That title. :messenger_tears_of_joy: Tbh, I can’t help but feel a little like that.

Really cool new season, though. I think in terms of the designs and all the cool little abilities of the skins, this may actually be one of the best battle passes we’ve ever had. That, by far and away, is the thing I’ve had the most fun with.

I definitely like the new PoIs (X-Men giant robot thing graveyard is a highlight), and adaptation of the boss/mythic system to give us Marvel characters and powers on the map. I just want... more? As of right now, things feel a little lacking. Between the water going away so quickly, and the lack of new things, I feel a little burnt out on this very similar Season 1/2 map that we’ve seen so much of.

But, seeing that a whole small section of the Marvel world got rifted into Homely, and that the storyline is apparently going to be an active, ongoing thing, I have hope for a lot more to happen.

Btw, the Stark rifle is basically a super-powered Infantry Rifle when aiming, and may be hands down the best AR in the game. I expected more stormtrooper rifle nonsense. I was shocked, to say the least.

In fact, everything about the Quinnjet landing spots is cool. Hacking the Stark robots so that you can have a squad, in single-player (!), is kind of nuts. And of course, having them rush the Battle Bus in flight is beyond awesome.

Lol, last season was the first season I didn't get a victory umbrella. Only played it for a couple hours max. So I'm thinking..."Well, I'm probably done with Fortnite. Every great game must come to an end. 2,000+ hours. 500+ VRs. Goodbye Fortnite."

Today, I played 3 hours straight dropping in Dooms Pleasant Park trying to get his two gauntlets. Game is filled with so many fun WTF moments.

Yeah, I’ve been here, lol.

I think the biggest secret of this game, with how addictive it is, is that giving it a break will bring all the magic right back. Last holiday got busy for me, and after two months of not playing it, I realized all over again how much fun it was.

I....um... :lollipop_downcast_sweat:
I went a bit Fortnite crazy this past couple of days.

Although I did buy the first 25 tiers with the season pass...I'm already at level 110 and using the amazing looking "silver foil" She-Hulk skin until I can get that awesome alternate costume for Mystique.

Fortnite skins are looking better and better all the time, and the game has never looked more beautiful. Playing on XBox One X...and it seems to have improved graphically this season with reflections, lighting, and shadows.

Screw all the haters. It's a gorgeous game that is still loads of fun.

Have a blast, everyone! :)

I feel much better about buying 4 Tiers to get all of Thor’s stuff now. :messenger_tears_of_joy: It’s definitely a Battle Pass that will tempt you to spend more, though. I haven’t skipped a tier for a very, very long time.

I know! I just couldn't help it this season! :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Herald Thor is an awesome skin- I'm sure you're gonna stomp the competition with him! 🌩

There’s a whole heap of Stark equipment surrounding Frenzy Farm. I wonder if they’re going to uncover it as Wakanda.

Do you mean those things beaming energy into the sky? They’re actually all around the whole Northeast of the island. No idea what’s going on there, but at the rate they’re changing, we’ll see something really soon?

Black Panther PoI (well, I should say landmark, for these smaller ones) today.

(Forgive the Reddit autism, but it was the best quick look I could find)

Are we seriously getting a new landmark every single day? At some point, this has to stop, right?

Shame it’s just landmarks and not town replacements. Seems a bit half-assed.

Am I crazy for mostly playing team rumble all the time?

Outside of couple challenges in solos and trying out crazy taxi. xD

Not at all. A bunch of people do this, from what I understand. I get it. It’s just really enjoyable and laid-back.

Fortnite’s mechanics are too much fun to just limit to a demanding 100 person elimination match. I’m not surprised TR has been so successful, and some play it exclusively.

Are there ever any plans on adding domination etc into the game? I hate battle royale, but are looking for a game that doesn't get yearly releases like cod.

Yeah solos is too stressful for me. I am not good enough to win, although last game I played I got second, but just wasn't smart enough with the last enemy, who also wasn't even really building.

And I like that in TR you respawn immediately, you don't get yanked out of the game like in other modes.

Does anyone have any tips and tricks for dealing with builders? Honestly the building aspect just annoys me.

I think the rocket launcher is gone from this season and possibly the flare gun too unfortunately.

Other than keep height, and go at them absolutely intensely, so they begin to freak out and human error comes into play, I really don’t.

As much as I love this game, building needed a serious rebalance (or really, any kind of balance) close to ten seasons ago.

I feel similarly. The amount of people turning into an impenetrable, internet speed dependent box the second a gunshot goes off, this season, made me decide to temporarily leave solos, and go to Halo 5. I can’t tell you how good it feels to just be able to actually shoot people without trying to coax a coward out of a box, while 98 others are around and can shoot you in the back.

I’d love to see some anti-box items added in Solos, as that would sort things really quickly, but I really do think they need to address the problem on a fundamental mechanical level.

Not that I know of. Right now, there’s just the standard selection of BR modes (single, duos, squads, ranked) and a ‘big team battle’ with respawns. Other modes rotate in for limited times, but they tend to be spins on the previously mentioned.

I’d love if that happened. The game is too fun to restrict to only a few modes of play, imo.

In other news

The Stark energy beam... things, are swirling around the Northeast part of the island in the coolest looking effect. Should we get ready for major changes?

Builders have been the bane of my existence for 2+ years now.

The helicopter in duos absolutely wrecks builders if you and your teammate are on the same page.

Otherwise camp, set ambushes up, use power weapons, and worst comes to worst...just let SBMM knock you down to the low skill lobbies.

The best method, and you probably already know this, is to pickaxe the wall out of a box, replace it, and edit through with a shotgun blast.

It’s one thing to say, and another to do, though. Not only is it ping dependent, you can easily get blasted in the face, have the person escape out the top (capping it with a cone beforehand seems to be a good idea), get shot by a third party, etc.

If you have someone to play with, running drills on it, and really committing it to muscle memory, might be a good idea.

Man, I wish Warzone was as creative with events as Fortnite. I don't mean Marvel events specifically, but the scale, sense of discovery etc. is great in Fortnite. In Warzone a building here or there is added, some get demolished etc.

It took a while for Fortnite to get there, so hopefully Warzone is similar for you guys. I think a big thing in their favor is a fantasy, colorful, whole different universe. That really opens up creative freedom to really bring wholly new ideas every season.

But then again, the old CoD BR had zombies in it, so there’s some leeway there too.

I think the biggest problem is the "dude-bro" mentality. They are afraid to spice up the game too much in order not to alienate the "mil-sim" fanbase. Fortunately, it seems that they are testing the waters lately with a lot of ridiculous skins so we might actually get to see some interesting additions to Warzone. Season 5 only added, so far, a train and interior for two buildings... :/
