XSX

- Most powerful console ever, 25TF (a minimum of 40 fps, it's math)
- Fastest SSD (VA offers 2.5x multiplier, effective 18GB/s, plus efficiencies around PRT and VRS, so it's like 36GB or more)
- Smart Delivery (it installs the best version for your system, no questions asked, no additional money like phony)
- 120fps with Ray Tracing at up to 8k (if developers are not lazy)
- Dolby3D, amazing sound and compatible with all your speakers, no need for proprietary shit
- Proprietary expansion card, to ensure maximum compatibility (and much better than opening your console every day to switch the SSD)
Joke post?

Tis.

Given the price shown here, I expect this is just an external SSD drive to use as storage expansion. If so, it will only work for PS4 games, or to STORE PS5 games (you would have to copy them back to the internal SSD to play them).

If it's an internal drive, you're right that the main storage is soldered in and you can't touch it, but there is an expansion slot that can be used to extend the internal storage and that will work to run PS5 games as well. MAYBE this price is right for a 500GB drive like that....but I think it's probably an external drive instead.

The typical SSD that would work for internal storage (though we don't yet know officially as Sony hasn't released an official list) is about $250 for a 1TB drive. Again, we have to wait to hear from Sony what their recommendations will be to expand internal storage.

That's almost in line with the Wester Digital Price of $150 for the internal. It might be.

i mean this can't be right, i mean that's pretty disgusting if it is, that's a whole 30 fps, surely it's a typo/misprint.

Just imagine it is not though, wow, i would be fucking livid if i bought an xbox and that was the case.
Imagine that guy tweet about Xbox running at 60+ fps than PS5 if that happens.

Dealer or something like that.

The more the days tick by, the more I believe that Boost Mode is a very basic package and not worth talking about very much.

I think Microsoft has the advantage here with BC(even though it shouldn't be your primary selling point). They have robust options, upgrades and features many without patches(I think?)

It feels like the PS5 Boost Mode will be akin to the PS2 where you could adjust like..2 things for PS1 games. Subtle boosts, nothing to write home about.

You get 99.9% compatibility, but the trade is you're not going to get very much in enhancements for those PS4 titles without true patches.

It is too bad that HipHop's famous "Remastering Engine" was not to be, because it really would have been nice as it was described, had full BC been implemented.

But that's okay. One of the best features of newer consoles is there is always room for improvements and upgrades via firmware, unlike the olden days.

He will just brush over it or hit back with the usual, it's the developers that suck.

But yer reading back up, AeneaGames AeneaGames and my man geordiemp geordiemp made some good points in terms of being perhaps 5 or 10 short of 60 fps for 4k, so they capped it at 30 so its smooth, this could be the issue. Maybe all those cash scrubbers and custom silicone that Mark Cerny hints about are making up the difference.

We should get some clarification in the next few weeks so not long to wait but yer, it will be devastating if it's true. and if it is it will be the first of many.

Why? No matter how many boxes Sony is able to put out, the ps5 will be sold out anyways.

MAYBE during holidays season....
Agree, good pacing is everything now.... wait till momentum goes down a bit and then release a big exclusive trailer. Then...hopefully eventually the GTA6 exclusive to hammer things home.

I'd say we better wait for Sega to confirm this, it just doesn't make sense to have double the freaking framerate.
If it turns out to be true... hell's gonna break loose.

Double the framerate at locked 4k!!!!! 4x the pixels at more than 2x the frame rate!

This game will not be locked 4k at 60 on PS5 or Series X. I imagine the PC version will also have trouble

There is not much difference for last gen games, ps5 or XSX will boost performance on games that are not capped or can be patched.

It remains to be seen which console boosts better.

I have auto HDR on my TV, its a TV setting, dont like it as its over saturation for fake hDR, so thats pointless as its a TV setting.

XSX benenfit comes from older retro stuff from x360 and older. If you are a reto gamer maybe.

I already ahve this on my LG TV, HDR effect does the same thing.

On my LG OLED (turned off) - its like giving the kids the controller and they get carried away with the contrast and brightness settings.

Its a TV setting FFS, over saturation is straining.
I doubt your TV has a GPU in it running ML for auto HDR lol

who is Robert Lewandowski and y does he own a ps5.............and i dont
Famous-ish footballer. I remember him from his stint at Bayern. I assume he only bought a controller, and doesn't actually have a console. Then again, he does have almost 20M followers on IG, so might further my theory that Sony's marketing plan might be to bypass the YT gaming community in favor of social media celebs like Travis Scott and Lewy here.

EDIT: Looks like he's still with Bayern.

Oh does LG also use Microsoft's proprietary algorithm for this?

Don't be so salty, trying to downplay a feature that all media outlets were positive about. Even experts like EvilBoris called it a game changer.

There's no question, the quality of Arkham Knight's image is boosted with Auto HDR enabled. I ended up playing for hours like this - and while yes, it's still peaking at 1080p and 30fps on Series X - as was the limit on base Xbox One, the colours have far more pop. Rocksteady's work here is a unique case though. Clearly the game's colour palette helps; having a city set in perpetual night means HDR highlights are easy to define - on sparks from the batmobile, explosions, or shop signs. The aesthetic is consistent across the length of the game, making it easier for an algorithm to work in post.

1080p 30fps? Does AutoHDR so heavy? I know it's an AI algorithm in MS VM, that's include HDR in each frame without patch. But, strange.

I dont know if its EXACTLY the same algorithm, but works same way on LG TVs. Its a TV post processing effect on LG OLED.

It is not selective and saturates everything it thinks might be HDR, same as the MS version.

I dont like it, but maybe you will. Whatever.

But will it stroke my cock as I play?

It will, but only while you're on a video chat.

I'm excited about the new security features on the SSD the most though. It's set up now so that if you get good and high from smoking crack and decide to take your console in for repair...all the data is automatically fragged. That way when your junkie ass forgets to ever go back and GET the console, all your embarrassing video chat footage isn't at risk.

Remember what they say- A disk wipe per day, keeps the FBI away!

LOL, video even mentions LG HDR effect in the video, timestamped. You post aged about 4 seconds.
LOL that video doesn't say anything about the LG TV having an ML capable GPU in it LOL

LOL your LOL post aged about LOL 0 seconds LOL

You and I have no clue if the MS implementation is better than an LG TV's HDR Effect... and that 1 second mention of it in 1 video doesn't prove anything either. It could be better, or worse.. but its' likely to have far more power behind it and it's DOUBTFUL LG TV's are using a GPU with ML... and if it does have an ML capable processor it's probably less powerful than XSX.

Your post is basically like saying "LOL DLSS is just like my TV setting for upscaling!"

edit: I answered my own question, LG has a processor they call an "AI processor" with an unknown amount of power: https://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/alpha9-2019

So we just have no clue which is better or worse... but my guess would be an AMD GPU would have more processing power in a couple CUs than this thing.

It's not the same algorithm, this is a Microsoft developed ML model specifically refined for games. AKA it works much better.
