500.Playstation always delivers on the games front, and their first party studios are better than ever (maybe ND is having a bit of a stumble, but that can be fixed). The only thing to worry about is the price of the console imo.
Messaging was wrong for the X, it was a 3rd party showcase. Xbox will be in July. This is what we want - GAMES.
I just hope they live up to this statement. We saw what happens when you overpromise and underdeliver with that "next-gen world Gameplay reveal" on Series X.
Just like when they showed CGI trailers with the PS4 announcement, right?Meh, with their first party studios i dont expect anything revelatory in the gameplay department

Man you know it's going to be a mix of both gameplay trailers and cinematic trailers, so long as it's more of the former.Best all be gameplay
Oh hell yeah! None of this cross gen stuff like Xbox is doing.
PS5 gonna deliver!
I wish many more people realised that...Fool me once it's on you, fool me twice it's on me
It would be enough to blow up the internetBloodborne 2 and I will Pale Blood all over the screen!
Fool me once it's on you, fool me twice it's on me - 2013 was suppose to be THE best launch lineup in Playstation history, and what we actually got was Knack, TO1886, KZ:SF, and inFamous:SS, with no games throughout next 3 years except indie ports and cross-gen titles... I know people have very short memory and already forgot about it but I didn't, all their E3, GC, TGS presentations are still there in case anyone needs a reminder.
They have very little studios, with extremely long development times, and most of their 1st party games for PS4 have been released just a year or two ago, or are still yet to be released (TLoU2 and GoT), so who's left with enough time make those launch games? I can see them being able to pull out again 3-4 titles, but if they are the same as PS4 launch games, rushed, with nice graphics but poor gameplay and little to no plot than meh, couldn't care less.
The only way I can see Sony securing a really strong launch lineup is by buying 1 year exclusivity for some 3rd party titles, it's a popular solution, it doesn't hurt anyone in the long term, but that one year makes all the difference. Or financing exclusive titles made by independent studios, like it used to be the deal with Insomniac for example.
Unless they want to continue their tradition of showing CGI teasers of games that won't appear ever again for the next 5 years or so, but Ryan promised they learned their lesson.
Time will tell as always, but I cannot give them any credit given their handling of current generation.
Holy shit that was bad. Can't wait for Soony to become Nowwy. Hopefully I'm not getting overhyped, but I feel like they are gonna show some
Games, why? Nobody cares about those.
What is the source for that GIF? 1080p YouTube version would be great.

They never said you were going to play the games the next day. If that was your expectation then it was your fault. Big AAA games take time to be made but at least Sony has shown many times that they are commited and they will release the games that they show unlike MS with their empty promises and their lies. Please go and watch MS's E3 2014 and see how many games got canceled (Fable Legends,Phantom Dust,Scalebound). So who is the lying and manipulative one? At least Sony gets to release the games they show.Unless they want to continue their tradition of showing CGI teasers of games that won't appear ever again for the next 5 years or so, but Ryan promised they learned their lesson.
yeah soon which means June, like we didn't knew that already
No idea, tenor i think. Just did a quick google search. What is the source for that GIF? 1080p YouTube version would be great.

The games they've given the fans this gen have been great on the whole I don't get why you think they haven't done things right this gen or that you have no faith in thier studios because there first party output is without question the best in the biz like it has been for awhile ... I never worry about games with sony you get alot more every gen than you do with the other company .
I could go on and on with what Sony did wrong this gen from start to finish, but that's not the subject of the topic, and I don't want to spam it with wall of text type of posts, so let's cut just to the games - they make just one type of games. Is it right, is it wrong, depends on the point of view. For them it obviously works, so I cannot blame them on focusing more and more on them, while abandoning other genres they're not good at, they even made a unified logo for their studios recently, to brand the experience they create. And it's all fine, especially if you're really, really into those kind of games, but what of you want to take a break and play something different? Or are not into those kind of games at all? What's the value proposition? There is none.
I'd really like to know what happened during PS3 to PS4 transition, because back in PSX, PS2 and PS3 times it didn't matter what kind of games you liked, what were you favourite genres, Sony got you covered, you could always go in blindly and count on them, and they always delivered, and suddenly, when PS4 arrived, someone decided to sell/close most of the studios and tell to the remaining ones "OK guys, listen up, from now on we're making nothing else but UC2 clones, understood? Except you Kaz, you can keep making GT"... They seriously lack variety like they used to have in the past two decades, now they are no different than Ubisoft, where no matter which title you pick they all play mare or less the same.
Maybe something will change with Hermen Hulst at the steering wheel, but that's yet to be seen.

I'm not even sure why you take him seriously at this point? Yes many of Sony's 1st party exclusives have been very cinematic but they were also offering the best portfolio variety of any other platform holder this gen when combining both 1st party as well as 3rd party exclusives. A variety of games like Gravity Rush,Bloodborne,Tearaway Unfolded,Nier Automata,The Last Guardian,Yakuza series,Nioh,Dreams the list goes on and on. The only people who say that "Sony's portfolio doesn't have variety" are jealous MS fanboys.Times have changed. That's all there's to it.
PS4 sales reflect that. It's tracking PS2, the best-selling console ever.
Whether or not people like the current gaming landscape, Sony has been adapting to it very well and with great success.
I don't even know what exactly it is you think they screwed up on?
I think you are wrong on this one, the biggest team inside Sony Japan it's the Siren/GR team, and their last game was in 2017, so they have already 3 years of silence. I bet they are working on a horror tittle if we take into consideration Keichiro Toyama's interviews after GR2.My bet:
-Cool small game from Sony Japan, probably Astrobot related: major drama because many people believed fake insider rumors and it isn't Silent Hill or Bloodborne 2.
Is this from some anime?Let's see if your words equal your actions.
Tired of promises already. It's Time to show your cards.

Out of the 600 people credited in GR2, around 100+ people also worked on The Tomorrow Children, The Last Guardian, Knack II, Everybody's Golf and Bloodborne. Around 70 of them worked on both Gravity Rush 1, Gravity Rush Remastered, Knack and Déraciné (maybe this was the horror game he was talking about).I think you are wrong on this one, the biggest team inside Sony Japan it's the Siren/GR team, and their last game was in 2017, so they have already 3 years of silence. Yeah, I agree with you about how PS4's launch window titles (Knack, Killzone and inFAMOUS) were a big disappointment, but not with the rest; during the first three years since launch, Sony released games such as DriveClub, The Order 1886 (which I really enjoyed), Bloodborne, Until Dawn, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian, in addition to great smaller-scale projects such as Resogun, Helldivers and Alienation, plus the console exclusive Street Fighter V. Most of them are games fondly remembered by the community.Fool me once it's on you, fool me twice it's on me - 2013 was suppose to be THE best launch lineup in Playstation history, and what we actually got was Knack, TO1886, KZ:SF, and inFamous:SS, with no games throughout next 3 years except indie ports and cross-gen titles... Setting yourself up for loads of disappointment.
A demo like that will be a benchmark to aim at for upcoming games, not something we will see the first wave of games surpass IMO
So what you're telling me is that all of these games play alike??

Days Gone
Driveclub
Ratchet and Clank
Alienation
Dreams
Wipeout
Gravity Rush 2
God of War
Tearaway
Spider-man
