Based on this tease from Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions & Marketing at AMD
This. AMD drivers are fucking atrocious and make everyone who tries them run screaming back to Nvidia, even if they have to pay double. It’s a sad state of affairsAnd it's still going to be irrelevant until AMD learns to make competitive drivers, which is likely going to be never.
Wow, they're that bad? I haven't owned an AMD GPU for over ten years so I wouldn't know.This. AMD drivers are fucking atrocious and make everyone who tries them run screaming back to Nvidia, even if they have to pay double. It’s a sad state of affairs
The drivers. Can't you read?Wow, they're that bad? I haven't owned an AMD GPU for over ten years so I wouldn't know.
What's so bad about them?
Not true. llien says AMD>Nvidia. Haven't you seen the countless threads? I'd love to see what he thinks tomorrow, if they show their lineup finally.This. Dude, what's up with the attitude? The drivers. Can't you read?
My RX580 machine stutters on literally everything after latest driver update. Seems to be a common issue.polaris drivers (rx 400-500 series) were very solid. 5700/xt though are not good
Yeah:I never see anything like this on the Nvidia...
Unit wise, around 2:1.AMD GPU market share is so much lower than Nvidia.
Could someone be so kind as to point me to the what are the 'many?' issues with RDNA drivers... i havent looked much into this.
He was asking what's bad about the drivers. Can't you read? The drivers. Can't you read?
Dude, what's up with the attitude?
What's wrong with -the drivers-, are they that bad? That's what I meant.
No humor I guess. Chill. He was asking what's bad about the drivers. Can't you read?
Theres a thread already on this.
I think its Zen 3 reveal morrow, not Navi2.

i am using AMD for some time. No idea they have bad drivers till I read here.
Sony said no next-gen news this weekI actually think this may be talking about something PS5 related. There are rumours floating around about the 10th, not to mention that the Gold PS5 pre-order goes up tomorrow too.
They said no next gen news at todays event, not the whole week?Sony said no next-gen news this week
It's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Everyone acts as if the AMD graphics drivers will let your PC catch fire.Wow, they're that bad? I haven't owned an AMD GPU for over ten years so I wouldn't know.
What's so bad about them?
Edit: the drivers, that is. What's wrong with the drivers?
(I am using Nvidia right now, but used AMD before that for 5 years)
I always loved it when Nvidia fanboys, who have never used an AMD card in their lives, kept telling me how bad AMD drivers were whilst I was using an AMD card and AMD driver for many years with absolutely no driver issues at all. Pure insanity how stupid mouth propaganda spreads.
But like my computer science teacher always said : Basically all issues regarding a Computer ... sit in front of it.
Newest trend on /r/amd is 2-3 week old accs speaking about how insanely important DLSS upscaling is. RT, curiously, comes in as second.Nvidia probably pays a good amount of money to help spread these rumours. Wouldn't put it past them seeing their track record.
Sorry

Most people just stick with the brand. More than just being better is needed to make them switch. It needs to be overwhelmingly better. Fermi times is a good example of just how tall that wall is.drivers

This is what I am experiencing right now. The entire system hangs up as if the PCIe connection was breaking up. I have tried the same system with a 1080 Ti and it was perfectly fine, I tried multiple clean reinstallations of the drivers and it does not help.
I had all of the recent AMD cards, went from Fury X to Vega 64 to Radeon 7 to 5700 XT - most from Sapphire. Other than Fury X which was watercooled, all of them had issues with pretty much every driver update. I still buy their products to support the underdog (and they drop in value extremely quickly so it's easy to get them cheap on ebay), but I am not going to pretend that there are no issues.
The market share boost that AMD got a few years back stemmed mainly from mining, which can be easily proven looking at steam surveys.
This dude is hated by many, but once again I have to post this video. Everyone loves to slam him, but barely anyone can actually prove his points wrong. No one has been able to prove this video wrong. Most simply rely on avoidance
And this;
Everyone forgets all the times that nVidia released drivers that actually killed cards;
WARNING! NVIDIA 196.75 drivers can kill your graphics card
I'm getting a steady stream of reports in from NVIDIA users that the latest 196.75 drivers can cause severe cooling problems, even possibly resulting in the death of the hardware.www.zdnet.com

Anyone can play this game of "bad drivers".
Click the last link of that post, and tell me there isn't a constant flow if issues on nVidia's own forums regarding their own drivers. What a silly fanboy take indeed...What a silly fanboy take.
There's a massive difference between few and far between releases that have issues and having a consistently inferior driver suite, which is the problem AMD objectively has.
Imagine trying to support one's argument with a teletubbier's opinion.
