enthusiastic gamer hearts, I also feel that the current social media frenzy is deeply unfair.

Sony has the most small exclusive titles - as well as small exclusive titles coming - of any of the big three i.e. MS, Nintendo and Sony. Sony has the largest catalogue of both existing and upcoming exclusive triple-AAA titles.

The same crowd that looks on Returnal stating 'it is not triple-AAA enough' and 'why is the hero not a stereotypical alpha-male muscle hero' screams bloody murder in the next thread when Sony allegedly is going more in the direction of mainstream triple-AAA titles. That is slightly confusing to say the least...

In other words, there is a lot of fake rage going on from fans of other platforms that tries to get a kick in to stir unrest rather than a good discussion about the direction of Playstation.

If I were Sony I would not say anything and just plan for a State of Play where I went all in on future titles and probably choose to reveal a bit more than was originally planned.

Just wondering how you are defining small exclusive titles? Internally developed or indies that Sony have exclusivity on?

Both. The legal structure around how you work with creators is secondary - you should work with them on the terms that most suit them. If they want to be independent and you fund individual projects against exclusivity or whether they prefer to be a legally owned entity is a moot point as long as the creators are happy and you get games to your eco-system. You can make a comparison with pharmaceutical development - you have in-house drug discovery as well as in-licensed innovation from smaller players that are highly creative. In the end it is still your product.

Id@xbox is pretty big, not sure how we accurately could say Sony has the most.

In terms of pure numbers, I suspect that Sony does have the most but not sure it is due to Sony actively reaching out to developers and how much is devs going towards the audience.

I also can't understand all this "bashing" (don't know how to call it) based on rumors, essentially. Or did we get any concrete proof about what Schreier wrote?

What I surely now, is that Sony launched a new console with relatively niche games. They launched with Demon's Souls, Sackboy and what many call a Spider-Man "DLC" (🤦). And a free little gem named AstroBot.

Instead they could have moved Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us 2 for launch and slap a cross-gen label on them.

They released Dreams last year, Destruction All-Stars 2 months ago and their next exclusives are Returnal and Ratchet and Clank. Can somebody tell me, which of them is a multi-million seller?

Baffled? Aniplex (Sony) publishes the Fate/Grand Order(F2P Gacha mobile game) which has made over $4B
And this:

Playstation Mobile on Google Play

I cant tell if its trolling or ppl legit freaking out. Either way, ppl need to calm down

Sony has been involved with mobile games for years, hell they still make smartphones.

I still can't figure out why's everyone going crazy about Sony, base on some rumors.

Jim Ryan is hated because SONY wants him to make money. Cause , no one else does.
tvs : loss
Mobile: enormous loss,
Pictures: Covid Related Loss

The survival of the company depends on Playstation. Xbox can afford to sustain loss, cause they have a cash cow to milk. Sony doesn't. The problem with Jim is that he doesn't sell it very well.

You're years out of date with those financials

Not confusing, many unpaid astroturfers and console warriors loving to stir shit up and leave emoticons or gif as replies. Purpose is to upset the other lot and laugh about it :).

Sssshh!!! Common sense is not allowed here.

Only melodrama and mass hysteria.

I still don't get the appeal, i see a marginal increase in users but i don't think people are going to buy in for 'some' music, 'some' anime, 'some' movies especially if that content are on other services but could be wrong.
Depends on the price doesn't it?
I used to be a paying member of crunchyroll until I started having some issues with the vpn. I'm definitely not going to pay a monthly fee to only see a few of the anime available on the service. Yes, fuck geo-restrictions.
But if they bundle all in I probably would go for it, seeing I'm already paying for plus and ps now anyway.

I miss Shawn. Aside from strategy, his way of talking and appearance. Jim Ryan is just corporate.
Like I said in another thread. There's a difference between the "money guys" and the guys who work with the creatives. Sony's old guard were a mix of both.

Edit:
There's nothing wrong with being corporate as that is what you're in business to do. However I don't think Jim has played a video game in 20+ years and that much really shows. I am also holding on Hermen Hulst to see what decisions he makes and how they pan out.

Implying I've been banned for console warrioring.

Nice spin but I was actually not trying to mention the reason why you got the ban.

Unless you want to discuss it?

But I really don't want to. As for console warring it's very rare to get a straight up perm for it unless your brand new or have accumulated multiple offenses. The one shot perms are usually much worse based off what I've seen on this site. Like discrimination against minorities for example.
