Remember XBSEX will be "the most powerful" next-gen console and it is very foolish to assume that with all that studio acquisition there will be no AAA games.
We're ONLY discussing information provided publicly by Microsoft employees. I haven't seen anyone here claim they have insider knowledge, either to support or deny that information. If those Microsoft employees aren't mad or stupid to speak publicly false about their own employer, this is the reality of Microsoft Game Studios for the next few years and, as a gamer, I don't see it compelling.
I am not a fanboy but I get very annoyed when people throw sh*t around and trying to create narratives that are matching their preferences.
That's exactly what you're doing.

Of course, ONLY ONE hired employee guarantees that it is AAAA

Only ONE....was an example, there are lots more hired/being hired...

With both sony and Microsoft putting out statements about software possibly being delayed i think some (all?) next gen software could be delayed. Id say this would hurt Microsoft more since they were banking hard on halo infinite reviving the xbox brand at launch. Id say sony would slightly ahead only because of backwards compatibility (Assuming it works lol) and strong games line up this year. Assuming the systems themselves dont get delayed.

In my opinion we won´t see a world wide simultaneous release of these consoles, even if the manufactures are able to produce the amount needed. We all don´t know how long this corona virus will go on and if it wil go on for month (which could happen, but I hope it won´t), we might even don´t see any new console this year.

Also keep in mind, that Sony and Microsoft order their amount of consoles in regards of a working economy and how many money people are able to spend, but at the moment it seems that we will hit a recession pretty soon and pretty hard

The discussion is based on part of what M Booty said, on purpose taken out of context, and SDF just runs with it...if anyone would bother to listen to the whole recording they would hear him saying that these AA games are in order to fill time in between the AAA releases. What is so hard to understand in that?

And nope, I am not doing that, I am not reaching, I have provided multiple posts on the last couple of pages challenging the narrative that there will be no AAA games coming from MS Xbox Studios. There are notes on official dev. sites telling people that they are working on AAA games, there are recruitment ads looking for people to work on these AAA projects, but still, SDF is trying to force their narrative that there will not be AAA games from MS Studios. LOL. So where am I reaching? It is obvious that some people are simply trolling and others are creating their own version of reality where their plastic is the only place one can play great games....but seriously, should we all just go along with that?

I agree, but get really dissapointed by the amount of bug. Get me by surprise. Days Gone even turn off my PS4.

I don't expect this type of quality from Sony studio. Was really embarrassing.
I want the sequel, but not this kind of quality.

Damn those types of things never happened to me. The most I got was floating off my bike once or twice lol. I wasnt day one buyer and got it after all the patches so maybe thts why.

Thy just needed more time baking it and I don't blame the devs for tht but deadline pushes. I'm positive tht sequel which i earnestly want (mind u I have platinum in days gone thts how much I e joyed it) won't have those issues. Thy better get the ice team to polish tht sequel too.

I wonder how many makes an Xbox Series X :pie_thinking:
software and hardware advancements of GPUs during the years.

Well easy, the site does a very simple calculation just with TFs, so just add like 17% more to 1600 and you got SeX. Of course, it's a very simple way of putting this, as SeX has 40% ish more CUs but 20% ish less clocks speed, TFs are just an average basically.
I don't understand your second line honestly.

So we'll have next Forza and Halo, the Initiative game in 3-4 years and possibly new Gears in a similar time frame (maybe a bit earlier). Maybe one or two more games, possibly RPGs. Do you think it'll be enough to push very expensive console which XSX will be? Sony is releasing 2 first-party games this half of the year alone. How do you think Microsoft can keep up? They need some incentive to sell their very fast, very expensive new hardware to consumers. With what's happening with global economy right now, the decision "I'll get both" will be a tiny minority of customers.

Just some advice, running around calling people SDF really doesn’t help your argument.

Forgot (variable frequency) in there, officially from sony :messenger_grinning_squinting:

You don't need to imagine, just look what was done with a 1.8TF PS4, 2.9TF gap is a console of it's own :messenger_winking: .
Variable frequencies which we know nothing about expept it's not depending on heat but power consumption, which is determinable and not the heat throttle half the world rumble about understanding shit. The console is not 9.2 UNTIL proven otherwise, because the system is not a heat-based PC standard.
The difference is around 2 TF, which yeah is more than one PS4, but diminishing returns are a thing, ya know? When the power scale is so big each gen, every next gen consoles unless basically identical has like "one old gen" console difference which means nothing, unless few fps or pixels are a big deal now. The ACTUAL DIFFERENCE is 15-20%, percentage is the correct way of looking at it because it takes into account proportions, while you don't because you want to believe SeX is so superior because "one PS4 more bro".
I honestly can't bare people stretching facts, here I lose my politeness.

It's so funny that people are gonna be playing their XSXes and be thinking "Wow, I'm looking at a WHOLE PS4 worth of extra powah right now"

An interesting point in the above GameInformer video... that Sony probably need their own GamePass-style service. PS+ is good enough with its free monthly games, but I'm not a huge fan of it myself.

Sony could do a rotating library of 100 titles, a mix of indies, AA, AAA and every month 10 leave, and 10 get added. Devs get paid based on how much their game was played. It would be kinda like the Apple Arcade subscription model.

I think doesn't need that. Sony is already mixing Gamepass and streaming with PS Now with downloadable games and big temporary additions every month, also lowering the price. MS need to merge Xcloud and Gamepass in one package anyway, Sony is directly doing it.

Oh yeah. lol, I totally forgot you can download games on PSNow. They need to roll that shit into PS+.

Unfortunately no one know shit about the PS Now, I'm using it and it's great. This month I played Control and Wolfenstein 2, last month Uncharted Lost Legacy, they rotate big titles like gamepass but on a smaller scale I guess.
What? Control and W2 is on it? That's cool. Might try it when I move back to my other place with 1Gb Internet. Now I'm at home with fam and I've only got 20Mb :messenger_loudly_crying:.

I can't believe Sony just aren't pushing it more. They should integrate it in a way that lets all PS+ subscribers stream demos at the very least.

Every month is better and better, they keep adding big and small titles, Persona 5, Hollow Knight and Shadow of War were there a while ago. If the 20Mb is stable you should be fine, the min required is 5. Try it, there is a lot of stuff on it, don't ditch the smaller one. I played Vampyr and Prey there.

What's the maximum res it streams at? I thought I read somewhere the max is 720P?

While I wouldn't expect a new platform with new games I certainly wouldn't be averse to a budget "PSP Classic/Legacy" device that just lets you play an extensive digital library of PSP, PSVita, PS1, PS2 games with a PS Plus Add-on Sub for say £5.99/$7.99, is integrated with PSN, has an updated ui, connectivity and wireless standards; and is optimised for second screen/remote play with PS4/PS5.

I expect Sony could build a relatively cheap device and still make a profit at this point. It'd be a profitable little crowd pleaser.

Not a bad idea. But here's one question for that device. Will it be able to run modern day indie games?

I have a theory about why "horizon zero dawn" will be launched on pc, and I think it makes a lot of sense to think that guerrilla has its second part as a launch title. Since the strategy of selling more consoles making known the game to pc. Perhaps in the presentation for the public of ps5 show a trailer of the sequel making people who liked the first game think about buying the exclusive on ps5.

It has all the logic that it would be a sequel, but what is the purpose of making the pc version for that particular game

Yeah, I see I can Download Game or Stream Now through the Store. No icon on my home menu though Strange.
Try stream any game, then when it's on push the PS Button (do not keep pushing) and you will open a secondary menu, choose "browse games" and you should go directly to PS Now main menu.
From there at least the icon should appear on the main menu every time.

That's cool man, thanks. Streaming Control. Very cool, I'm really surprised how seamless and integrated everything is. It just works.
