They've been wearing genderless jerseys for a while now, no one cares. You offer them up a dress version, if they want it, and now heads need to roll. Fuck off with this nonsense. It looks decent actually and I'm sure some people would want to wear it.

Cute dress.

It actually looks terrible. Take away all the hoopla and just look at it as a non gamer dress. No way would my wife want to wear a dress that looks like a gaming chair.

So you and your wife don’t like it, doesn’t mean it won’t appeal to some females.

The outrage over it is ridiculous though. Feminists and such complain that gaming is a boys club yet when a candidate mount tries to make something for the opposite gender, they freak out.

If they don’t like it, just don’t buy it. Is it that difficult? It’s OPTIONAL! Why people and feminists need to complain about everything? Honestly, they are probably complaining because it’s something remotely feminine, girly or cute as well.

I bet at least 50% of the adult radical twitfems screaming about the male designer own a pair of Jimmy Choos.

i heard about this during the day but i didn't want to read any articles or get biased from any thinkpieces. so i just went to their website. it looked fine, offering a bunch of different non-gendered items. then i saw a link to "Cranium Women's" on the menu. i clicked and it took me here:

https://craniumapparel.co/product-category/cranium-womens/

lol the ONLY thing on the page is this dress. now, im not doing to flip out about it, but if they had some other designs, this wouldn't look nearly as bad. just having this one dress on an empty page with nothing else though, ugh, it's a PR nightmare waiting to happen.

Utterly offensive...

I mean... imagine if this happened in other industries?

Like what if Ferrari did something like thi.... Oh wait...

I'd live to see people try this with Ferrari ..They'd be like

"HAHAHAH!You broke ass bitches couldn't afford the dress no how so boycott away!"

People will find a way to bitch about something one way or another. Social media enables these kinds of things to happen and in most cases encourages it. It is the toilet of the internet.

Real Madrid released the outfit below and it was a critical success. Sold out everywhere. Needless to say the target audience for that was true girls and women, not twitter crybabies with complex problems.

Just don't buy it if you don't like it.

Doesn't that seem reasonable?
In the normal world. In social media world though, heh... It reminds me of a certain gender when they get together and gossip non-stop, oh the headache. Nothing makes sense and they don't know what they want.

If thy put a model to wear the dress it will make Twitter’s crybaby jealous instead to hate.

The dress is really cool.. it is like a dress version of gaming shirt.

It's like the jerseys only in dress form. Yes it's silly, but so is the whole concept of gamer gear.

You have to imagine that their customer base is 99% male, so why would they design, fabricate, and market multiple items for females? Maybe it would have been better to start with a woman's t-shirt or something, but more items wouldn't make good business sense.

Yes, I agree, the dress should have been more conservative?

Or completely comrade level?

There is a girl like that on my FaceBook list, she once posted a picture of herself looking a bit more feminine than usual (she had a nice dress, a bit makeup and some jewelry, just classy, nothing incredibly sexy)... on her description she was apologizing to her friends, who are like her, for fitting in her stereotype.

I mean, at some point there has to be a proper middle ground, where you let people be who they are, the important thing is that guys who do mis behave get what's coming to them (it's not as if telling a guy to control himself around women is a new thing)... and well, you could call the girls who reacted in the tweets above some form of "blame the victim", because when you infer that man can just use a women like she was some furniture, don't you just take her agency away? or you warn her that guys will loose control around her if she shows too much skin? Mind you, some guys who are predatory will definitely target girls in short dresses more than those who wear dirty clothes, assuming all else is equal.

Looks fine to me.

Feminists are such weirdos and prudes these days that they REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE over a simple dress.

They are ugly women almost 100% of the time and are jealous of the concept of beauty. They want to implement a communism of beauty where ever woman has to become uglier so they feel better. If everyone starts wearing a burqa, they are all equal all of a sudden.

I think for most of you the issue is going over your head.

This isn't just some dumb item in the womens section, it IS the women's section. They basically said 'bitches be wearing dresses when they eSport.' To make it even more laughable they hashtagged it with a we are 4 da wuhmans twitter feed. You'd almost think it was a joke.

It's like going back to the days from a League of their Own where the girls had to wear dresses to play big league softball.

Surely even people who are anti SJW can see why this would be a slap in the face to women looking for a fair shake. Shit I'm hella anti SJW and I can see it. No need to be such that you can't acknowledge some legitimate complaints every once in a while.

Why waste time complaining about a piece of textile you're not gonna buy? Complain about people having no shelter and being destitute instead.

Looks like a cheerleader uniform LOL. But c'mon now seriously who asked for this? i can get behind the thought that it looks stupid and stereotypical but so much outrage over nothing is...well...stupid. Just don't buy it if you're bothered by it that much xD

To be fair, this is pretty much what many women are using in twitch and youtube for subscribers, lets not pretend otherwise.

The dress itself, it basically looks like a Netball outfit. Why you would wear one at an eSports event I don't know. Can't imagine freedom of movement and cooling is a must have.

Heaven forbid that a player gets to wear what is typically part of their wardrobe, to work. The company marketing is odd as hell but the concept of having a dress available to players that wish to wear one is fine.

A company that's trying too hard, and a whiny mass of Twitter users looking for something to complain about. Everyone sucks in this scenario.

I do think some of the people mad about this are using it as a way to get likes and follows on Twitter though. Like the dress is ugly, but it's not sexist.

Very solid point. It is weird that they don't have some women shaped t-shirts also.

That's attractively tapered and exactly the kind of thing my wife buys. And again, cutting men & women's clothing in very different ways is simply good aesthetics; the only reason one could possibly prefer androgynous cuts is if they're (a) overweight and therefore no longer conforming to either gender's shape, or (b) rail thin / flat / hipless women that try to emulate the look of adolescent boys for some misguided "non-binary" fantasy.

The "zipper to show more titty" comment is crazy, I'd rather think that thing is there to be able to, well, to put the head through it without hurting your ears or tearing apart the dress.

2 hahas.
First this (from OP):

Since the announcement, Cranium Apparel has been busy tweeting responses to the widespread criticism. It has stated that the company did conduct research with women during development of the dress, and has “a bunch of women” working on future products. It also stated that it’s working on jerseys fitted for female bodies.

Second, while I doubt my spouse would like dress (although, not sure she wouldn't either) I'm pretty sure she would prefer it over this outfit:
