We don’t have a solution for this right now but we are actively looking into options for this.

Yes, you will be able to earn the same achievements like on PS4.
6. Will I be able to play with my friends on PS4?
Yes this is possible, however the 24 player servers are exclusive to PS5.
7. Why do I have to pay for the upgrade?
Because the PS5 version isn't just an "60 FPS" patch for the old game, it contains new data, new textures, new effects etc and also has full support for the PS5 DualSense controller.
8. What about the Xbox Serie S|X version?
A similar Xbox Series S|X native version will launch later this year, also charged if you want to upgrade.
9. When do PC get these upgrades as well otherwise they are covering what we are seeing as well.

Having the option of the free 60fps or full patch for 10 dollars would be a good solution. I personaly would pay the 10 bucks since this is one of the best arcade racers out there and a next gen version can be nice. In Dirt 5 and WRC 9 on PS5 the loading is fast and the Dualsense suport make the games better to play.
The PS5 version ? No where to be seen.

There is no next gen version yet. The first proper next gen patch comes out in June.

I have purchased the game on xbox already, and enjoy the free update clearly. But overall, I would rather pay the $10 for the upgrade with the other graphics enhancements than just the fos unlock for free. Hopefully bugbear is reading, you have my money if you do the xbox too...

I’ve just seen that the XSS/X is getting the next gen patch later this year, so at least Xbox players will get the choice.
I’ve completed career mode already, and don’t really do the MP, so unlikely to buy.
Amazing game though, and thoroughly recommend to anybody who has yet to experience it.

Ok so Wreckfest PS5 gets the "next generation patch" this June. Will wait closer to release to grab it. I have it on PC and it's a blast. Looking forward to see
how the PS5 version stacks up against it.

My experience on Series X with the 60fps is enough for me. A $10 upgrade wont change all the fun and laughter i have had with this as it currently stands. Good to have the option though for those that want it

No, but I think it's likely to appear in PS+. Control also has a paid next-gen version, but the problem was (partially) avoided by making it a PS+ title.

I guess there was a good reason to put it on GamePass, but meh, as much as I hate this situation. I payed 50USD (without sale) for it (normally games cost easily 80 bucks here), that 10 USD on top is not a big deal.
Control on the other hand, as much as it is game of the whole last gen, I didn't buy the UE. Because I bought OG game + season pass and they showed me middle finger. So fuck 505.
I was already subscribed when Wreckfest dropped on Gamepass. I didn't know it was coming.
For me, it's effectively free.

A mate has recently got a free Xbox Series X using 'Xbox All Access'.
He wanted to pay £30 a month for something, could have been anything at all.
So was effectively free.
I find arguments are most effective if they make sense. If the above is all you've got, might be best to admit I'm right and move on.

Split hairs all you like. I have an existing subscription for the games that were already on the service. Games outside that are cream on the cake. Apparently that causes you some discomfort, well good news, you too can enjoy the benefits of Gamepass, you just need the right hardware.
I played Wreckfest for FREE. Nearly finished it, was awesome btw. Now onto Outriders, hopefully this FREE game will be just as much fun.
Enjoy paying full price on PS. I'm sure that's better...somehow.

I was just starting to enjoy Wreckfest at 60fps on consoles, played a ton on PC already, started when it was early access as next car game, but I started over on console. And now they’re teasing a proper nextgen version for $10, but can’t promise that your progression from the old version stays intact.
So now what? Should I stop playing on console for now? Maybe wait for the PC update? Or is your progression lost there too? I don’t know how to react here or what version to wait for or if it’s worth waiting for.

I am fairly certain that you at least going to have different Store id, so there bound to be some issues. Because at payed terms, it cannot be Smart Delivery for example.
