Sony isn't feeding FUD campaigns about it, but not allowing crossplay with PC/xbox is called "anti-consumer" by the green side (many games have crossplay with PC now). And in the same page, they're crying from PC cheaters and want xbox-console-only servers for online gaming.

Crossplay is meh because of this, many of my ps friends won't play warzone with me because I'm on pc. And I'm not gonna back to warzone on console, not updating my console again (another 200gig)

I think some games are ruined by crossplay, especially with cheaters. Rocket League is fine as I tried, didn't feel any advantage for PC over console. But shooter? PC will always have the upper hand, Predator has crossplay though on PS4.

They have a social responsibility. Even the pro consumer practices has a financial benefit in the end so it’s a win-win but some companies choose to be anti-consumer out of the gate because it is easier.

Xses isnt marketed as 4k system, but it's kind of weird that it cant run older gen games at 4k in the eyes if non-tech people.

Like if current gen console at 299-399€ can run these games, why 309,99€ next gen system cant, asks consumers.

I understand someone might want One X games for enhacements other than resolution. But this One X BC makes no sence to me. XSS is for people that do not have 4k tv’s or dont care for 4k. XSS is designed to play games for the next 6 years. Mainstream 4K tvs are already sub $300 and 1080 TVs are rarely sold.
XSS can play current gen games at 1440/1080, but it will be sub 1080p when real next gen games release. This console would make more sense with 6TFs and 12GB unified at 336GB/s for $349.

You're acting like the XSS will hold back this gen, but that's plain ridiculous. The only way it would hold back next-gen is if developers are going for 1440p on PS5/XSX. That's not what Microsoft is expecting, they expect native 4K. If that's what most devs will push for, there won't be an issue on the XSS.

Inxile was bought by Microsoft, and even that dev is saying it's more work according to you.

I can't think of any good reason for Xbox to not follow suit years ago. Unless, the department in Xbox that manage Gold is not the same department that manage microtransaction payments? I can imagine a silly situation where the Gold department does not want to lose their portion of revenue, making them look bad, just to let the micro-transaction department have more sales.

That is obviously speculation if not total fantasy. But i really do wonder how it is possible that Xbox would stick to a business decision tat technically makes less money for them?

XSS won't hold back games, but it will hold back game development. There's a difference there.

At the end of the day MS certification process needs to be ready to green lit XSS versions that don't hit the marketing bullets they set out, instead of forcing them to delay the game until they do.
