Same GPU and resolution here, are you trying for 60fps? Is that why you turned RT shadows off?

I'm personally fine with anything above 45fps JUST for the advanced graphics.
i just think rt shadows are a fucking waste lol. hell, shadows in general. i put them all to high.

Played for about 10 hours so far. Playing on my laptop and it runs and looks very good. Ultra with raytracing @ 1080p. Only real bugs I've encountered are the occasional UI bug... which are annoying but hardly a deal breaker.
Can't stop ogling Judy. Sucks Male V doesn't get any decent romance options.

As predicted, Europe's on Steam now -- and it's close to 1M concurrent CP77 players again. Just off by 65k right now.
Impossible to say if CP77 has a shot at the top 3 most played ever, since currently, it's got to garner like 320k concurrent players to beat the current 3rd, Dota2; but it might. (Sort by "All-time Peak".)

Edit: Assuming concurrent players count keeps growing by 6k every 5 minutes, which is what it's doing now, Dota2 would be beaten in about 4.5 hours. It's unrealistic to expect a stable trend for like 5 hours of course; but it could happen.

After all I managed to start the game. Gog version. Not sure what was the problem, could be even Asus gpu tweak. Or something else. Anyway I have two saves with corpo and nomad intro started, I will try once again to put some effort into character creation for a change.

Performance on rx6800 is all over the place from 30+ to 70 fps. High preset and 3440x1440p. Will see how it is when I get to night city.

My CE just arrived and they honestly forgot to include one part of the statue. The base and the bike are there, but V is missing.
I never witnessed such a case and am incredibly disappointed. This killed all my hype for the game, especially with the support only reacting with a "Huh, we never had something like this. How do we know you didn't just hide it somewhere?".

ooh man that sucks ass! Holy shit.. Cant imagine getting all excited for the package to arrive only for that to happen. do tripple check the box and contact CDPR. The place you bought it from might not have any CE anymore

Sadly in Germany I have to contact Bandai Namco - and you could just feel the person on the other side of the phone wasn't into anything gaming related at all and had a hard time even understanding what my problem was.
But yeah, bought it from Amazon and sadly this is like the first place everyone who wanted to buy one went to virtually.

That's some shitty support, wow :messenger_grimmacing_

Sadly I can't contact CDPR directly about that. I'm sure they'd be much more supportive. But Bandai Namco... no way.

Absolutely loving the game. Played like 5-6 hours straight. There were like 2 messy situations in terms of performance, both related to missions but nothing too bad. I'm so glad we got a patched out version.

The game is addictive as hell. The writing is at witcher 3 level. There's alot of depth to all characters and the story for each mission. There are many ways to go about things and it's exactly like witcher where you have to think before making every move.

The current mission I'm on (early on), I can't trust any of the two parties. And ever since I closed the game, I have been thinking which way to go about it.

Try increasing the deadzone in the options. Stick drift is a problem, that is caused by a too narrow deadzone, increasing it might be a solution for you.
I did, to the max, from the settings menu on the start screen.

I still got the scrolling on that same menu.

Its weird. I’m just starting playing so I don’t know how much of an issue it’ll be, but it did suck horribly for character creation.

Spent two hours in the creation menu. Chose corpo lifepath but I'm not sure I'm feeling the story. Thinking of taking the nomad path instead, corpo feels like you're playing a character that's already been through a decent amount of playtime, hard to explain. It feels like you just joined a game halfway through. Maybe nomad will feel more like a "start"?

I played through all three paths and felt like they put the most effort into nomad, however its only about 30 minutes of unique gameplay/story, then its the same either way for everyone

I was also disappointed that I'm apparently already a close friend to Jackie in corpo path. I'd much rather go through initial introduction and build-up of friendship.

Jesus. I feel afraid for mine now. Hopefully, the quality issues aren't widespread and they are able to get to yours swiftly. I believe for The Witcher 3, buyers had to go to the official forum just to make a request.

I used the New Zealand trick on Series X to play the game 12 hours earlier than my time zone would allow. 12+ hours of gameplay later, I can already say that this is a very special game. I have never played anything of the sort, and it's not even a compliment or a criticism: there's simply no games like this around. The Witcher 3, Watch_Dogs, The Division, Borderlands, Skyrim - they all share similarities for sure, but Cyberpunk 2077 is its own breed of videogame, and I appreciate that.

At first I was... fairly unimpressed, actually. The graphics looked incredibly blurry and poorly detailed, turns out the performance mode of the game is just incredibly toned down. While I always opt for 60fps where possible, the trade-off here is simply not worth it. Everything looks muddy, there's no shadows, lights and smokes are flat as hell, people look like they're made of plastic. I wasn't gonna play a 30fps game anytime soon this generation, but the gap between the two modes' look here is too damn high. DIRT 5 and Valhalla looked fine in the higher framerate mode, this game does not. That should be fixed.

When I went for the graphics mode and got used to the lost "art" of 30fps, things started to click. The game's world is marvelous. Characters are varied and cool. I must have spent at least half an hour in photo mode by now. While the default poses are a bit wacky, you can make some incredible stills in this game's world that just invites you to create magnificient stills. And like Valhalla, much of the experience is that: looking, exploring, absorbing what this digital world has to offer. The fact you can interact with nearly anybody (even if with pre-packed convos most of the time), that there's so much interactivity and animated billboards - it's all so lively and cool.

The RPG aspect seems pretty deep already, but at the same time, it feels somewhat superfluous at times. Pushing towards more effective stealth and better interactions with the world in the form of hacking, forcing or talking is great, but once a firefight erupts, it all kinda becomes irrelevant: you're hugging covers and shooting at braindead enemies with giant healthbars like it's The Division. It's not a bad thing in itself because the first person shooter module is solid enough, but for how deep and varied the rest of the game feels, this one element seemed a bit too standard. It's enjoyable enough to go on however.

What's a bigger issue right now is the glitches. Sometimes objectives glitch out. I encountered several freezes where the game stalled for 10-15 seconds, sometimes even during a fight, once even two times in a row separated by a frame or two. Characters walk through me, they disappear into the ground, a lot of loot can't be picked up as it falls into other objects, I once died jumping from 3 meters high on full health, controls can be wonky, exiting photo mode "locks" the button you were pressing prior, and so on. There's a lot to fix. Nothing gamebreaking, but it's certainly one of the most glitchy high quality triple-A games in a while. Seems like a Bethesda game, though at least the saves seem to be working fine.

The last bullet point I'd touch on is loot. It feels excessive. I'm a bit of an OCD guy in games as I Iike to pick up everything. Well, every enemy drops a weapon. Sometimes clothes and other items. Every room has like 4-5 things you can interact with, maybe more. And at the end of the day, 99% of what you find is salvaged, sold, because once you find a good item that you mod it's probably not gonna be a random weapon on the ground that's gonna change your life. Sure, the solution is not picking everything up you might say. But the loot game, in general, feels fairly unimpressive in that sense, as I keep finding the exact same items all the time with barely any difference in stats. Oh well, at least it's giving me badass clothes.

I focused on a lot of negatives, but it's only because this game is hyped as hell and one of the biggest releases in gaming history. It's a great game with touches of brilliance all over the place, and the first 12 hours on day one flew for me. I do want to see some large fixes and performance upgrades though, because the game does feel a bit close to a beta often. But a Cyberpunk 2077 "beta" is still superior to most games released in the last years, so...
I have it on Series X. I don't recall an option for performance or quality. Where is that option?

People are holding onto these bugs, because there isn’t much to criticize the actual game about.

True but how am I supposed to enjoy the game in it´s current state on a base console?!? It´s impossible. The framerate tanks worse than it did at days gone´s launch. It keeps crashing and while shooting the lagg makes aiming sometimes impossible....

Loving it!

But game is buggy for sure. Crashed on me twice even. But the save points are pretty generous.

When its working good, its my dream game!

Just reading The World of Cyberpunk 2077 and listening to Commander Jersey's 24/7 Kirby music on Youtube while I wait for my game to come in...

Something I havent heard mentioned yet, but have you guys noticed the loading times, or lack thereof?

I'm loading games in like 2 seconds. I was expecting gta v levels of load times, but they are super quick here.

And I don't even have the game installed on my nvme. Its a 870 evo ssd.

I said this in a previous thread, but you are on a base PS4, a machine that is close to a decade old. At some point you have to upgrade.

So I've got no chance of actually keeping up with this thread so I'll just post and watch notifications. I went Nomad, in the end it was more my style. From the get-go the foliage was rendering over the top of everything else. PC, 1660 Super. The renderer is bugged to fuck. Got in a quick half hour before work. Climbed a tower, thought I was playing Far Cry. I hope it gets better.

Solved. It turns out updating the NVidia driver is vitally important. I've turned everything to max bar annoying shit like depth of field and chromatic aberation and the visuals now look pretty sweet. Still early in the game, just got to my apartment (doing half hour here and there while pretending to work) so I'm still on-rails but the current feeling is that while the city is lovely and pretty, it's just window dressing. We'll see how it pans out but I'm getting far too much Ubigame vibe from this.
