I had Nunes by an easy TKO anyway.

It's a disappointment that after having such an easy fight against Rousey and taking 7 months to get to her next fight she pulls out at the last minute but I'm still looking forward to this event as much as I was before this fight was cancelled.

I'm so used to seeing fighters flatten out their opponent and then just get the tko cuz the guy on the bottom covers up, but Giles got him to make openings and chose his shots so well. I love really efficient violence.

That's my issue as well. I don't really care that the fight is off, but now Valentina has done all the work and doesn't get to fight.

If she didn't tell Dana she was feeling sick she completely fucked up. There's no excuse for that. Dana might be talking out of his ass about being scared but he's justified to be frustrated, he could have had someone else lined up if she told him.

Pulling out at the absolute last second like this would have gotten her justifiably cut if she wasn't champ. She fucked up the money for Valentina, too.

Overeem gets a guaranteed 800k for the fight tonight. I always forget he's one of the most well payed UFC fighters. In fact I think he's maybe the highest paid fighter to never hold the belt? Can't think of any other that make almost a million per fight and never held the strap

I dont get the Nunes defense force. She fucked up extremely. THis could be the worst pull out of all time. I dont remember a fighter pulling out hours before a championship fight.

It's never happened before. Like I said, if she wasn't the champ who devoured Rousey she'd be cut.

I also think this shit doesn't happen under Lorenzo.

This UFC is different and the fighters especially after this Reebok deal aren't going to go out on a limb if they don't have to.

Making Valentina cut weight and go through everything else just to back out is some real bullshit. It's entirely on Nunes.

I don't feel too much sympathy for Nunes if this is weight cut related or if she didn't bring the UFC in on this. If she had told them early on in the week we could have had a guaranteed replacement for tonight.

If she did tell them though and this illness has nothing in relation to her weight cut I feel for her

ding ding. The reebok deal is bad for 99% of the lineup. They're not gonna go out on a limb like you said.

That's the thing. She knew she felt bad. Not informing the UFC and then pulling out at the very last minute is worse than any of the Bones pullouts, its worse than any pullout as far as I know.

Correction she was medically cleared by doctors on both Friday and Saturday. Doesn't mean she doesn't have something going on but doctors on two separate occasions told her she was fit to fight

Reem deserves it. He's been around forever and is a legend at this point. Still a top contender and personality.

Yeah I agree he deserves it and is a decent draw. It just always surprises me how much he makes compared to other fighters. Like every card he's on he is usually the highest paid

Randleman when he got knocked out by some pipes backstage before the fight. That was well before Zuffa was even involved though.
