I’m fine with Goldberg winning, he’s a huge star still. I guess they hope fans turn on him and cheer Roman winning at WM?

But lol at the art of a Goldberg match in 2020.

I'm just shocked by Goldberg beating the Fiend. It honestly feels like Vince is telling his long time audience to go to hell and watch something else because the company wants no part of us anymore. I don't expect them to make every decision based on what fans want to see that night. That would be dumb honestly. But having a mid 50 year old who cannot work, who cannot even perform one of his only two moves any longer (Jackhammer was horribly pathetic), easily beat the Fiend at this point just, just, just NO. You just buried your entire roster and arguably biggest attraction. SMH

Never was a fan of the fiend or Wyatt (as a singles wrestler). He just sucks in the ring. His matches blow dogs, and D Bry was totally carrying him.

Ill take Roman v Goldberg over Roman v Wyatt.

Though I would prefer a 4 way, Goldberg, Dbry, Roman, Wyatt (well no Roman but ya know BIG DAWG).

If anything I would send Roman to NXT and have him feud with Keith Lee. Now thats a match I would be into.

Wyatt's stuff (both the original Bray Wyatt character and now The Fiend) are cool and original at first but there's not really any substance there to maintain it over a long period.

I would disagree that the Fiend ran its course already, but that is not the main reason so many people are feeling WTF by his loss. The shock is that the Fiend has been greatly elevated, kicked out of finishers, etc. Having Goldberg show up and beat him in pathetic fashion (he can't even perform 1 of his only 2 moves any more the right way), literally buried everyone the Fiend has faced in the past several months. If they wanted to move on from him then by all means do that. Just do it the right way without burying the entire roster. Have someone cheat to win. Have someone who has credibility in 2020 win a tough match. Do anything other than have him get squashed by a part timer who is in his 50's and quite obviously not what he once was 20 -23 years ago.

Yeh I don't think The Fiend had totally lost steam in the way Wyatt had before he went away. But him under delivering in the ring had definitely taken some of the shine off of him. But yeh, for all the build he got I don't think Goldberg should have been the one to beat him.

I mean no surprise but Roman just gets a main event spot at WM. No rumble win or EC win needed. Beating corbin gets you a title match ?

I guess WWE spared us the faux drama of pretending someone else will get the ME spot. We knew its inevitable so might as well just give it to Roman now instead of dragging it out.

Big question is how many more Corbin matches can they put us through before WM. Corbin can still challenge Roman to put up his WM shot.

It will he super lame if GB loses the title after a short little reign just to give it to Roman. But i dont see anyway Reigns loses at WM. Man it would be great if we get 2 or 3 min GB squash of reigns.

But BiG DAWG aint losing thats not VINTAGE. And i am guessing Bryan will continue to fight jobbers? Will they have him beat barry horowitz on the pre show ? Cant wait to find out.

So how long till AEW sells out the Jags stadium ? I say within the next 12 months.

Yeah, that match was fucking incredible. I can’t wait for Revolution tonight. Should be a fantastic show.
you know what is great all the little things last year make sense now, how kenny was losing for a while etc. they couldn't just have them all come in and win everything they needed to lay some groundwork and I think this year is going to have the Bucks win the tag team, Kenny or Cody win the Title.
also noticed Kenny did a kamigoye, the bucks been talking about NJPW and ROH on AEW and Marty is posting a lot of TBT pics of him and the elite.

I hope/think something is brewing :)

Omega also used the rainmaker style ripcord into the V-Trigger. Interesting that he was using those moves. Hopefully it’s a hint there may be an AEW/NJPW breakthrough soon.

Yes I forgot about that. I would like to really hope it means something is going to happen. But let’s see. Next up is Matt hardy the exalted one ?

I do like how AEW are laying stories and call backs not just the usual of someone in my way beat them. Oh they back for more. Etc.

how Kenny and PAC aren’t just a simple rematch etc there is more two it story wise. in no way is AEW perfect but it’s getting really damn good.

It’s nice they take time and they allow stuff to develop. Watching dark the whole thing with cutler and spears walking off. Then uno whispering in cutlers ear. You know something is going to build from that.

look at the MJF angle how long it was going on for before AEW was a thing. If they can hit the right notes with the casual/new wrestling fan ( Watches only the TV etc) I can see AEW having a long shelf life.

actually watching old BTE online they might try and call back to the old storylines on Dynamite.

This whole recent apparent friction between the EVP’s could be like the bullet club is fine BTE show. Or it could be Kayfabe within the AEW universe to move things forward creatively.

Finally sat down to catch up on AEW, and holy shit I still can't stand Aubrey. She ruins every match she refs because I can't stand how over the top and noticeable her mannerisms are. I was told she had toned them down, but they're still just as annoying.

I don't think AEW and NJPW have anything going on. Still nothing there for NJPW to benefit from while AEW gains so much. Also all the EVP's basically screwed NJPW's US expansion. Elite and Kenny were supposed to spear head NJPW in USA and sell out areana's, instead they took NJPW's plan and started selling out arenas on their own.

Now AEW and ROH, I think thats going to happen. Scrull is probably the exalted one. Cobb was on AEW. So I think we will see ROH guys appearing in AEW.

I hope MJF wins tonight. Cody doesn't need the win he is over anyways and he isn't going to be fighting for a title. MJF could really use the win to propel himself up the card.

Also time to take the title off Jerhico. He doesn't need it and he has help establish the title. Mox shouldn't lose and its the right time as I think they can build up some good heels for him.

BAW GHAD I am becoming an AEW fan.

I couldn't stand that about this weeks Dynamite. They have a moving retard Full Sail crowd for fans. Chanting for the fucking ref? Seriously, neckbeards everywhere cheering cause some female ref likes to put ALL the spotlight on her

I'm with you on MJF. Cody is over because AEW fans are mostly just fanboys of him helping make AEW, he has no staying power as a main event player. MJF on the other hand is a dude every company would open the bank for. He needs this win to establish him as a major player, but there needs to be a better midcard build to give him something to do in the meantime. There is such a talent discrepancy in AEW with legit main eventers and everybody else right now.

As much as I'm over jericho as champ, I don't think Moxley is the guy who should take it off of him. I would love to see a debut tonight that costs Moxley the match that isn't associated with the inner circle (Can Brodie come yet?) and give Moxley a feud to move with. Their first champ was an over the hill ex-WWE guy. I think the guy that should eventually take the belt needs to be Omega, not another ex-WWE guy. They need their "own" guy to overcome the group and finally overtake the man who beat him first.

I've enjoyed some things AEW has done alot, and others I've hated. Omega/Bucks losing just to not put themselves over was dumb booking IMO, and needs to stop. These guys need to be the faces of the company because that's who people want to see, and that will make everybody more money in the long haul.

I could be wrong, but I think Jericho losing won't be until All in2 or out2, as that'll be their WM PPV. They need to introduce a midcard belt yesterday so that MJF has something to shoot for in the meantime. Stop this nonsense of another tag title (Trios), there are enough damn tag team matches as is with your small roster.

What I want tonight? A big debut (Lee or Hardy if they can yet (or both)). Some sort of building of a womens division, cause as is, it's worse then anything I've ever seen with womens wrestling, including the fucking Divas Era. Dude as a champ, 90 pd Japanese girls who don't speak the language or have a manager so no way to connect with the audience, and more green wrestlers then have any business being out there.

I could go for an Archer or Cage debut to take out Mox. Archer would make sense with NJPW connection.

MJF needs this win because so far he is a great talker but isn't backing it up in the ring. This can put him on the map.

And I agree about a mid card title. Bring back the TV title since Cody is so obsessed with WCW.

Bucks will probably take the titles tonight. TBH out of all of those guys to me Page is the most money. He should be in a HHH/Rock style feud with MJF over their "intercontinental" title.

My shocker for the night and out there prediction, Cassidy will pick up a win against PAC.

Sadly the Native Trans will keep "her" title. Literally taking oppurtunties from women. If Nyla wrestled as a dude she would be lucky to be curtain jerking infront of 10 people.

i love how much Cody hated HHH and is literally him in AEW. The ego on this guy to have a live band intro and big super entrance while nobody else gets one on the roster.

They should downvote you. Your criticisms are stupid.

you’re shitting on a match becuase of the referee?

He is arguably the biggest baby face on the roster next to Moxley, and his match is the co main event. This is the time for a big entrance

I ordered the PPV based on how good the last one was, did not disappoint. Darby vs Sammy great match, Mox vs Jericho great match, Young bucks vs Omega/hangman just wow!

Young Bucks, Hangman, Omega stole the show no doubt, one hell of a match. Early match of the year honors for sure

I'm sorry, can you not read? Not once did I shit on the match, I criticized her work as a ref because I personally think it's too over the top and distracting and as a result takes away from the match I'm invested in. I want to pay attention to the people trying to tell a story in the ring, not some ref who comes across like they're trying to shine a spotlight on themselves

I thought of you when she did that ridiculous winding up, 360 no scope throwing out of Hager and Co. during the main event. I don’t think I’ve cringed so hard in my life before seeing that

Other than that spot, I actually thought she was pretty good in that match. Wasn't too noticable unless it was actually necessary.

idk there were some chop spots in the corner early in the match where she sold them harder then the wrestlers were. She is by far my least favorite ref in wrestling, and maybe of all time. My wife occasionally watches and pointed out how awful matches are with her. That’s when I know it’s bad

And what you are saying is silly. “Over the top”? she isn’t hitting moves or jumping off the top rope. She is reffing the match. If she is distracting you from the match, I don’t know, maybe it’s you?

She ain't going to fuck you, bro. You may be ok with stupid shit as presented in the clip above, but it doesn't mean others are. You Aubrey cucks fans are easily the most annoying aspect of AEW. The second anyone says anything remotely negative about your queen, you dipshits dive in to defend her honor.

I couldn't believe that tattoo, that's possibly worst tattoo I've seen on a pro wrestler. What goes through ones head when they think I wanna get what could be at least an ok tattoo anywhere else and instead says , how bout the side of my neck?

What does Brandi see in this generic create a wrestler?

jufonuk jufonuk yeah I was really surprised not to have a debut last night. Figured either Hardy, Lee, or at least Cage. Once I saw that Fozzy had March dates it became obvious why we had the title change. Likely get Cage Wednesday, but I thought the pre-show before the PPV to drive up buys would have been a good spot for Hardy. Gives even the Preshow an anything can happen vibe, and lets be honest, Matt won't be anywhere near the main event so debuting him during the PPV isn't as needed.

I'll keep checking the recaps, but I've already removed AEW from the DVR. No way am I paying for PPV's as of yet, and it dulls the TV shows for me. Moxley is a perfectly fine champion, relevant, by no means a WWE washout, and possibly someone they can build a brand around long term. Jericho is also a huge plus IMO. But in what little time I have watched so far, that's kind of it for people who interest me. Hager has potential, but I haven't seen him really wrestle yet. And the indie darlings just haven't made me feel like I missed out having never seen them before. Then you've got a dumpster fire of a woman's division IMO, and way too much emphasis on a geriatric Goldust and his little brother who is blander (IMO) than saltines.

I'm still a little hopeful that they become a really exciting WWE alternative, reignite the old Monday night wars, etc., etc. But if the fans are getting excited over Matt Hardy joining the team, it tells me more about what AEW lacks than anything else.

I am not dunking on AEW but it shows still how powerful the WWE brand is when AEW's first two champs are former WWE guys. Hey it makes sense they are the biggest stars on the roster and deserve it and I don't see this as them taking WWE cast offs. But the big new company to make a splash goes with two WWE guys as their first 2 champs.

And call me crazy but I like the Brosersweights vs UE match better than the Elite tag team match. Thought Takeover Portland was better show overall then Revolution.

Revolution would of been 10 times better with NXTs announce team. Mauro's emotions and Nige's (thanks Beth) accent put how they say things above what they are saying. And I even think Beth has great chemistry with the other two and even though she may say some stupid and scripted sounded stuff, she plays of Nige and Mauro really well.

WWE always has talent, they just use so many people poorly or not at all even with so much tv time to fill.

I agree about ppvs though. I’m just not going to bother spending $50+ on those. Will be interesting to see if WWE moves their events off their network to ESPN+ or whatever.

I gotta say, something about the AEW announce team just doesn't work for me, and I think it's Tony and JR together. They are more or less the same person, doing the same job. I think I may be a minority in thinking this, but I actually like Excalibur when it's him and one other announcer. He should be the guy calling the moves...since he's the only one that knows the names of half of them, or even cares to learn them. So far when it's him and JR I'm happy, I could probably live with him and Tony if I needed to. 3 man booth is too much, and he struggles to interject since Tony and JR just talk and talk to eachother and he has to try to chime in to call the moves here and there.

I will say, I love Nigel on commentary though. Mauro for a while was good to me, but something about screaming about everything has really dulled his impact for me, and well Beth...she tries real hard.

For some reason, and I think it's because I just don't care for Matt Riddle I can't get behind their tag team. I'm not a fan of just thrown together teams because they have nothing to do with them. This feels like a major step down in the career of Pete Dunne would should be one of those NXT guys on the cusp of callup. I can't take their Dusty tourney at all since it feels like half the winners are just dudes with nothing to do teaming up and beating legit teams.

JR is good sometimes, and then other times he sounds like he couldn't care less and is phoning it in for WWF Smackdown Here comes the pain for the PS2.

Mauro says some stupid stuff, and his puns are sometimes just to much of a reach. Though I have to give him credit for calling the Willows bell a "greater comeback than Lazerus". But for me its not so much what he says, but how he says it. His enthusiasim and freaking out is so much better than JR/Tony's barely checked in. I could just imagine Mauro calling the Elite tag team match and going nuts over every kick out and big move.

Beth has been getting better on each broadcast. But like you said she tries, but what makes her work for me is the chemistry she has with the other 2. I like that she now starts calling Nigel, Nige.

To each there own, I could never really get behind Kenny and find him goofy. I think hangman is money and actually being held back by Omega right now. I think Dunn/Riddle weren't going for the NA title, or the NXT title so tag team title is really the only place they could shine.

And I think we need to get rid of the notion of "call ups". NXT is on USA its pretty much main roster level. And really going to SD or RAW just means being lost and forgotten in the shuffle. If Dunn was on SDL or RAW he wouldn't be doing anything anyways. Let him build NXT and eventually get into a main even feud and maybe even win the title.

Fair points, on everything but Kenny. He is box office good, but I think him and the Bucks were dumb to immediately use their hype and momentum to put over some of the dudes they did. I think it's part of the long term booking with Kenny to have him as to have lost his mojo or whatever, but that's a quick way with an audience to make them not care. The issue i have with Page is that he's NXT over, as in Full Sail/AEW fans will cheer anything. The "Cowboy Shit" thing is beyond dumb to me and that's his chant? He's got an 80s wrestlers body, and while athletic his match with Jericho showed us he's nowhere near ready for prime time. Him and MJF should be in a midcard title feud for the next 3 years IMO.

I guess it's hard to judge guys being over when it comes to AEW because they are just like ECW fans back in the day, they'll cheer anybody. Guys like Bucks, Kenny, Mox, Jericho, if any of those guys showed up on NXT/Raw/SD next week they get a major reaction from the crowd, if Page showed up it'd look alot like when James Storm showed up in NXT. Hardcores would notice, but the other 60% of the audience wouldn't care a bit.

I'm giving them time, but they NEED a bigger roster. I think the team of Page/Kenny should have imploded already, or at least here at Revolution (and I know they have it layed out with the way Hangman was propped to hit Omega). I think in a world where we are so used to WWE going way to fast with angles, AEW is almost waiting too long on some of theirs. For me that is Cody/MJF too, they just had their first official match and I'm already bored with this feud (Could be because Cody is more boring then listening to Michael Cole commentary). I could have loved to see the Kenny/Page breakup, or even a Bucks heel turn with Page to really shake shit up. They either need to go all in (No pun intended) with the Elite group...actually being ELITE and IDK winning matches or blow them up for good and have them go their separate ways.

We need Cage and Brodie, and even Matt (maybe he can help get some Dark Order member over) and create some new matchups. Kenny can't really do much other then feud with Page since we've seen him lose to Jericho, lose to Mox, and split some matches with Pac....like there is no other main event for him. I assume we see Cage or Brodie next up for Moxley, until IDK. With Jericho there felt like alot of avenues to go with him and feuds, not really sure where you can go with the Ambrose+ character.

I think in a world where we are so used to WWE going way to fast with angles, AEW is almost waiting too long on some of theirs. For me that is Cody/MJF too, they just had their first official match and I'm already bored with this feud (Could be because Cody is more boring then listening to Michael Cole commentary). I saw someone else say something similar today and it surprised me. They've only just recently started the Omega/Page storyline. I don't see the need to rush a turn already.

I guess I am like you with Riddle. I just don't see it in Kenny. Maybe if he toned down all his pantomining and goofy faces I could get into him. But I agree they need to get him into a better storyline. Tag team partners that break up isn't doing it for me. Hangman reminds me of a pudgier Adam Cole LOL. But I like where he is going with his character and to me he is the most over out of those 4 guys even if its stupid shit that is getting him over. I agree MJF and Hangman should be involved in a Rock/HHH like Intercontinental feud. AEW needs a TV title (since cody loves to rip of WCW)

I agree. A guy like OC, while funny probably wouldn't get over on RAW or SDL. Same with the best friends and Marko Stunt. 90% of the women would get crickets. I mean I get the love for OC but chanting fight forever and this is awesome over some light tap kicks come on.

I'm giving them time, but they NEED a bigger roster. I think the team of Page/Kenny should have imploded already, or at least here at Revolution (and I know they have it layed out with the way Hangman was propped to hit Omega). I think we will start getting some debuts, don't forget about Lance Archer. I actually think there wasn't much more to do with Chris and the belt so it was the right time to take it off of him. But Mox as champ is just Dean as champ and that never really was super amazing. Ok he swears a bit more now but he is still Dean Ambrose. I remember fans were shitting all over his last title run.

The roster is still a bit thin and they have a couple of useless guys like Dr. Luther, Havoc, Sony Kiss, Avalon. So some new talents will help. But lets see if they will avoid going 3 for 3 on world champs being WWE guys. The next champ should be a homegrown guy who was never in WWE.

cryptoadam cryptoadam Yeah I don't think they can realistically put it on another ex-WWE guy at this point. I think he holds it til the prop Kenny back up into the main event.

That's my issue with Mox too, I never enjoyed his Ambrose character and yeah it's just that turned up a few notches. Shield entrance and all. He's an ok worker, but nothing special and the draw to him is the violence which isn't something that I care about seeing out there each week. He'll likely go into some type of feud with a debut and maybe some Inner Circle Underlings in the meantime til Jericho returns. ( I actually think you have Jericho kicked out of IC by Hager) and Jericho can return as the babyface that the fans sing his entrance song to.

Yeah all those names at the bottom of your post are just legit wasted money, I see nothing of value in any of them. I think Darby could be a potential star, but man his size....it's small, and I don't know enough about Archer to have a take on him as of yet.
