It’s a shame the big 250 had to come in the middle of this whole mess. I’m over the moon that the UFC successfully came back but I’d have hoped for a better card. Oh well. Will watch for O’Malley and Just Bleed Garbrandt

Sterling/Sandgaen is a great fight. Assuncao vs Garbrandt is a good fight. Spencer is too tough for her own good and is going to absorb hellish punishment from Nunes. The W145 division basically only existed for Cyborg and now only exists for Amanda to be a double champ.

Conor has turned into a straight bitch. He's trying to cherry pick the easiest fights to get back to a title. Calling out an old legend that has one foot out the door instead of fighting the young guys at the top of the division calling him out like Justin. Guess he didn't get his fill punching that old man at the bar.

I reckon he would. He seems to want to run the Khabib match back. I think he is choosy tho. I thought for as bad as Cowboy looked in their fight that Conor looked excellent. But, he didn’t really get tested so that performance unfortunately has a little *what if* next to it.

I think there is no easy road to a title for him tho. Honestly the easiest might even be Masvidal for the playground belt.

The idea of Conor vs Anderson Silva is just weird to me. I just...don't get it

Lol who floated that shit? Old Man Anderson is a gigantic MW/ smaller LHW who's lost his defining speed, reactions, and chin. Conor is a LW/gigantic featherweight who refuses to pick a division and take on all comers.

I get it from a "battle of weird striking styles" angle, but nothing else really makes sense. :messenger_grinning_squinting:

I feel like the Fight Night tomorrow is really flying under the radar. Maybe not the biggest anmes all around but that main event should be really interesting. Burns is beast. Will be curious to see how Woodley looks.

Andrade vs Rose 2 in works for Jul 11th

I think Rose takes the rematch. She was smashing Andrade until the slam

Reebok ending

wonder who initiated the split, UFC or Reebok? I can’t imagine Reebok made much money off it.

A lot of fighters had cool art/shirts/merch if their own before the deal, Reebok should have just partnered up with them (just slap a Reebok logo on the existing cool merch, get wider distribution for the fighter, collect a cut of the profits) instead of “fight kits” that no one bought

Good riddance. The Reebok deal was never good. Unfortunately I doubt if we go back to the controlled chaos wild-west days, but hopefully they can at least get a better deal with companies for more $$$ and more freedom for the fighters and their branding.

Would Jones vs Francis even do 1 million buys? It would do well, for sure, but a milly?

What does Jones make per fight, 5-8 mil range?

I doubt it would cross a million. But you never know. But Jones has had at least five PPVs go above 500k. Whereas Wilder apparently has only done that against Fury. UFC's own investor documents list Jones as one of their biggest stars. They just don't want to pay him like he's one.

Fuck bro, you want Jon dead? $30 mil worth of coke would stop his heart so damn fast. If he gets in this much trouble @ $500K disclosed per fight, imagine wtf he would do with "Fuck you" money? :messenger_fearful:

5 mil seems plenty good

If his whole basis is “I don‘t even make half of what Wilder makes” then it’s flawed from the jump. Dofferent sport, different hierarchy, different business models. If he wants to argue they he doesn’t make as much as Conor, that’s more sound. Aiming for 30mil a fight won’t happen. If I were him I’d be going for Conor’s ballpark. He will still come up short but maybe get a pump up to 9ish mil per fight

probably doesn't want to set a precedent then jones will expect that amount in his future fights. its not even for a belt and ngannou hasn't even won the belt in his division thats not a super fight wouldn't pay to watch it. id pay for stipe vs jones though and maybe ngannou vs. cormier.

edit:

daaam look at these punches

Jones Ngannou might be a draw if he hadn’t lost to Stipe already. Jones should man up and try to fight Stipe
Tbh I'd rather see Jones vs Ngannou than Stipe. Stipe really didn't look good in his last fight, he even said watching the fight back he didn't even know who that was.

Not to mention that Conor's estimated $$$ woulda had to come from the Mayweather fight. He made $3 mil disclosed for his last fight. If he got more than that, I don't know what the figure is. Most bigger name fighters get more than what is disclosed, including Jones.
