I mean good. No movie, video game, tv show, or whatever should be left with cliffhanger endings.

Argh you beat me by 3 minutes! Glad to hear this, and I think it’s great that they’re going to allow him to appear in Sony’s non-Spidey movies.

pretty sure there is too much money to be made for them to drop the alliance. Anyway, the last two Spiderman have been really good with the MCU incorporation and i'm glad it will continue.

Just watched Far from Home a week or two ago and I really enjoyed it.

Haven't really enjoyed a Spider Man movie since Raimi's SM2, and other than the first Iron Man, Disney's MCU outings haven't come close to the calibre of that movie.

The other Sony Spider Man movies have also been shit, but I would still rather them take another shot at it than Disney, as I honestly think that they suck at filmaking outside of animation.

Sony also got more from Disney. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

New Multi-Year Deal Delivers Full Suite of Sports, News and Entertainment Networks from Walt Disney Television and ESPN to PS Vue Customers

It expands upon the previous deal and supports the companies’ mutual goal to deliver the best video content to customers across multiple platforms.

The new agreement includes the newly acquired FX and National Geographic networks as well as ESPN’s newly launched ACC Network. Sony will continue to provide its PlayStation Vue customers with access to ABC, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, ESPN College Extra, ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Bases Loaded, SEC Network, ACC Network, Longhorn Network, FX, FXX, FXM, Fox Life, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, BabyTV, and ABC News Live.

“PlayStation Vue delivers a television viewing experience through a seamless user interface that focuses on personalization, and that is an attractive offering as consumers navigate their video options,” said Sean Breen, SVP, Disney Media Distribution. “We look forward to continue serving subscribers the full value of our content from Walt Disney Television and ESPN, which now includes the FX and National Geographic networks and the newly launched ACC Network.”

PlayStation Vue offers over 80 top live news, sports, kids, and lifestyle channels and is available on many devices. Not surprised.
I was kind of curious to see Sony in complete control again but they set up enough in FFH for sequels which would make it weird if they then had to ignore it all.

Disney uses capeshit money in shady homeland security deals to watch you masturbate. Don't watch these movies, don't go along gently with their seemingly inevitable cultural domination. Disney is not your country. Based Sony tried their best to stand up to that tyranny, but the pressure was too strong. Now it's up to us.

That's cool. I've enjoyed Spider Man so far. I didn't see the newest one. I'll rent it down the road.

Dr. Strange 2 also looks amazing.

That's most of what I am actually looking forward to in MCU now.

Still, if you think about it then it would have made for a legit reason as to why there is no Spider-Man. Peter has gone into hiding after his identity got leaked. Hopefully they don't backtrack on this and deliver something interesting.

Not sure if the wording is off but they say he will be in "A" MCU movie. Wondering if they will close out the current arch in the MCU and then pass him back.

Fuck Disney, greedy fucks. Also I kept hearing last night during Thursday Night Football that dish is losing espn/fox.

Honestly, I'm guessing that the videogame rights were a big sticking point in the negotiations. Disney will be looking at the huge bank Sony have made on Insomniac's game and thought these guys are getting more juice out of Spidey than we are. So lets stretch em a bit.

I wonder if we were all just part of the negotiations? Lol. If our fan outcry was used by one or both of the studios to set more agreeable terms?

I both kind of hate and love this rethinking of JJJ where he’s essentially a right-wing media host. :messenger_tears_of_joy: On one hand, it’s probably just more propaganda from those who would never cast the other side in the same light, on the other hand, it’s a hilariously good fit.

(My favorite spidey scene of all time btw)

Possibly mine too. 2000s comic book movies are so much better than the MCU that it’s unreal.

Sony blinked. They gave up 25% equity (the wording is ambiguous and may mean 25% equity of the license or 25% equity of just the 3rd film). If it's the former that means Disney now owns 25% of the Spider-man license. If it's the latter that means Sony went from paying 5% first day gross to 25% overall gross.

PSVue is big for Sony and this is a big get, but it's not like they get exclusive rights to these channels. And not like they are not paying an exorbitant amount of money for them. Plus, do you think Disney did NOT want to sell all these channels to as many MVPD as possible, including PSVue? lol

Wasn’t worried for a second.

This was just getting the public involved in Sony and marvels little squabble over the money, no way was it ever going to happen.

I still don’t really get what Sony gets out of this deal. Shouldn’t Sony also be contributing and profiting from MCU movies he’s featured in to make it fair?

Remember how at the end of Endgame, Spider-Man was the first person to run over to Tony Stark and then he got shoved aside by Gwyneth Paltrow in her Zero Suit Samus cosplay.

This your Spider-Man folks.

I just watched the Raimi trilogy this week, and for my money I enjoy those more than anything from the MCU. Yes even 3.

The Andrew Garfield movies are better and have a way more interesting Peter Parker than the MCU films. The MCU movies don't even attempt the more grounded struggles that PP has in the comics like trying to pay rent or make it to class on time. There's no dichotomy between Spider-Man and PP in the MCU films which is the thing that made him extremely in the first place.

"Bu-bu-bu-what would Mister Stark do????" "MISTAH STARK?" "MISTAH STARK?"

God I hate how the MCU turned Spider-Man into a whiny ass bottom bitch. MCU Spider-Man is the worst written version of him EVER.
The biggest problem is how every Spider-Man villain or stuff relating to Peter is inherently tied to Tony Stark. Why did they do this at all?!
