The violence is nothing but "hey, we live in the cold cruel world where you have to kill to surive so deal with it" excuse card. Funny thing is that no other death equals to the death of Joel.

But theres more: it seems they have knowledge of all the death experiments. Abby father said that, thanks to Ellie, all the killing in their hands will be justified. Also, he didn't answer Marlene what would he do if it was his daughter. Abby even listen to that part lol

The fireflies has in their hands as much deaths as Joel, but somehow Joel is the one the game wants to paint as the ultimate evil, while not even Ellie want to go through the end of vengeance even though she has a lot of killing in her hands.

now we have a high definition video. IMO the golf part is easy. What get me was the cold blood shotgun fire on Joel leg. Dude, the game showed his flesh

There are so many parts, I guess everyone will get his one less favorite. Even the Jessie death is fast and so boring.

The first is one of my favorites ever, and unless they fuck up the gameplay severely (videos don’t seem to indicate this), I’m going to enjoy it. I suspect from the spoilers I’m going to be in stitches from the writing, but I’ll enjoy playing and exploring its world nonetheless.

We’ll see how it plays out, but I really hope the game doesn’t take a position on the ending of the first. They shouldn’t touch its ambiguity.

The writing in this game is so terrible.

I've said this so many times and I'll say it again. Identity politics are not interesting.
No offence to trans or gay people, but no one gives a shit about who/why/what you identify as, or who/what you like to fuck.
It is NOT interesting. It does NOT make good story telling.
This is especially the case when it is forcibly inserted into an already existing IP that has NOTHING to do with it, because it's clearly and obviously trying to drive through a message that no cares about.

This game is a perfect example. Try to sit through this video if you can. It's about the trans kid and his trans story. It's so FUCKING BORING and uninteresting.

It is hilarious how poorly written it is too. Just incredible that this game was allowed to be released. What was Sony thinking.

And thats not even getting into how that vaccine wouldn't sunddely rebuild the fabric of society that has been destroyed for 20 years. Best case scenario it would be used by them as a means of power.

I've read some tweets of a few LATAM journos saying that the game has the best story and narrative, I've seen the leaks and I don't think they even have played the game

Cool. Thank you Neil for inserting transgender identity politics in your zombie apocalypse game. That's what the first Last of Us game was missing.

Enjoy your game having almost none of the same impact on the industry and gamers the way the TLoU did, without Hailey Gross's writing carrying your sanctimonious ass. Enjoy having your game being an afterthought when Ghost of Tsushima and Cyberpunk 2077 come out, and people finish those games without feeling sick or miserable. Enjoy TLoU Part 3 not having nearly the same waves of hype as TLoU Part 2 did. Thank you for adding to the collection of things that have been ruined by shitty, pompous, self obsessed writers these past few years. There's a nice spot for the TLoU next to the likes of Star Wars, Star Trek, Mass Effect, and Game of Thrones. Because we can't have anything nice anymore.

Ellie point the gun for the two remaining Abby friends, Mel said she will give to her anyway because she believe Abby could be dead, Ellie get angry because she is not yet giving the location on the map she have, the other guy try to disarm Ellie, Ellie get the upper hand and shoot him on the chest, Mel get upset and fight with a knife over Ellie, Ellie disarm her and knife her. Before the other guy die he say she is pregnant. Ellie check, get crazy and puke.

So, Ellie kill the woman, his child and his dad.
