Can't wait to see this game. Part 1 is one of my favorite and most played games of this Gen. Also, keep Alloy aloof like she was in the first game. Her gently turning down all suitors was one of the better parts of the first game. The game also doesn't need to be dragged down by romance since nobody in the west has ever done that well.

You're entitled to your views but you must realize that you are wayyy out on your own here and 95%+ of people loved the game if they actually played it.....
I have 3 Switches and I got more entertainment hours out of Horizon than BOTW.... BOTW used all the character designs and enemy designs dating back to the earliest Zelda games, Horizon started from scratch.
Combat is the heart of most games and if you understand all you can do, all the options in HZD...you will start to understand how awesome it is...... layered between traps, debuffs, elemental weaknesses, bindings, detachable weapons on enemies, weak points and armor. You can also get some robots and npcs to fight eachother or just stumble upon a random skirmish.
The robot / enemy design is a revolution in games, when did we ever have a moving enemy that was so massive and had so much offensive capability??? Maybe one Metal Gear???? You can have 3 or 4 monsters that size attacking you at a time in HZD.
Movement was great and very fluid...dunno what your issue is here
Side quests...had some great ones but most were forgettable...but this is the first game, not The Witcher 3.....
by the way Witcher 3 had pretty underwhelming combat and movement wasn't anything impressive either, don't hear you complain about that!?!? (and I have a lot of hours in the Witcher 3)

God of War was so obviously a souls game you need to be completely clueless to think that it’s not.
The differences are few, just different spins on leveling. But the core combat is exactly souls as well as how it punishes.
God of War is a much as a souls game as Bloodborne, Nioh, Sekiro, the surge, darksiders 3... the list goes on and on and God of War is just another spin on it.

You have shields in Souls. You do not in Bloodborne. Surface level difference. Still the same game.
Yes god of war was a more player friendly souls game and the best souls game not from from software.
Darksiders 3 is similar. Still a souls copycat.

And i would argue that hzd has good combat cuz if anything is wrong or bad in this game is the combat.
Combat is broken and you can take down any enemy by just spamming jump and shoot as it always slows down everything.
I dont know how it launched right next to acorigins as this game came out in february and origins in october so 8 months after horizon zero dawn.

The GDS talk with the developers seemed like they realized the issues they had with the first game. Melee, Side mission, NPC Etc.
Flesh out the combat and everything with the first. Make a great story, Add some new shit and you’re gonna have an even more amazing game

I loved this game. The combat was so satisfying. At first I was worried about all the mechanics and taking on that first big baddie. But eventually I was running around crafting arrows and taking on multiple baddies at once. That ramp up of my own abilities in a game Is rare.

This is great news. It seems like they’re going to turn this game into PlayStation’s Monster Hunter.
But one thing I hope is the co-op mode is separate from the main story. This game though is perfect for its own open-world co-op survival type of thing, let’s see what happens!
This also probably means that Guerrilla’s multiplayer game being worked on by slarouche is indeed for a Horizon (co-op) multiplayer game. That this point they want to go all-in on Horizon so I doubt they’re working on another Killzone. Especially when Sony San Diego is already rumored to be working on a shooter.

The world of Horizon Zero Dawn was big enough, with just the right amount of side collectables. I thought anyway. Not at all surprised if they're going down the 'bigger is better' road though. Seems like pretty much nobody can resist that temptation.

To me, yep. When they came Co op in it usually ruins single player. No more story and enter boring generic missions and micro transactions. I play to escape people not to socialize. If I wanted to do that there are dedicated non story games like risk of rain 2, cod or diablo for that.

Ps1 classic $20 and a USB stick and a few minute install, then add all the ps1 games you want. Or get a vita/psp used and you can load them with ps1 games.
